Hopefully it can get blasted with some good rain, we have all the hoses put away for the winter. The only thing I can think of for that piece, if it IS a shade different then it was the start of a new metal coil . . . everything was stacked in the garage so fading shouldn't have been an issue . . .
Yes, the outside is "mostly" done, at least the siding part is done ;) Working on insulation right now and WOW that basement is a LIFESAVER with heating the house with ground heat!
*The workers are getting it all done as fast as they can aye 🙂 You & Erik are doing a grand job getting things done too 🙂 Good to see face masks now being worn too 🙂 Roll onto next week's video 🙂nz*
I hope you get the Garage Doors on before Winter really arrives. Board and Batten? Not. Glad you are wearing a serious mask. Good luck with the Weather and progress. Please get some Pro Help for that Ceiling Dry Wall. Erik has a new Career Plan.
@@ruralridez6165 You will need some cross pieces to help combat wind forces. I did the same on a local horsebarn for the season. Found it quicker and better to rough frame and plywood for Temp wall.
Yep looks like 2 lights over the island in the kitchen should cover no mater how your standing it shouldn't cause a shadow just as long they are the same watt lights !! But what do I know I'm not a pro just thinking out loud .good video it looking good yal have a long way to go & like always when it comes to the inside work it slow down a good bit .
Wonderful Video Today!..... Seems as though for only being in the brand new barn that things are going pretty well. From your earlier pre-new barn videos it has been almost a complete change in how you used to do things. Were You given a different set of expectations on how fast everything would take to get fully up to speed in the New Barn?. the video today was great in that we got your honest views on so many parts of the new operation. From all of the videos I have seen so far and as a complete outsider fascinated in this whole process, the one thing that strikes me a bit is the amount of manure splatter you are getting on your walls, is that to be expected?, or it could just be me after seeing all of that brand new concrete ..... LOL. I have to THANK YOU again for continuing to bring us all along on this Magical Journey to the 21st century Hollcana Robotic Dairy Farm. I still look daily for the latest video from You sharing with all of us...........
Oh we don't have animals up by the house, they stay out in the pasture, lol. That's just clay mud on the house. Really I think the project is going slower than expected, there was a house around the corner from us that suddenly appeared out of nowhere (a private build, not a builder spec house) and ours has taken 6 months just to finish the shell. There is a guy building a smaller version of a house like ours the next city over and he's building it ALL on his own after working all day, and he's just slightly ahead of us, having started the exact same time (and he's not a pro OR a builder). I release (usually) videos every Sunday night, so if you haven't gotten a notification, you can always check back Monday morning :)
The main area will be Elco lighting modules, so they should last quite a bit longer than most leds... the soffit lights though are a bigger pain to change out :)
It's catching up quickly! We have been pretty lucky with weather, but no one is working in bad weather anyway so there wouldn't be any footage of bad weather regardless ;D
One island is 8ft the other is 9ft . . . Because everything will be in the open, we opted for long led strip lights, so they won't detract from other visuals in the area :) But those come in set lengths, so we had to figure out where to place them, or if they should both be the same length or different lengths :)
quite a project you have decided to take on and you have the passion and desire to succeed unfortunately though the same cant be said for your bum husband
Oh this project is his baby, lol, I'm lucky if he lets me handle a drill, lol! I was only teasing him about going inside for a nap - he puts in 9 hour days at work each night before coming home to work on the house and working all weekend on the house ;)
Great work Everybody, Thank You for taking us along Suzanne👌👍🙏🙏🙂
Thanks!
Great to see the house coming along 💯👍👍
Hi Sue..............gave you another 👍👍 Greetings from Illinois
Starting to look GREAT
Looking really nice.
Nice ty
That one piece in the front still looks like it’s a shade off.

We use that Rockwool insulation at work all the time. Not to bad to work with. House is moving right along.
Does it make you choke up too? or do you use respirators?
@This1LifeWeLive neither. Doesn't bother us at all. Doesn't make me
@This1LifeWeLive no problems on that end just find odd things in it like chunks of steel.
It's looking good. You probably have the exterior all finished for winter by now. Hoping it's insulated so good that you can heat it with a candle.

Neither of us could take the rock wool dust! I had to vacuum weekly too because even walking in I started choking up :)
@This1LifeWeLive I didn't even touch the insulation and I was still itching.

i just bought some heavy duty tarps for the garage doors. they are 6-8 weeks out.

You guys are going to have fun when you need to change out a bulb lol

How far back is this video? You seem to be having really good luck with the weather as here we are almost in December.

Eric forgot his gun again.
what kind of metal siding is that?
amish rolled board batten
I did Google it & rule of thumb 4 to 5ft island 2lights
& 6 to 8ft 2 to 3 lights . I'm sure yal already check tho . Later

Where are the tractor washing videos
Most are being moved off onto my farming channel, there should be a link in the video description :)
you need more help on your home
We ALMOST did with the tall drywall, but we figured out a decent system. Although this weekend we ended up with LOTS of help, lol
Uhhh....I'm feeling a little de-ja vu???
