I'd really like to see some more videos from you! They're really informative and they make everything much simpler. Hopefully you continue with this channel
Because this cultivar grows a little on the tomentose side of the spectrum you really can't tell any difference from the side either. Up close it looks like more of the surface is covered on the CV but to the naked eye it looks as if the Dino tub's myc is slightly thicker
Yes I will, this particular strain turns out was an extremely slow grower and not a great producer. I can tell you though the 2 substrate performed almost neck and neck
Hahahaha, so when I chose the strain for this experiment I didn’t realize what a slow grower it was, they are JUST about fully colonized and I’ll be doing an update here in the couple of days lol
Id be interested to do some potency tests and see if the manure makes a difference in the chemical make up of the fruit......maybe that will be the next experiment ;)
Lowkey have doubts about nutrient substrates. My bet is that there will be no noticable difference, but since your sponsored by dino soil youll find a way to say its better. No hate tho just my opinion. Hopefully im wrong.
I'm not sponsored by them at all, I've been using their products for years and have never done a head to head comparison. This is an unbiased experiment and you can see the results for yourself. Big assumption you're throwing out there that I'll "find a way to say its better" you can take that crap elsewhere my dude.
@@RealSimpleMushrooms Your right, it is an assumption. I assumed your discount code for their products was part of a sponsorship. My bad, not trying to spread hate. I'm a skeptic by nature.
@@RealSimpleMushrooms Have you noticed any difference with fruit sizes & yields with dino soil compared to cvg .. i was thinking about going with poogod but im not sure
Not so much, but I do notice a difference in substrate colonization time. I really don't think the manue content in dino soil is very high TBH. Cubes are a dung loving species and they will always do better on manure than not.@@joeoh8482

More to come soon! About to get back in the lab, been a very busy summer so far
"update in another week," 4 months later:
.....
To me it looks like CV is taking the lead, how does it look from the side of the tub? Is one getting a thicker layer than the other?

@@RealSimpleMushrooms are you going to post the follow up video or did you not get the results you wanted?

You make some great videos. Great content. Simple and to the point. Keep them coming. Looking forward to more updates and tutorials.
Where's part 3 , I can't wait any longer. I been checking every week , I need Answers lol

We want the results please…..
lol hey nice videos, you forgot to link to the graphting tape you use on the agar video
This is the stuff I like to see
More coming soon!
Based off what has been shown, my guess is that the CVG will start to pin first but the Dino soil will finish with a higher yield.
Id be interested to do some potency tests and see if the manure makes a difference in the chemical make up of the fruit......maybe that will be the next experiment ;)
I'm on board!
@@RealSimpleMushrooms Sounds good!
Do we have an update for this one? 🙏 Hope all is well!
Looks like the Dino soil is not as wet.
