So I've been enumerating Enterobacteriaceae in food products, but the confirmation test on oxidase results were always oxidase-positive. I searched and some articles said an exception of Enterobacteriaceae which is oxidase-positive: it's Plesiomonas shigelloides. But how do I confirm this? I need help
There's two types of MacConkey the one with crystal violet and the one without the crystal violet. Some GPCs grow on MacConkey without crystal violet but the one that has the crystal violet inhibits the growth of other GPCs

Staphylococcus grows on macConkey but it is gram positive
No, staph won't grow in Mac

Non fermenters - only salmonela typhi , check your information
Salmonella, Yersinia, Shigella and Proteus are all non fermenters enterobacteriaceae!
Slow fermenters are considered to be non fermenters hence the other organisms are included.
