I've been listening and watching Jay Leno for almost 50 years and I always thought he was a good comedian but had no idea he was such a philanthropist and charitable person. Listening to JLG for the past 10 years has changed that! We need more folks like Jay in this world. I love his "car guy" attitude but what really impresses me is that he is a down to earth unpretentious man who could be full of himself but has chosen a more meaningful role in his life after "Tonight". I do know a lot of people my age that are full of themselves. Can't figure out why they are so impressed with themselves. Keep it up Jay!
Twenty years from now it will be an oddity and a total luxury to drive around in a non assisted non electric car. Not mad about it just a crazy time of change we live in.

Could have perhaps strapped Larry to a chair and shined an arc light on his head, forcing him to reluctantly share more information about the car and its development.
When Jay said he was going to hop in, I thought of "Young Frankenstein" where Gene Wilder tells the guy to hop off the gurney. It takes the guy about 30 seconds to get off and Gene Wilder says, "Nice hopping."

Yeah what a putz. He could have had some product placement or a logo’ d golf shirt. Says a lot
Not trying to dog pile, but even I noticed it seemed like he was phoning it in.
well he is talking about a "product" that they don't even make anymore.
I see Larry doesn't like talking, that's odd for a salesman.
Amazing power to horsepower ratio on that. Thanks Larry!
Wow- how the F did that guy land the "Head of NA" job- sure wasn't his personality! He sounded and acted like he was pissed to even be there with Jay getting some free advertising?!
I was laughing so hard out that guy! They should have had some passionate Italian guy represent the car. Or better yet Larry the Cable Guy that should be this guy's new nickname.
He reminds me of a seasoned FBI agent in a b movie.
I was hoping for so much more from an Alfa rep, but this guy has zero salesmanship and no displayed knowledge of Alfa’s rich racing and motoring history. Jeez.
With guys like this in charge, no wonder Alfa sales are falling flat in the US.
@@squareguy1973 No, No, NO! He looks just like Mel the dirty cop in "Scarface".
I sit here with tears in my eyes looking at this. I love my Zoe 916 Spider but this is a fantastic car that I could fall in love with as well. I wish we had proper Alfa Romeo distribution in the UK.
Geez, that Alfa guy really, really didn't want to be there.
Dude most likely was an accountant or manager that was stepped up into the executive position. Not many outgoing 'car guys' make it to the top.
He was oozing stoic enthusiasm while showing general restraint. 😆
He use to customers wearing tuxedos.

Guy reminds me of a less snarky Tony Stark.
Larry is about refreshing as a bag of bricks.
Gotta love the attitude of the company representative. He didn't want to be there... surrounded by automotive royalty!
Alfa Romeo brand IS actually automotive royalty.
Jay was way more enthusiastic about the car than the representative...
The rep from Alfa Romero is so dry😒
I would be happy to switch jobs with the rep. any day.
I think he was more worried about respecting the social distancing rules in the garage. 🤔
Damn Larry, you couldn't contain your excitement right?
The thing that killed me about Larry… “We are half a second quicker than ‘those products.’” Like…wtf, man?
when did he say that? I was watching but not paying full attention
He talks like an accountant. Maybe he is not native English speaker, and not used to speak for cameras, he was not at easy presenting the car.

No, better: he looks like Mathilda's dad!
Higgins had style!

Hahaha, that's awesome..
Was there something wrong with Larry?
Jay: what can you tell me about this car?
Larry: huh huh it has 4 wheels… they round… classic round… huh…
Please companies, don’t sent your higher ups…. Or at least bring the hands on guy… the little guy that knows everything…
The commenters on this channel, are a tough crowd, quickly judging and crushing presenters on the show. He wasn't that terrible, though usually a marketing or sales person talks more. Jay was certainly doing more explaining.
People should cut the guy some lack, imagine how nerve racking it must be on film for such a large audience
He WAS that terrible! He had no passion or enthusiasm for Alfas. My first car was an Alfa Romeo back in the 1960’s . They get into your blood. That guy is obviously the living dead with no blood left.
@@killerhertzmercedes I agree with cutting the guy some slack. But also, I don't think he was nervous, and if he was, he shouldn't work in this job. I do sales presentations and don't get nervous, but prefer to let the product speak for itself.
@@mikedx2706 Surely you have a point, but it's subjective as well. When a guest from a car company is overly animated, I sometimes find it annoying that he's trying to hard to sell, instead of just showing off the car. It's been an ongoing topic on this channel for a long time. I wonder if he didn't want to ride with Jay, or Jay preferred to drive without him.
@@wyskass861 in my opinion, the President of a company needs to be its most enthusiastic promoter. This guy acts like someone told to go out to California and let a guy out there drive the Alfa 4C for some free press coverage because “we don’t have anyone else” available to show the car. He’s the freakin’ President of the company, not some Summer intern!
Larry's boss- "YOU'RE GOING TO THE JAY LENO SHOW LARRY, AND YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE FUN!"

Jay - the ultimate professional. This episode shows how hard it is to look and be natural on TV. Thanks for another great episode.
A lot easier if you care at all about what you're there for
Hard for Larry, perhaps lol. How difficult was it to get excited about one of the most beautiful and best-handling cars, especially since it's an Alfa?? The guy's reluctance to talk and him standing so far away like the car has the bubonic plague and his whole demeanor and body language was so disappointing and unintentionally funny.
Probably cuz for real there isn't something special about it. The car seems boring and borrowing every thing from different manufacturers.
@@silver10188 hahaha it borrowed from it's own Alfa Romeo heritage. It was Alfa who started all those design trends. Your ignorance is astounding. But you're in good company. A majority of sheep like you don't understand history

"...as a mutual, yet nearly inaudible sigh passed between the men, Larry drifted off to the mix-up at the airport earlier that day. Had he and that Harley Davidson dude somehow left LAX with each other's carry-ons?
Now it gripped him; the horrible scope of the moment, welding his feet in place, rendering him stiff and mute as he watched Mr. Leno spin earthward and thrust all 254 pounds of bored celebrity at the Tributo's open door, dragging two clown-sized Skechers across polished carbon fiber and Tuscan calfskin.
As his day's first client faded just out of view, Larry heard a final telltale Akrapovical blast from the unencumbered pipes of the 4C. As he pondered the inevitably bleak years ahead, one thought kept repeating itself:
"Piece o' cake!"

It's no wonder Johnny gave him his dad's car. I am the same age as Jay and we grew up about 30 miles apart from each other (I don't know nor have ever met him - but wish I had). I do know a lot of people my age that are full of themselves. Can't figure out why they are so impressed with themselves. Keep it up Jay!

I just found it curious that Jay had to practically pry information from the guy who should be the standard bearer for the brand in N.A.. Could have perhaps strapped Larry to a chair and shined an arc light on his head, forcing him to reluctantly share more information about the car and its development.
In case you didn't catch it, the car's not broken in yet, so doesn't have full power, but it still pulls well and handles great.
