Nice video. After several years using only the iPhone, I’ve now switched back to a compact full-frame mirrorless camera. The iPhone simply cannot compete on quality, colour, low-light, bokeh etc. I can instantly tell which photos were taken on the phone vs the full-frame camera. And they say gear doesn’t matter… 😊
I have an iPhone and got myself X-M5 recently. The camera is simply amazing for the price, but moving a file of 10GB+ to a laptop/phone for editing and uploading gives me some hassle. I probably stick to producing videos solely on my phone, especially if it wasn't for quality-sensitive tasks
Loved the video ♥️ I decided to get a camera, the x-m5. I want to get into photography especially now that I travel each year. I feel the camera gives me that excitement and be immersed in that creative moment - a creative escape!
With the Fuji you can dial a film simulation and shoot with great quality SOOC. With the phone you need to record in log or raw to edit in post to get good enough quality. In normal video the oversharpening is atrocious, the vibrance and dehaze are to the top. Maybe a third party app can deliver good video SOOP
Thanks for the video! To my eyes on my 6-year-old iPad, differences in the intro images looked too subtle that I would probably settle for my iPhone for uploading to social media (I’m an ex-camera enthusiast who still shoots with 7D Mark II and equally old Sigma lenses). I do like Fuji’s retro body designs though…
@@thefilmalliance I have already an iPhone 15 pro max, so it's more about if I want the XM5 as my b cam along my XH2 ;). Due to lack of stock for the XM5 and absence of internet ProRes recording I'll wait for a bit, but I might definitely buy that XM5. Or maybe XT50...
This was a great video and comparison! And one I hadn't seen yet, but it's perfect since this was intention and use case Fuji made this camera for. Computational photography/videography is incredibly capable now and very impressive, so good results are easier to achieve and are at times probably better than a dedicated camera. Especially when viewing on a phone/social media. However, unless ultimate compactness and ease is your main need, a dedicated camera with larger sensor and real lenses will "always" produce better results, or at least give you the potential for it. And the ability to use different lenses will unlock that potential and creativity. But really, if all you have is a phone, you can still do amazing things on par with any other photographer. I've been shooting since my first DSLR the Nikon D40 (and now I feel old lol), but I still use my phone camera every time I'm out doing landscape or travel or street photography.
I would love to see you compare the X-M5 to the X100V (same gen) and how to make a X-M5 a budget more versatile version of the X100 with lenses and accesoiries (I have the X-M5 since today with the 27mm 2.8 TTartisan and considering stuff like a thumb grip, L-griop and a release button etc)
I’ve had the camera for a while. I said I was going to sell it, but I’m giving it another shot. Maybe I rushed to judgment, but I tend to like the video out of this camera more than the photos which was not what I expected. Also, we’re all waiting for that day when Apple makes their own camera with either a full frame or a crop sensor camera with Apple captation photography that’s gonna be insane.
It’s great you’re giving it another go. I’ve heard a lot of people are getting a bit burnt out on the latest and greatest, so maybe you’re ahead of the curve. We are waiting for that Apple Camera for sure. Are you sure that's happening?
@ I don’t see how it’s not in the future the younger generation like my daughter’s want a camera that’s dedicated, but they want that image to go direct to their phone. They don’t want to work with third-party software or post processing at least not my daughters so if you had a dedicated Apple style camera from Apple that brings all that computer science and power to a dedicated camera with a larger sensor that’s the next generation. I’m surprised Samsung, nor Sony has jumped on this idea since they make phones already and have the computer power behind them. Maybe they know once that’s done it’s gonna be hard time for the camera industry selling dedicated cameras that don’t transfer to your phone effortlessly. Interesting times ahead by the way I love your work. I watched your videos when you first started out and good Lord you outdo everybody now.

Hi Joe! Excellent channel. love what you are doing. Could you maybe give some tips for filming using a front facing camera (iPhone 15 and 16 pro) for us people that want to produce content with what we have? Maybe you already have this but seeing a simple setup and some tips on this would be great. Thanks for your excellent work! It takes a ton of time to produce what you do and it doesn’t go without appreciation.
Okay I’ll have to include info like that in these videos for people who only use their front facing cameras on their phones. Thank you for the recognition.
This is a very welcome and unbiased review of these “cameras.” Job well done! I have spend over a decade traveling to the UK. Most of that time I carried a shoulder bag loaded with a DSLR, three lenses, and the usual additions - spare batteries, lens and sensor cleaning gear, and filters. After two weeks in country shooting from dawn to dusk my back and shoulder were a wreck. Once I got my hands on an iPhone 13 Pro Max, I never looked back. The X-M5 is a capable little camera, but I was really stunned by how well the image quality iPhone 16 Pro Max held up - especially when it comes to shooting video. If you want to improve the iPhone images look in to one of the apps that allow more exposure control. Your channel is really worth subscribing to.
Thanks PD, I agree, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is impressive compared to the Fuji X-M5. If your shooting in low light the iPhone 16 Pro can’t really stand with the Fuji X-M5 but all other scenarios (other than stab) I think it’s a tough decision. Thanks for the comment
Nice video ! About the price, the X-M5 is 900€ in Europe, at least in France. 665€ was maybe during the pre-order phase ? Edit: 900€ body alone, 1000€ with the kit lense
Can we get sharp portraits and landscape photos in day light and night time with XM5 without stabilization and non stabilized lenses, because all good sharp prime lenses are non stabilized? or Sony a6700 is good option instead?
Excellent content!. The average Joe already has an iPhone16 (or equivalent like: pixel, samsung etc) so buying an X-M5 makes no sense. The versitility of the iPhone from macro to 5x on the just wins. Sure the X-M5 will always produce better results but often needs to be paired with the right lense and fuji lenses are expensive (compared to the phone you already have in your pocket). I have a camera silimar to an X-M5 and an iPhone 16. I much prefer to take pictures with a camera, but I rarely see much of a difference (for my needs), If you want to stick to the fuji system and use a camera, a refurb X-S20 (from fuji) is just a couple of hundred bucks more with the better kit lense, view finder and IBIS. A couple of hundred bucks again and you're into the X-T5 which is much better again. Then .. if you really want a camera which is significantly better than a phone, I think you have to make the leap to full frame. The Canon R8 is a great option or similar in foot print to the fuji - the Sony A7CII would be my pick and I yes it's >2x the price but way more future proof.
every time theres a shot with trees compared its no contest. Phones just make trees and foliage look so crunchy and gross from the oversharpening whereas dedicated cameras still look "real"
To make a fair comparison, you should have used some third party app (like BM camera app) that allows to shoot in LOG on the iPhone. This is when the little beast unleashes its full potential. Shoot in log, grade the footage properly and make the comparison again. You'll probably be surprised. As to me, I'm more and more leaning to use iPhone 16 pro max as main video camera for my home and travel video. I have been using Panasonic GH5S (which is often called a low light king) and trust me, the iPhone is on par with it in low light when shooting on main 24mm lens. It's VERY good. The only thing you need to do is to control the ISO when shooting, not allowing it to go above 800 (this is the mark when the footage gets noisy) even at the cost of underexposing the footage. It can then be pulled of shadows thanks to 10 bit log footage then iPhone spits out.
I think it would be nice to see a more deep comparison between the cameras. It is good to watch the "out of the box" look. But as @WRXMSK says, to see the potencial of both cameras, and see how really close they are expanding their possibilities
I have both cameras featured here. I make narrative shorts. Ask yourself which will get you into a rig to make movies the iphone or the Fuji? Creatively, the compact DSLR wins hands down.
I'm clearly NOT a pro photographer, but I have to say that in many of the comparisons, I think the iPhone provides the more pleasing image. Definitely NOT during low light situations, or any distant/zoom applications where we may have a good telephoto lens on the XT, but frankly, for everyday snaps and travel, it's tough to beat the access and instant quality of the iPhone. I agree, the tactile feel is non existent, and in a REAL Pro's hands, the XT would likely be signficantly better, but to my old, uneducated, non professional, ignorant, eyes - the iPhone is the winner here because it is ALWAYS with you and takes remarkable pictures of brightly lit scenes, landscapes, travel, even street stuff (IMO). I will now hide behind the next BestBuy counter while people rain down insults upon my old head LOL!
Please explain what shallow and generic mean. The script is my own ideas. AI would produce false info. With that said I did use Grammarly to help me say things better.
You film with black magic app in iphone or the default camera? I heard the black magic upgrade a lot the image quality of the iphone 16 pro and pro max
Coming from a Sony system, these Fuji camera control settings and menu systems got me to cussing a couple of times, but once I set the things I need for easy access, it’s all about the film simulation and recipe baby 😄
It just depends what you are used to. I’ve been shooting Fuji for 6 years. My cousin got an A6400 and I wanted to throw it out the window because I couldn’t figure out how to do basic shit like change the aperature or ISO. It also feels so cheap and plastic.
There’s literally a dedicated ISO button on the command dial for almost all Sony cameras. Perhaps my experience might be different if it was for the higher end Fuji cameras where more physical controls are offered.
Nah mate theres a label that says ISO. From higher end Fuji cameras it’s one of those top dials so I understand what you mean. I figured out my x-m5 so I’m happy with it now so long as I don’t need to change another settings 😄
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think someone who can buy a cellphone like the iphone 16 pro would never think to buy a fuji xm5 or a sony Zve10 II or Canon or Nikon aps-c, as an alternative to these cellphones, just because it is its competitions. So there are competitor. What it means, they are exactly both in the same level, even is not essencially true but for what we've seen in these videos comparation that exactly what is ending installed in our minds. But sometimes some reviewers may downgrade the greater capacity of those camera by hiding them while them trying to show parallelly the greater capacity possible of these cellphones unconsciously. But, who can buy a cellphone for around $1000 USD, would normally go for full frame camera (a real biggest sensor), like the Canon Eos R8 for about $1100 to $1400, or for the Panasonic S9 or S5 II. What would we buy something that is nearly the same as what we already have? If there's to much difference anymore between the quality of Aps-C camera and a smartphone, or if we present them like that, so people would just go the difference, for a small full frame camera and not aps-c anymore. Maybe I'm wrong, but if the difference is so tiny so little, like how we do in math (by rounding results), so there are both iguals (just with some insignificant diferences).
The pictures on the iPhone side tend to look better for me, it's also clearer at 4k. That being said the kit lens that come with the X-M5 sucks, the Sigma 30mm 1.4 Contemporary is a much better lens for everyday use and those can be had for $250ish new or $100-$125 used.
iPhone genuinely has less detail at 4k it’s just the sharpening cranked up to 11. Zoom into the 4k image at 100 percent scaling, add some minor sharpening in post to the Fuji, it’ll look better. It’s the same resolution on a sensor with bigger pixels and better quality glad.
The electronic stabilization on the Fujifilm XM5 looks really bad. It's likely best to only use stabilized lenses if you can. That's what i did on my Nikon Z30. But not all lenses have Vibration Reduction in them.
I have both the xm-5 and the iPhone 16 pro I can tell you if you shoot log using black magic cam its very similar but you can't do 6k, film simulations, or make some bokeh.
Based on this video the Xm5 is better…. but that is compairing manual controls to automatic controls, buy an nd filter, and use blackmagic camera with manual settings the same as on the fugi then post a comparison.
The blackmagic app isn't going to suddenly make the iPhone better than it is, the issue with the apple devices is your lack of inherent control to begin with, a locked out app isn't adding more functionality
Iphone 16 pros: better image stabilization, portability, (arguably) better colors and dynamic range out of the box (due to computational HDR - justlook at the sunset!), better flare resistance (when the sun is out of the frame), higher video frame rate, lower price with an equivalent set of 4 lenses (ultra wide, wide, 2x standar, 5x and 10x optical telephoto), better autofocus, ease of use / zero learning curve, instant connectivity. Iphone not cons: battery life can be boosted with a power bank. iphone real cons: oversharpening, overconstrast and oversaturation, a distinctly "digital" look, high depth of field without natural background blur, artificial digital bokeh. Conclusion: iphone 16 is a convincingly better proposition for the vast majority of users, except for photo and video enthusiasts and professionals! Mirroless camera (not x-m5) pros: vast selection of lenses for very specific purposes and desirable optical effects, specifically: portrait lenses with beautiful, natural bokeh, very long telephoto lenses enabling wild life and sports photography, optical zoom without loss of resolution, fish-eye lenses, optical filters; fine control over colors, saturation, sharpening in camera and in post processing; better low light performance; EVF !!! (not on x-m5) enabling precise focusing and depth of field control even in the glare of daylight (LCD screen may not be clearly visible in bright sunlight); fast start / instant readiness to shoot with the ability to preselect the shooting settings (focal length, photo/video, exposure settings, color profile etc.), hands on experience with controls. Mirrorless camera cons: computational photography (HDR) is not nearly as powerful as in smartphones, relatively steep learning curve, poor portability and high costs especially with a full set of lenses for all focal lengths, bulky and extremely expensive telephoto lenses, poor image stabilization and autofocusing (specifically on many Fuji cameras). Conclusion: the vast majority of people can totally do fine without a mirrorless camera for general shooting, street and travel photography. Mirrorless camera only offers advantages in specific scenarios - portrait photography, wildlife and sports photography, perhaps nighttime and astrophotography (but not necessarily).

The way you compares the fujifilm makes no sense. If people gonna buy a camera for professional video then they would go for Sony FX3 or A7iv at least. People buy fujifilm camera for the film simulation, the jpeg that comes straight out of the camera without having to edit. Anything else is 2nd.
It handles heat in a great manner Its perfect for gimbal operation and weddings specially using flog2 at iso 3200 with a VND It might overheat faster when connecting an HDMI monitor plus charging the device with a power bank or dummy battery while operating, A cheap solution is to get a ulanzi universal fan V2 or a ulanzi camera fan cou1 accessories, now I can do all day conference recordings without having to power down the camera
In iphone you cant control depth of view and focal length. So for amateurs iphone is enough. Photo and video is all about framing means focal length, aperture, shutter and depth of view. Iphone cant provide real depth of view control, real aperture control. Iphone corrects everything automaticly. But photo video is not bitrate low light performance etc...
absolutely...nothing to debate...nothing can beat the image coming from dslr, mirror less or any other digital camera...smartphone camera sucks, the image processing is unatural

I am really interested in street and landscape photography with very little video use. Just not sure if the size XM-5 is better for me than a more expensive R8 eco system
Neither the XM-5 or the R8 has IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization). I just bought the Canon R7 because it has IBIS. This is important if you want to walk around and take street photos without a tripod. The canon R8 is full frame whereas the Canon R7 is an APSC crop sensor camera like the Fuji XM-5. Having watched dozens of reviews, I think the Canon R7 with IBIS is a better choice than the R8. The Canon R8 and Canon R7 are almost the same size. The Fuji XM-5 is much smaller. If the XM-5 had IBIS I would have bought it. The R7 has superior auto focus and IBIS, but the XM-5 is smaller and has those film simulations which are fabulous. So do you want a smaller camera with great film simulations or a camera with better autofocus and with IBIS?

With the Fuji you can dial a film simulation and shoot with great quality SOOC.
With the phone you need to record in log or raw to edit in post to get good enough quality. In normal video the oversharpening is atrocious, the vibrance and dehaze are to the top. Maybe a third party app can deliver good video SOOP
That is a really good point. You can upload looks/luts to the iPhone 16 Pro through the black magic camera app. Have you tried it?
Thanks for the video! To my eyes on my 6-year-old iPad, differences in the intro images looked too subtle that I would probably settle for my iPhone for uploading to social media (I’m an ex-camera enthusiast who still shoots with 7D Mark II and equally old Sigma lenses). I do like Fuji’s retro body designs though…
2:20 THANK YOU SO MUCH, best way to see if the XM5 is worth it for me or not. Just for that I'll subscribe
Thanks please let me know which one you ended up picking up
@@thefilmalliance I have already an iPhone 15 pro max, so it's more about if I want the XM5 as my b cam along my XH2 ;).
Totally agree - great points, thanks for the comment and insight.
Yes, easily! I love this camera. It is a gem at this price point. Cheers!
Totally agree, thanks
Great Video! All i wanted to know!
I'm glad it was helpful!
Great Video!!
The camera just got released buddy
This was a very valuable video. thank you.
You're very welcome, so which one did you end up liking more the Fuji X-M5 or iPhone 16 Pro ?
@@thefilmalliance Fuji X-M5 for sure, I'm always of the opinion that software processing cant supersede the authenticity of physics. to me, a Larger sensor means more light and bigger pixels. which means better Image quality overall. so yeah, phones are great, but cameras are cameras. lol. I've got the Sony a6700 which i love very much, hoping to get the X-M5 as a second cam. My iPhone 15 Pro does decent in some occasions but I am not fully satisfied with even using it to take photos of thumbnails, maybe I'm just terrible at lighting or editing iPhone Photos. Thanks again for your in-depth analysis each time.
You should also do a comparison with Android phones using third party apps like Motion Cam Pro and MCPro24fps! I am blown away with what a phone camera can achieve using direct log or raw capture using these apps. I use it with my Xiaomi 14 Ultra and I have since sold all my camera gears. I think it really comes down to the best camera is the one that you always have with you and phone camera is getting better and better 😅
That’s a great idea for a video, thank you
Thanks for the comment
you compared the xm5 with the sony zvE10 ii, thanks for that!! would also love to see another comparison between the xm5 and pocket 3
Nice video ! About the price, the X-M5 is 900€ in Europe, at least in France. 665€ was maybe during the pre-order phase ?
Edit: 900€ body alone, 1000€ with the kit lense
That one review i was looking for
I’m glad you found it, thanks
I find the iPhone produces warmer picture and maybe greenish tones in the mid-tones.
I much prefer to take pictures with a camera, but I rarely see much of a difference (for my needs),
If you want to stick to the fuji system and use a camera, a refurb X-S20 (from fuji) is just a couple of hundred bucks more with the better kit lense, view finder and IBIS.
Very helpful, thank you
Glad it was helpful, thanks
every time theres a shot with trees compared its no contest. Phones just make trees and foliage look so crunchy and gross from the oversharpening whereas dedicated cameras still look "real"
That's a good analysis. I have to agree with you. And water in low light
Thanks for your content! ❤ Could you tell if we can use Tamron 17-70 with Fuji x-m5?
Thanks, Does the 17-70 have an x-mount? I can't remember. If so then yes!
Do you recommend me to buy iphone 16 pro or A camera and which 📸 I should buy.for making shorts videos on RUclips
Okay, I’ll implement the Black Magic Camera App next time. Why will you be going with the Max over the iPhone 16 Pro ?
@@thefilmalliance Mostly because of longer battery life and 5x zoom camera
They have the same zooms now i believe
I think it would be nice to see a more deep comparison between the cameras. It is good to watch the "out of the box" look. But as @WRXMSK says, to see the potencial of both cameras, and see how really close they are expanding their possibilities
What is the name of the song that is included in the intro. Thank you
Uff the colors on Fuji is wow! I hate the lens flares on I phone. quite bad actually.
Great video! Can you also campare fuji xm5 with s20 pls. Would be great help to decide which one to purchase.
That's a great idea for a video, I’ll try but no promises
I have both cameras featured here. I make narrative shorts. Ask yourself which will get you into a rig to make movies the iphone or the Fuji? Creatively, the compact DSLR wins hands down.
XM5 vs A6400/6700 please!
I will now hide behind the next BestBuy counter while people rain down insults upon my old head LOL!
why do i get the feeling that the script is 90% AI generated. Like no hate or smth but the the arguments seem a bit...shallow and generic.
Please explain what shallow and generic mean. The script is my own ideas. AI would produce false info. With that said I did use Grammarly to help me say things better.
Who gives u more sharp photos?
In my experience, the Fujifilm can produce a more beautiful and natural image even in 1080p resolution than the iPhone in 4K.
@SimonBalázsOláh do you have ?
I bought the Fuji XM5 for $1060, not $799, and it sold out on the entire platform.
Oh wow, what platform?
You film with black magic app in iphone or the default camera? I heard the black magic upgrade a lot the image quality of the iphone 16 pro and pro max
Panasonic S9 is a compact full frame camera does a great job in every fromt
Coming from a Sony system, these Fuji camera control settings and menu systems got me to cussing a couple of times, but once I set the things I need for easy access, it’s all about the film simulation and recipe baby 😄
Thanks for sharing yes, the camera NEEDS customization. Great point
@ maybe you have to program it? Idk. It was inferiating to use. But again it just depends what you are used to.
Thank for this ❤
Glad you enjoyed it, which one did you end up liking more? The Fuji X-M5 or iPhone 16 Pro ?
@ fuji xm5
What an interesting comparison !
So which one did you like better?
@ Of course xm5 is better but I always take iPhone with me 😀
Nice, me too. The iPhone 16 Pro is a great memory catcher
The electronic stabilization on the Fujifilm XM5 looks really bad. It's likely best to only use stabilized lenses if you can. That's what i did on my Nikon Z30. But not all lenses have Vibration Reduction in them.
could you a compare tomato vs a door handle please? Idk which one is better...
Please explain what you mean
I have both the xm-5 and the iPhone 16 pro I can tell you if you shoot log using black magic cam its very similar but you can't do 6k, film simulations, or make some bokeh.
Everthing can iPhone to
Yes!
Thanks, did you pickup the Fuji X-M5
@thefilmalliance yes
Based on this video the Xm5 is better…. but that is compairing manual controls to automatic controls, buy an nd filter, and use blackmagic camera with manual settings the same as on the fugi then post a comparison.
Will you make a video on that? I would love to watch it
The blackmagic app isn't going to suddenly make the iPhone better than it is, the issue with the apple devices is your lack of inherent control to begin with, a locked out app isn't adding more functionality
16 pro for me
That works
wow ahora en españo? genial, ya seguía el contenido en inglés

Thank you
You're welcome, Please tell which camera you ended up going with? Fuji X-M5 or iPhone 16 Pro ?
@@thefilmalliance I wont be buying anything any time soon, no cash :D but I love my fuji x pro 2 - and I have nice lenses, so I will be loyal to fuji, I think.

Thanks Mark, your welcome
The way you compares the fujifilm makes no sense. If people gonna buy a camera for professional video then they would go for Sony FX3 or A7iv at least. People buy fujifilm camera for the film simulation, the jpeg that comes straight out of the camera without having to edit. Anything else is 2nd.
sounds like a Fuji X-M5 commercial
can you compare i phone with vivo x200 pro and x200 pro with the other cameras
That’s a good idea but first I need to get my hands on them. Do you own either?
Did you notice any overheating issues with the xm5 ?
Yes, in 4K 60 but it didn’t shutoff. I just got the overheating warning sign
It handles heat in a great manner
Its perfect for gimbal operation and weddings specially using flog2 at iso 3200 with a VND
It might overheat faster when connecting an HDMI monitor plus charging the device with a power bank or dummy battery while operating,
A cheap solution is to get a ulanzi universal fan V2 or a ulanzi camera fan cou1 accessories, now I can do all day conference recordings without having to power down the camera
In iphone you cant control depth of view and focal length.
So for amateurs iphone is enough.
Photo and video is all about framing means focal length, aperture, shutter and depth of view.
Iphone cant provide real depth of view control, real aperture control.
Iphone corrects everything automaticly.
But photo video is not bitrate low light performance etc...
how is the battery life of xm-5?
Not bad but not great, about 1 hour or so filming and photography
I wonder if a measly phone can beat Fujifilms video autofocus lol. Edvard should test that.
That is a very good suggestion. Edvard noted
absolutely...nothing to debate...nothing can beat the image coming from dslr, mirror less or any other digital camera...smartphone camera sucks, the image processing is unatural
Any modern Fuji Camera much better than the IPhone
Even with all the photography computation in the iPhone 16 Pro ?
For phone calls iPhone is far better. 😎
Yes it is and listening to podcasts
Cool comparison but I had to tell teenagers that an average consumer will record or take photos and put a silly filter on it for social media where it get's compressed into oblivion.
Haha you’re right Rick. Those filters ruin the image quality
Viltrox 23/33/56 f1.4 are the worst AF lenses in the market. Lack of contrast, affecting also resolution, and chromatic aberration at its highest.

This kind of title and clickbait is absolutely disgusting and so old fashioned mate. The iPhone camera ia absolutely terrible. From the minimal focus distance to the ugly processing with hdr, there is not even a small detail which could stand a comparison with a dslm camera.
How you not kno A was the camera at the beginning sheesh
Problem is - the iPhone isn't the best camera phone.

If you’re ok with manual workflow on a phone takes a look at James Matthews videos on the Xperia phones. Actually insane work. His Xperia Mk IV video genuinely looks like a real camera. There were shots that I could’ve swore was shot on an apsc camera with like a 50mm equivalent lens. The X-M5 is a great travel camera, have you tried it in a store? That might be a good starting point
@thefilmalliance No unfortunately I live outside of the States right now and have no camera stores near me but I will pick up a camera when i go back to the US for vacation in a month or two. I am really interested in street and landscape photography with very little video use. Just not sure if the size XM-5 is better for me than a more expensive R8 eco system
Id say the Fuji X-M5 would be a good fit for you for what you need
@@thefilmalliance awesome thanks 👍🏻
So do you want a smaller camera with great film simulations or a camera with better autofocus and with IBIS?
iphone 16 pro is not even the best camera on a phone out there.
damn how much flare in the iphone! not even my $100 phone does such bad things!
Also, let's not forget the DR200/400% function of Fujifilm which is a plus even compared to other cameras. Obviously it is correct not to use it in comparison with other products.

@@thefilmalliance No, I have another Fujifilm camera, the X-T200, old but still does its job. Those who use a lot of jpg files even at a professional level (especially reporters or those who by profession do not have time for post-production) really appreciate this feature.
