Have you tried filling the balloons with water first? It's easier to remove the balloons as you can just slowly drain the water out and the ballon becomes smaller so you can just pull it out. Also, you can use a bit of water to get rid off the frosting inside the globe so they are clearer and you can see the objects inside. Slowly rotate a small amount of water inside the balloon and then just make sure to drain all the water out.
That looks so good!! The texture of the gelatin makes it even more cozy as a snow globe 😊 I agree that I wouldn’t want to eat the globe, but it’s super cool that you *can*!
You probably could but I’m not sure even with flavoring you’d want to eat them but you can try it! I just store them covered at room temp in a dry space.
@@florido5491 I wouldn't place the domes on cupcakes or anything too far in advance. I haven't tried but my guess is that moisture from the frosting will start to cause the part touching to get a bit soft. I also wouldn't store them in the fridge because there could be moisture in there that could also affect the domes. Just store them at room temp and keep them dry until use! Hope this helps! :)
As far as I know, without being exposed to moisture, they should last forever in theory! They can be stored in the fridge, but just be careful there isn't moisture or they will soften. They don't need to be stored in the fridge though, room temp is fine!
Nope! Once the gelatin hardens it peels off fairly easy. If you put something on the balloon first I imagine the gelatin won't stick enough to even create a thin coating. :)
Yes you can totally dip the balloons in chocolate instead of gelatin! Make sure it is tempered and you can just pop the balloons in the fridge to set up quick and then pop the balloon and peel off just the same :)
I tried several times letting the temp of the sugar drop with each attempt. it kept melting through the plastic wrap. The one time it did not, it was too cool to move around.
I usually buy gelatine in boxes without separate packages, so how many grams do your separate paper bags contain, or,, what is the total in grams used please?
@BrittneeKay Well I can say you made that loom easy... I just finished double dipping my globes and I have gelatin everywhere lol. I hope mine turn out as good ty for the tips🥰🤞
@BrittneeKay Thank you I've made the globes tomorrow the cupcakes and assembly.Ive learned some things with these so next time will be better, but not bad for my 1st time. Your video was a huge help 😊🫶
No they won’t melt! Don’t refrigerate them, keep them in a dry place and I would put them on the cupcakes same day as you plan to serve them or they can get a bit soft from the moisture in the frosting
It won't set up right I don't think because Jello also will have sugar and maybe other ingredients in it. These set up hard because they're pure gelatin. You could add some extract to the water though and see if that adds a bit of flavor. For me these are just for decoration, I wouldn't really want to eat the globe part. :)
Anywhere really! I think I linked some from Amazon. The key is to get the small water balloons. Then after you blow them up, tie them really tight without extra space, and pinch them to move the air to that annoying tip that has the nipple. I always reshape them a bit like that to make sure they’re round before dipping!
Looks great!!, have you tried with caramel? I saw on TV show how made edible bubbles with caramel, looks faster, but I think managing caramel could be more difficult. Whatever, I enjoyed this video, thanks!!
Yes for sure the sugar spheres taste better and can look better, but these are easier to make for beginners. There are multiple great techniques you can use depending on what you're looking for! Always good to have options :)

They aren't. I really want to try this technique but it's already been banned in Denmark because they did a spot check after a video went viral with this idea and found like 95% of latex balloons had illegal chemicals on the outside from the manufacturing process, and both heat and food exposure created further risks of contamination. A food safe latex glove might be an option though.

Wow! Fabulous video! Just a quick question though. How much gelatin would that be for a cup of water in grams?
Thank you! If my conversion is correct, 2 oz of gelatin is about 56.7 g to 1 cup of water. :)
Hi, did you put anything on the balloons before the gelatin to prevent the balloon from sticking? Thanks
Nope! Once the gelatin hardens it peels off fairly easy. If you put something on the balloon first I imagine the gelatin won't stick enough to even create a thin coating. :)
Is there a video on how to make modeling chocolate or is it something you have to buy?
Literally as I ask, you answered in the video 😂😂
hehe yes!
Do you dip balloons in chocolate too (like for the questioner’s hot air balloon)?
Yes you can totally dip the balloons in chocolate instead of gelatin! Make sure it is tempered and you can just pop the balloons in the fridge to set up quick and then pop the balloon and peel off just the same :)
Could you put pam or other non-flavored cooking oii on the balloons so they don't stick to said ballons?
I don't think so because then the liquid gelatin wouldn't stick in the first place to create the coating. Just a guess but you can always try it! :)
Thank you so much
You're welcome!
Great job. Can you please measure the amounts of gelatin, how many grams per cup of water?
Thank you! Sorry I am not in a place right now to pull up the recipe and convert it, just do a little Google conversion and you should be good ☺️
I tried several times letting the temp of the sugar drop with each attempt. it kept melting through the plastic wrap. The one time it did not, it was too cool to move around.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean?
these are not sugar domes. But for those get heat resistant food grade film.
Any tips on how to do this without balloon?

Hello. How much gelatine in grams please. Thank you
Google says 2 oz = 56.7 g 😉😉
How long do they last?
I can't say for sure but...a really long time! As long as they are kept away from moisture you can store them for months!
If u cover the balloon with oil first it won’t stick so much.
The problem is you need it to stick or else it won’t create a coat!
What can I use to attach the gelatin balls to each other?
If you want it to be somewhat clear just use a tiny bit of corn syrup, that should work decent. What are you gluing them together for?
