This is my favorite lens. It's practically glued to my K-3II. I imagine that it would perform much better on the K-3III. That's for a later date.
Now if Ricoh could only speed up the DA* 50-135mm f/2.8 PLM replacement............

Why didn't you show video recording with the new plm to see how it works?

Interesting if we will see FF equivalent of this lens in this century

The sad part is, that it has no scale indicator for manual focusing. So in night, good luck setting it at least to infinity.

I shot Pentax professionally for over 30 years but recently switched to Sony for all my client work. While I love the brand and will continue to use Pentax FF for landscape and some studio work, they are just so far behind in autofocus technology that I can no longer in good conscience use them on lifestyle shoots. I get virtually 100% in-focus shots with Sony, and I have stopped even wondering about it. And I don't mean "acceptable focus," because for clients that isn't good enough, I mean perfect focus. Pentax will always excel in terms of build quality, ergonomics, weather sealing, and OMG those optical viewfinders (!), but as a professional tool, in all but the most controlled circumstances my beloved brand simply can't compete.

I am not really sure if Pentax is aspiring anymore to be professional camera manufacturer. Going by their DSLR alongside MILC videos they see themselves as 'art' brand for pros who want something more natural for after work photos and amateurs.

Once you go to pupil eye detection and tracking, it's tough to go back.

I agree. I'd probably do the same if I were doing paid shoots.
But yeah! It's very expensive for me to switch & I'm cool with the gear I have at the moment. I definitely won't be changing gear anytime soon. I'm basically sticking with APS-C Pentax until at least 2030, provided Ricoh still makes APS-C gear by then.
