For the one speaking Spanish ..I don't understand why the guy excused himself because he had to speak Spanish because her mother would not understand him.. He doesnt need to provide any excuse.. he can simply say "I speak whatever language I want as I am not talking to you" .. that's it!

The Chinese government needs to educate their populace about how to behave while traveling. I have lost track of how many times I have seen Chinese tourists acting like idiots. Many of them don't follow basic protocol, they rush lines, cut in lines, force their way through the aisle while deplaning, etc. This is well know among tourists that travel Asia a lot.

Yeah, a year ago I was with my family, 8 of us, waiting in line to get into the Liberty Bell in Philly, PA and there was a group of Chinese tourists, around 20, behind us. One of the ladies in the group shoved past my family and the family in front of us then turned around like she expected the group to follow her. When no one did, she made her way back through the line and stayed with her group. I've been to New York City and New Orleans, seen out-of-the-country tourists, and none of them, regardless of nationality, acted like that! Everyone in my family was not only confused by her behavior but also slightly disgusted at the fact that she didn't seem to possess what I thought was a common human courtesy about lines.

There are a few countries that speak Mandarin as their main language. I took a bet that they were Chinese, considering that's where the largest portion of people who speak that language comes from but you make a good point! However, you rarely hear about Tibet, Singapore, Malaysia, or Taiwan tourists being unruly, unfortunately, Chinese tourists seem to bear the burden of not being good tourists. I don't know what it is, I just know that from my experience, the lady seemed like she didn't care about all the people in front of her and started to push her way past us, it was very rude.

However, there are other countries, as I've stated before, that speak Mandarin as their official language as well, so it could have been someone from one of those places.
