How Hard is Tendo EX-HARD Boss Fight? [Yakuza 7]

- Tendo's Ex-Hard boss fight was a breeze(take into account that I did some grinding)
I think he's set to be weaker than Kiryu/Majima Ex-Hard boss for power balance
What did you think of this semi-final boss?

10:20 *Kiryu, Akiyama, and Ed sneezes
Uh as expected even with capped levels is still challenging, nice to know his elec weakness and not guaranteed oneshot move too. Nice fight overall, but those summons sure cost a lot ouch!
In EX Hard you can actually make an insane amount of cash quick in the arena - one of the side stories (well two) involve a little girl trying to raise money. After you clear those side stories she unlocks as a cheap summon to use. Not a powerful summon but she pulls money out of enemies. Use this on arena fight 30 and you'll instantly get 10+mil yen. Which is way quicker than doing Eri's business side content. Replay the arena a couple of times (you'll want to either way if your preparing to fight some of the later fights) and you'll be 80s Kiryu level rich in no time!
Yeah, that’s a very efficient and quick way to earn money!
@@ianbaggins5063 holy shit what a fucking legend you are.
@@ianbaggins5063 literal legend
@@ianbaggins5063 This comment is 2 years old , wow, that is actually a lot faster, I am gonna do this man, glad I found this comment
So Majima deals Blade damage as well as electric, it adds the two together, so you can end up hitting a weakness and a resostance to get less resisted
He cannot oneshot your party members as long as you breakthrough his guard after his warnings. (like Ichiban adviced).
6:02 He can, actually, do 2 turns hitting same character.
6:42 As you see he used 2 turns. One to enter his "charging stance", second-instakill.
Yeah, thanks for the advice! I actually died once because he hit Ichiban twice
Now, I know when Tendo used the Insta-kill attack. If he lifted up his right hand, it will be the insta-kill attack. If he lifted up his left hand, it will be a hard attack with 100% crit chance. And if he lifted up both hands, he will attack 5 times, the first 4 times deals normal dame, and the last hit deals a massive dame
Oh, that's how it works! Thanks man
@@gamememories3349 actually, your "Final Legit Boss" video explain everything :))))
@@congpham2095 Lol, I was focused on his insta kill attack, so I didn't realize that
@@gamememories3349 Well. it's not your fault. Instal-kill attack always be the most dangerous attack, and if it hits Ichiban, the game is over, so focusing only on insta-kill attack is normal. By the way, thanks to you, I finally understand the plot of Yakuza 7. Thank you so much. Well, only my sugesstion, will you make a full gameplay without cutting and have all fights ? All in 1 video ? If you do that, wow, you are incredible !!!!
@@congpham2095 I tried to do it once, but it wasn't possible to do in my PC. Though, thanks for the idea! I'll keep that idea in mind for later
Huh.....I didn't realize lightning was his weakness....Shocking.
Yeah, I couldn't imagine his weakness before I tried electric type attacks
Electrifying
Red Deku Vs buff Wario
Kiryu: All Might
Wow, a truthly tanky monster !!!!! Even you are 39 level outrank him, Tendo is still the beast !!! 3 instal-kill with 1 successd, 1 miss and 1 blocked by Ichiban. I wander if you are the same level with him, how hard can it be ? Good video, bro.
Low level challenge in Ex-Hard seems to be impossible in this game, though I wanna see someone pull it off. By the way, Ichiban died once but got revived instantly because I used a skill that revives Ichiban from dying once
This kind of feels like a Pokémon game don’t ya think?
There are different types of moves with different elements
Yeah, the devs brought a lot of ideas from other JRPG games. They even have Dragon Quest and Persona
i cant kill this boss. tried like 7 times. at some point he will just one shot my main guy and game over. there doesn't seem to be anyway to stop it.
Same here! Level 51 ichiban, defense upgrade with 3 bars, and guard mode. Guy still one shots you.
Youre supposed to use Ichibans peerless resolve that guarantees no instant kill. Adachi has one too. Also perfect guarding at the right moment cancels instant kill
Ichibans Peerless resolve move stops one shots and you can get items that stop one shot kills in the dungeons aswell this fight is definetly more evasion and guarding
@@MrMartindunne1 like kuromacho dungeons because I’m searching there rn
2:27 I guess if you also will buff strength to Ichi, then he will reach 4'000, good luck ^_~
BTW! I wanted to ask something! How many enemies/bosses having Insta-kill move? I would like to know about those.
I'm not sure but I think there're various insta-kill enemies in this game so you should be prepared for that
@@gamememories3349 I'll keep that in mind, thanks)))
One type enemy in this game have instant kill special but it's 50/50. Also Amon has one as well.
Tendo like Nintendo
Wait... what type is Majima's summon?
And Kiryu's, while we're at it.
I think it's cut type move, since Majima uses blade. And Kiryu's move is bare hand type
@@gamememories3349 Majima's summon is an electric attack, it's effective onIshioda, Kulala, Sawashiro and others I can't remember.
@@canadmexi Really? Tendo's also weak to electric attacks but Majima's attack didn't do much..

The yellow means that Sawashiro suffered from paralysis.
@@canadmexi Oh, I see~
Okay so my question is. Is this the real tendo or mirror face I was confused during the explanation
@Dojima No Ryu4 thank you for explaining that I was mad confused the way they explained it because he was talking about how aoki was trying to just use him then ichiban said mirror face is a great name so I got super confused thank you for explaining
Which is the hardest mode (I'll assume you all know what games they're from) Ex-Hard, Merciless or All Enemies Are Super Strong?
this looks somewhat easier than previous playthrough in normal (since i believe most of LPers take more than 30 minutes to defeat him)
but i agreed that his damage does still hurt like hell.
Depends on the person. Even on my first run through Tendo never took me remotely close to 30 minutes to beat. As long as you spec correctly to the fight you'll take him out relatively quick. But as a whole bosses don't feel as tanky in EX Hard, maybe its my current level or the fact I have decent powerful attacks but pound for pound, boss fights end quicker. Though thanks to their high damage output, they always keep me on my toes! Even the actual final boss fight now poses a threat.
Yeah, it felt easier with the grinding in Ex-Hard, but the damage I get from him made the whole fight more exciting
I agree! This game should be played on Ex-Hard, though I didn’t enjoy the grinding
Look, even when you already lvl 99, we still need an effort to beat him, and i guess the same goes to Kiryu and Majima. I mean, i would like to see we battle them in ex-hard *with* the exact same level, that would be interesting
There's the job level too. So it'd be awesome to see a guy pull out a low level challenge with character level and job level
@@gamememories3349 I did beat Tendo Ex Hard around Ranks Lv. late 50s. I think lower levels than that would've been possible too but Ichiban may be a bit too fragile, make it harder to survive a semi-long fight.
@@Ramencafe Wow, it would've been better if I can watch your battle. I was stuck on the part where the crane boss appears after escaping the warehouse, so I had to grind
@@gamememories3349 I had that crane boss video up same with Tendo fight. Sadly, my Yakuza videos barely got any viewers lol. Idk why.
I found that boss to be absolute bullshit too.. After 10+ tries I figured out the drinks that boost defense+3, that way Ichiban can stay alive but other than that, the crane's earthquake attack would 1 hit kill everyone almost every single time.
@@Ramencafe I checked you vid! It was really fun and helpful. The point was to keep Ichiban and Adachi alive!
Looks painful.
Yeah, spouting bloods all over..
Kendo might have the best theme

I don't like the final fantasy pokemon fighting style I thought it was based off street fighter and grandtheftauto
Nope. Yakuza was never like GTA or Street Fighter. The closest comparison is actually Shenmue.
Having a boss with a one-hit kill attack he can use multiple times in a single round is serious bullshit in a game where Party Leader Death is Game Over. This is one of the worst JRPG bosses I've ever come across.
Its almost like the leader has skills to avoid instant death that you can use when he's charging up.
Literally just read
