As a Dutch person I should probably set the record straight by saying that advocaat is not meant to drunk but rather eaten as a kind of condiment for on top of desserts. What they did here would be the same as trying the chug some Ketchup/tomato sauce
it's a shame how many people misunderstand advocaat and thus think it's a weird disgusting drink when it's just a really great addition to nice deserts DX
What no, it's eaten with a spoon sometimes with a bit of whipping cream, as far as I know it's mostly eaten by elderly folks. It's can be used as a 'condiment' but it's really not rare to eat it straight. Also it's fucking gross.
Advocaat is also rly hit or miss. Sometimes it tastes insanely eggy and it just doesn't sit well. But when the advocaat taste good it rly do be good. I think they would have loved vanilla ice with advocaat Also... You can drink it, but just like pudding, you are better of eating it with a spoon
Horses are immensely difficult to draw let alone animate, but Connor has probably seen so many because a horse was the subject of early animation as an example of sequential images creating movement.
Just to clarify, the shaped Gingerbread isn´t meant to be eaten it is just decoration so it is baked until quite dry. Gingerbread( Lebkuchen) for eating is usually round and either covered by a sugar mixture, chocolate or just plain

Try out some Dominosteine next time if you have the opportunity. And maybe a softer Stollen too, because that's what their regular texture should be from my experience. But of course, everything is just a matter of subjective and individual taste. Cheers everyone! :3

Yo guys, there was a big confusion for me and probably a lot of other Germans watching this, with the gingerbread. I have looked into it for a while and understand it now, so let me quickly explain the confusion before clearing it up. So, I was confused when you ate the gingerbread man and described it's taste, first I thought it just was a shit representation but later you ate gingerbread hearts and they looked like the gingerbread I know and you described the correct taste this time, but both were obviously quite different. First, I looked up the translation to see if that was the fault, but gingerbread actually translates to several things in German, most important for our case "Lebkuchen" and "Pfefferkuchen". So, I learned the gingerbread man you ate was a "Pfefferkuchen", the hearts were "Lebkuchen" and what I usually would call gingerbread. So I looked it up, Pfefferkuchen (directly translates to pepper cake) was a Saxon original dish which apparently was exclusively produced in Pulsnitz, a city which got a medieval right of exclusive production (obviously doesn't count anymore today) and the Pfeffer (pepper) in the name just comes from the fact that in medieval times Pfeffer referred to any foreign spice, so there is no actual pepper in it (which you guys probably tasted^^). The Lebkuchen heart you ate afterwards is as I said what I would usually understand as gingerbread but is basically just a regionally different dish which gained popularity and distribution after the Second World War, it's name is derived from latin and basically translates to "cake cake", so the moon moon of sweets. The only official material difference is that Pfefferkuchen is exclusively made without fat/grease, which is what you usually would ad to Lebkuchen, which also explains the taste difference of both. Hope you guys read this and weren't bored. Hope some other Germans had the same confusion watching this and are now a little wiser^^. Happy holidays.
The scrungly tree with the Danny Devito topper is mine! Thank you so much boys! This made my year! Also, just so you know, we don't just have a wii, we have 3 Wiis and a WiiU
As a German I have to say a ginger bread man ain't that traditional. Gingerbread itself, yes, but the way they described it shouldn't be how it's supposed to be. Even then, there are way better savory and sweet Christmas foods and snacks. Also Stollen isn't supposed to be dry nor cut this thick...at least Joey knew his Stollen. The cookies were just cheap soft gingerbread hearts. Should've let Connor eat some Reibekuchen, or have some Dampfnudel, I could name so many good things. Habe been to Japan recently and they love Baumkuchen, as well, should've gotten some of that, too.
Gingerbread men are American. We don't have them in Germany XD We do build little gingergread witch houses (Lebkuchenhaus) based on the fairytale of Hänsel & Gretel in the Christmas season, but hardly anyone eats them. We do have Lebkuchen, which technically translates to gingerbread, but is very different from American gingerbread. German Lebkuchen is round, not dry at all and covered either with sugar or chocolate glazing. Stollen would be a typical German christmas cake (personally, I don't like it). Other typical cookies would be Zimtsterne (cinnamon stars) or Vanille Kipferl (vanilla crescents). On 24th Dec - when Gremans have their main Christmas day - most people have something simple like potato salad and viennese sausages, cause usually moms are too stressed out that day to bother with a big meal, especially cause many people go to attend Christmas Mass too. On 25th you have a more elaborate meal (goose, carp, roast or something similar)
When Joey said “It looks like your tree is ready for Mardi Gras” I immediately hated that I had to think twice if this was a joke, considering in Louisiana we do have Mardi Gras trees- Christmas trees left up until Mardi Gras, decorated near exactly like Garnts or a variation of lol.
4:05:00 Artistically, I love the design on the Christmas tree. It looks either like a village built on a steep hill or a ski resort designed route down a mountain. It looks like it would be an easy and chill level on SSX

Also happy new year!
I'm hearing exclusively "mold wine", bruh. My ears can't get that native accuracy it seems.
What's that German "cookie"? Lebkuchen? That's ginger bread. I prefer Oblatenlebkuchen with sugar glaze. Also something you can get in Aldi. "Oblaten" is the same as the host you get in church, that edible cardboard.
It would have been really fun if Connor read some Christmas stories in some of his special voices. Maybe next year.
thank you for the timestamps !!!
