I’m not a farmer, but that is one roundabout way of plowing a field! Great video and hope everything only needed the attention of a track shovel and a pressure washer!
Good thing tearing up a field isn't an issue. PLAN E.. Lock up all the gear. Everybody pile into something that's NOT stuck, get a keg of suds and go fishing until the land dries out.
best stuck anything vid i have seen in quite some time. glad everything worked out in the end. i've dealt with some doozies while on harvest but nothing like this. big thumbs up ya'll
Great video, didn't look very fun though. I hope you continue to make videos and share them, I grew up on a farm and these videos on youtube bring back fond memories.
I bet someone has sayed "Damn!!" in some point there!=D I can feel your pain in situation that nothing goes as planned and don't know whether laugh or cry anymore. Keep up good work and hope that shit wont ever hit the fan as much as that week!
@theshadypilot We were going to seed spring wheat. The soil is sandy there, with clay not to far down. We didn't get any crop in this year because of the moisture. Yes the sprayer was empty, and the winch truck, we thought would pull it, but it didn't work so well! We tried many different things before we got everything out!
If you've never been in this situation it's easy to give advise or make fun; but this stuff will make you want to cry. It extremely hard on the equipment, it's expensive and it's physically and mentally hard on the men trying to resolve the problem.
Nice. For us to use this recovery tank VT-55. Pull the main winch is 100 tons max. So I took it out right away. VT.55: 40 liters V12 engine, 650kW (871.6 HP), diesel consumption from 250 to 1100 liters, the tank weight 40 tons. Pull the main winch max 100 t over 2 pulleys. Move without the pulleys is 30 tons. Rope length 490 feet and an average of 1.26 inches
Oh god this looks familiar. We buried our 4490 case with 6000 gallon manure spreader and it took 2 case dozers 1 8970 ford 1 mx 120 1 cat loader and 1 cat 345 excavator and 1 30hp long( i am sure thats what got it out). Greetings from upstate NY
@theshadypilot Thanks for the nice comments! I'm not sure about the fun, since it took 18 days to finally get it out! Lots of rain slowed the process!! But it was great nothing got hurt!
@2009deerejohn It took 18 days before we got everything out! It rained 3" the first night of the sprayer getting stuck. So it was a waiting game, then throughout the 18 days we went back with different plans and equipment between more rains!!
@theshadypilot Thank you for the nice comments! Not sure about the fun, it took 18 days to finally get it out between all the rains!! But it was fun that nothing was hurt!
great video, nice set up! but damm hell lot of machines you had to use, to get it out of there :P -great video, what software u, useing to make the video if i may ask ? :)) greetings Denmark!
Well the Deere pulled em out. But answer me this, I've worked on my grandfathers farm and have never seen a mess like this. Why would you have a sprayer and 2 trucks out in the middle of the fields in wet weather?
Roger Spence when farming one finds the keg was emptied beforehand. Farming and ranching are in my family tree as well. Part of the fun is the adventure.
The winch truck actually pulled the sprayer out if you watched the video. Sprayer was in the field, spraying. The trucks and other equipment were only there to get the sprayer unstuck.
I'm assuming it's black cotton soil? Just out if interest, what grows in a field with that sort of soil content that the mud gets so sticky? Was the contents of the sprayer emptied to bring the weight down? Oh, and why was that recovery truck there? Doesn't look like it helped much, in fact, to the contrary...
we always put smaller but wider, much wider floatation tires during the first sprays before planting!!try it ,you would be suprised how much you'd stay on top
great video, and I know what these days are like, but you just need to go home and wait until it dries out. One time we had to let our 1066 sit for a week and let the ground dry out cause we couldn't get it out no matter what we tried...
I hope everyone was loving their John deere and the operator. The man with the biggest toy wins. Very cool video.
