Just spraying fence rows the other day with it
Pretty in blue jeans. I hope you don't think the majority of us are going to understand all the computor stuff you do. I admire it, and I agree but that's because I don't know. You were born just in time for modern farming. Converting a fifty yr. old sprayer the way you did is nothing short of genius. Good video. Pax.
That’s crazy that it is 50 years old and you are still using it
Your father is fifty ? & there are no plans to replace him.👌🚜😎
We have a 6000 just got it this year really like it so far. Ours is run on an outback s3 with a raven controller
Nice! They are handy little machines
Nice to see you using this older piece of equipment probably will last a lot longer than the new ones lol great fab work on the drop hose assembly
Those sprayers look super cool and fun to have around.
They are very fun to drive once in a while!
Hi Carson, great video! You may not be an engineer, but you can be creative and succeed to get stuff done, that's what counts! Nice job on fabricating the brackets and getting the old hi-cycle sprayer ready to go to work. I just love that machine!!! Oh, love your videos too, thanks for all you do to keep us informed. Hope things go well for you and your family this season and always. Stay safe and healthy!
Thank you for always supporting me hoophil!
@@6thGenFarmer Absolutely Carson, you're the best! 👍🙂 Thanks for the nice reply!
Good job. Still useful after 50 years, pretty kool. Good music. Carolina Beach music I believe.
Thank you!
Good Girl Your a Good Boy.
I love those little sprayers
I do too!
You have GPS, a rate controller, and a 2630? That's real fancy. All I have is an old and not very good rate controller and an EZGuide 250 and that just shows where you've been lol. And it's a pull type sprayer behind a 4440. Nice video!
Thank you and yes I spent a lot of time on this old thing but I love it!
@@6thGenFarmer It's nice to see someone that still uses and likes them too!
Yea, the timelapse to music is back!
i like this little tricycle 😊👍
I do as well😂!!
That's really cool you got that to work...first time, too! Is your next project going to be a Raven Hawkeye system running everything through the universal terminal on the 2630? 🤔
Haha, that would be cool but with all the issues Hawkeye has I think I might stay away from that one 😂
Thanks Carson, that was cool! Before you even said "I did a thing", I was thinking "he created an accomplishment right there! lol" You reached a goal! You drew on your knowledge and education, then you used your creativity to apply it. AND it's on video too! lol Great going on incorporating "additive manufacturing"! I can imagine a day when farm scale 3-d metal printers will be available, or the co-op might own one....
Glad to see you using the old noggin' and getting stuff done! Retrofitting controls for some farmer friends might become a gig if you needed projects that paid you. I'm sure you have thought about it! It is a needed service since it improves results, and some older farmers may prefer to have the system installed for them, then to be shown how to operate it, even if the work in simply moving their equipment to a new piece of equipment. You would come in with expertise, and the determination to take on a challenge and see it all the way through, whatever might become involved.
I kinda realized yesterday again, that if I seek the harder jobs to do, it may feel like work is more fun, and it also seems to pay a little better, and the field is wider open / less competition lol You will rise just by sharing your abilities, your practiced and developing skills. I don't want to be all corny, but that is just a natural part of being what is next! :) Succeeding makes the most sense of everything! Not to take up too much space here lol
Thank you for the wonderful comment! I agree that solving a challenge is what makes farming fun
@@6thGenFarmer yw!
Yeah I'm impressed. 👍🇦🇺
Thank you!
Ever want to cure neck pain and save money at a chiropractor hit a ditch , works great for popping necks, know by experience, there good sprayers though!
Haha, the funny part is you commented this basically immediately after I got out of the chiropractors office😂
They don’t make things like they used to I would like to see any of the new stuff last 50 years
I think we will be surprised. I think some of the better maintained stuff will last a long time, definitely not everything though
Thought you were going to install taller tires like you brother's sprayer has ❓❓🗽🗽 Good job BTW
That was the original plan but it hasn’t happened yet probably won’t now😂
You make me want to buy a 6000 or 6500 sprayer!!! LMK if you ever want to sell one! ;-)
Haha there is one for sale near me… looks to be in terrible condition though and they want 6k for it😬
50 years old and will probably last longer than any modern POS
What dealership do you work ar
What king of pump are you using? I'm just setting mine up with 24 inch drops for some post spraying in tall corn. I've never used it, just got it. My plan is to shoot liberty and a grass herbicide... not sure what yet. 25 drops, using green leaf tadf nozzles . Hoping to spray 40 psi and 20gpa prolly 7mph. My pump has a double v belt and is mechanical. It has a teejet controller. Hoping to try out tomorrow..8 3 23
I am also using the factory double v belt mechanical pump
@6thGenFarmer u find it sufficient for the varied uses?
Had inch of rain last night so trial maybe tomorrow...
