@@BREW2LFOXBODY I feel like it's fairly budget oriented still going fast costs money lol. Considering how much some builds have in them I feel it's fairly budget oriented. Def one of the better fox channels so don't sweat the haters lol
How is it not a budget channel? Brew2l shows us how we can always cut cost and do stuff ourselves vs. Going to a shop or paying someone else . He literally does about everything himself. Stop being a cry baby class A hater @Ground zero. This is literally the best mustang channel I've found on RUclips. Everything is built on his property. He's not like the majority of car RUclipsrs who always take their car in for performance mods.
Ground Zero… you’re crazy or unemployed if you don’t think this is a budget channel. Brew2l has one of the realest, most knowledgeable low cost fox channels out there! If there’s a cheaper trick from back in the day to do something. He’s done it.
I fully agree with Ground Zero here, doing your own personal work yourself doesn’t make the job “budget” anymore. The only place he saves is on his own skills for not paying labor and tons of free parts from LMR. The free parts part of the channel never applies to any normal guy. So that being said, Dart blocks, forged rotating assembly’s, aluminum heads, turbo kits, and aftermarket transmissions speak for him. There’s absolutely nothing budget about this channel anymore lol. And for the record, this doesn’t really concern me or make me butt hurt whatsoever. I’m just stating facts, as there’s absolutely nothing budget, not even one tiny bit about my car whatsoever either. I enjoy the content! Rock on sir!!
Some of us are budget builders so I like to see what you have to do sometimes to make it work and down the road maybe get what you need. Enjoy your take on things
Silver Sport clutch, lol. It looks like a solid transmission for sure. And I would like to add that Silver Sport has the best customer service support hands down. Looking forward to the real world results on the street!👈💯🔥
Great video! If you cut the tack welds on the transmission crossmember at the two car attachment points, the member can slide forward/ rearward on their shaft & welded in place.
🔔😎 FYI When I went from stock valeo clutch to King Cobra valeo it was just a little heavier, but not bad. All I want😁in traffic. I noticed the diaphram fingers were shorter on the KC. In other words, the hole through the center for the trans shaft was larger diameter on th KC. Shorter fingers. fyi
Tremec makes a fine transmission. I certainly like My MN12 in My '04 Z06. I had a 3550 in My '90 GT. It held up well to 5900 rpm launches behind an 11 second car.
Flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch all get saturated with degreaser soapy scrub and a flush with the waterhose. Noticed since i started doing that less heat marks on Flywheel and pressure plate and longer clutch life!
The Silver Sport clutch is RAM clutch repackaged in Silver Sport packaging. The TKO and TKX need a spacer kit with the stifflers cross member that stifflers sales
Ive got a piece of advice for the newbies. If the trans doesn't spline up and mate to the bell with a little wiggling DONT DRAW IT UP WITH THE BOLTS! Find a mag base and dial indicator and sweep the bell. If its got a bunch of runout get some offset dowels and fix it now. 17 year old me found this out the hard way.
I like the rendition of whoever the guy is singing black streets "no diggity" in the early point of your video!! Nice!!!!! I'm buying my TKX at my local Summit Racing store either this weekend or late next week!!
That shit is dope. I'm over here wondering if my t5 will last under the monstrous torque being broadcast from my Chinese headed home built 351w complete with hand polished crankshaft, o.g untouched rods, hand file gapped rings, pre machined FRESH from craigslist .030 1974 351 block, cam bearings installed. I think she'll be a ripper LOL!
Now that car will wake up, I will say be careful with the long tubes and that cable, mine use to get so hot the cable will snap. Broke two cables in traffic and could not figure it out . Put the third one in and heat wrapped it , then I never ever had a problem. The big tube headers just create so much heat , not sure what type headers they are. Of course I know you know all this lol
What’s BREW2L! Loving the content man keep up the hard work! Got myself an 86 hatch T-Top with a On3 351w with the TKO600. TKX will definitely be the next trans I go with. Would u happen to be going to the LMr cruise in this October?
Nice work Craig, I left a comment last night but I understand the circumstances on why you cut short. Anyway, I was wondering why you chose to go back to a stick with the turbo car? The reason I ask is because I’m debating swapping out my 3550 for a built c4 in my turbo coupe
Hey man I’m 24. I have a 91 fox with a cobra body kit lowered and I’ve put all new parts on the car. I’m currently doing rear end tkx install. Thank you man for the knowledge. Post a video of owning and running this tranny for some time and how she held up. Thanks for your videos bro
Upgrade the clutch and shifter if you haven't. Majority of people claim most of the mt82 issues lie between these two things and upgrading them really makes the mt82 alot better. Also look into the Ben caliper cocktail it's a certain mix of trans fluid don't underestimate how much difference fluid can make in a trans.
@@midnight347 I’ve actually been looking into BG synchroshift II. I also had the line that runs from the brake master cylinder down to what I’m assuming is the clutch master cylinder sort of slide down and it almost seems to be leaking. Which I’m assuming would let air in. It’s like no matter how hard I stomp on the clutch I get some “nibble” going into gears. Do you have any recommendations for a good clutch? The power levels on this car are always going to remain very close to stock so I have no need for a crazy clutch/flywheel combo. I’ve also been looking into the Barton shifters since they use the pull up style lockout. I also want to replace the plastic line going from the clutch master to the slave cylinder with one of the braided hoses and then give it a good proper bleed. I’m hoping all of that combined will help because as of right now I hate driving the car
Enjoyed the vid but that little teaser driving clip was some BS lol. I was ready to see you put a few miles on it. By the way, your crossmember is just like mine now. It's the stifflers made for a t56.

So you had a c4.. im swapping my t5 for a tkx and I've seen people say the trans to bellhousing bolt for the tkx are different than the t5.. do you know if this is true and what size bolt they may be?!? TIA
Personally..600ft lbs is really not enough on a boosted car unless your goal is 500 to the tire.. you were going in the right direction with the c4.. you just tried using a basically stock c4.. if you would have gotten your hands on a PA super comp like I have the TKX would have been a. Acetone brake parts cleaner it all works just use the non chlorinated bpc.

Weird question but what are you using to edit your thumbnails
Photoshop
Stock flywheel is 19.1 lb.
How heavy is new flywheel AND the pressure plate too.?
No clue on the weight
😷 you mentioned it on 2 vids. 😁😁😁😁
19 feels pretty heavy when youre holding it.
lol
I curious if you checked the bell housing run out on your install? Just got my tkx from silver sport and seen that it needs to be checked in the instructions.
What are your thoughts on dial indicating bell housing for the tkx?
Was your cross member not movable on the bushings?
Yes but it wouldn’t line up no matter which way we tried it.
I'm considering the tkx 10 spline since my clutch is good it has the same rating as the 26 does. you think it will just as strong
What did you coat the bottom of the car with? Looks nice
Nice 👍
What brand is the tube arm's on the pony? Thanks God Bless!
For what a TKX costs, might as well as spend a little more and go with the T-56.

We tried that.. it’s offset and won’t work that way. But so far I’m loving the TKX
Its basically a smoother shifting tko600 correct? More similar to a t56 in that regaurd? If so that is super badass. It's like a t5 on steroids.

Lol we did
So is the 26 spline tkx better than the 10 spline tkx??
Whats the advantage to a super heavy flywheel? I don't get it. Thought the lighter the better?
A heavy flywheel seems to help in between shifts from what I’ve noticed. Seems smoother

what springs on the rear of the cobra clone?
Will my stock speedo cable work with this trans

How does it shift compared to a t5 or t5z?
