I'm still relatively new to homeownership - learned about resealing, general steps, and how often to do it after this video! Always learning from you, thank you for your content!
concrete should be sealed yearly at the very least, especially if it is colored, will keep it from fading in the sun & from water getting into little cracks & crevices, freezing & thawing, breaking up the concrete
Not all of us Canadians would be wearing shorts and sandals till the last second I for one will be wearing pants and shoes till winter hits then its pants and boots
Didn't realize you could protect a driveway. Good idea. Thanks for sharing. This type of maintenance on your tools because your driveway is a tool to your business.
I bet your driveway has a love/hate relationship with you lol you get it filthy but end up cleaning & restoring it again lol Your content is always satisfying ♥️
Being a DG fan is changing my lifestyle. I already bought a Bissell Spotclean Pro, a 6.5 HP vacuum, and a friend gave me a Bissell steamer, and I already had a buffer/polisher. All I need is a cordless drill. But my driveway is 58 years old so I'll skip the driveway scrubber, I'll just squirt it off. I can't wait for good weather. Thank you Mitch!
I dont get how people can dislike any of this guy's videos. You've helped so many of us on how to take care of our vehicles when detailing them and now even our garage and driveway. Keep it up man, you're amazing
Of course I love watching your videos, but I really love when you play your guitar. 😊 You play beautifully and the expressions in your face makes it clear that it brings you peace! Love it! 😊👌🏾☮️
Awesome relaxing vid and I love that it was something different. Found myself watching UK pressure washing driveway vids recently so this was right up my street haha.
Always a joy to see things cleaned. I bet the inside of your home is super clean too!! Thank you for the video. I even learned this was a thing. Very interesting!!
A tank sprayer works well too when applying the water proofing and then you can chase any runs with a roller in the end. Gets the job done faster and covers more evenly.
The exposed/sand wash driveway are the best for cold climates and alot of snow provides ample traction for walking. That was done great. It's a great thing to protect it gives you durability and long life.
The cleanup was so good that the roller going into paint tray looks spotless every time! Mine would probably gray up within third application! It'll be my first time but I'm looking forward to doing this in Los Angeles. Here I only gotta make sure the ground is clear of fallen leaves more than snow.
I have a friend in North Florida and a few years ago they got a dusting of snow.. he took pictures for his Christmas cards snow and palm tree in the background
Wow it looks great after the sealant is applied, most people’s driveways here in Europe are block paved, which is quite a different surface, however the sealing process is very similar.
This video is something different, yet the same, love that pressure washer! Yes, the snow is here, we got over 10 cm over the weekend and no warming in sight. Sigh... going to be a long winter at this rate.
I come from the other channel, and I am adding this to my list of home maintenance for the future! Didn't think about the driveway 'till watching this.
Why is watching you clean and seal your driveway sooooooooo relaxing??? Exposed aggregate is fun to look at but a bit like walking on Legos until your feet get toughened up again!!!😂😂😂 Can’t wait for the “Day in the Life” vid!!!! 🤩💜💜💜
While you're preparing for winter, we in Southern California have been dealing with 90 degree temps & wildfires. I'm originally from Michigan and in the upper part of the state they just had their first snowfall.
I'm getting more curious on how tidy and organized the inside of your home is. Hopefully next time we get to see how you organize your stuff. I mean, not the garage stuff, but the ones inside your house. Haha.
You take good care of your property, that's a clear sign nothing is taken for granted. Congrats. Great video. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
Hey, thank you! 😂 I just tried to purchase one of those 12" diameter discs and out of stock everywhere.... Ughhhhh. I just happened to see your video. It was like a *reminder* that I need to clean my driveway!
Thanks for a really interesting video Mitch. Looks like another thing to put on my to do list when I’m on holidays. Fortunately we don’t have snow where I am in Australia but the heat really batters home exteriors and car paintwork too.
Another thing that might make a difference, after the driveway is fully dry use a leaf blower to get any loose dust that you might of missed with the pressure washer.
I really enjoyed watching that very therapeutic we’ve just had to have some cracks repaired in our drive so will be sealing ours soon luckily I live in England so only very light frost compared to Canada
Mitch, about how long does it take for the solution to 'set up' or dry before you can use it? Looks pretty straight forward and a preventative maintenance product required in your neck of the woods.
Love your work ethic Maybe consider throwing down some gravel in your lil side yard connecting a your shrubs and plants plus it adds to your curb appeal
I'm a professional in the concrete/decorative concrete industry, its always best to clean and deneutralize the concrete before sealing. We use a product called SCR or just a simple mix of dawn and baking soda. Also slabs should only be sealed every 3 to 5 years, too much seal can cause it to flake and chip off. You can also get white spots called effervescence. Awesome job on the clean!
@@TheDetailGeek2 true. Also be on the lookout for seals that are specific for the cold. I know they're expensive but they will hold up a lot better and longer. There are tons of products out there. The company I work for ships worldwide, we actually have a huge job in London,Ontario right now.

I think it depends on where you live. Up here in Saskatchewan it is almost a yearly thing because of how harsh the winter
