My cheong is finished and it is SO GOOD. The maesil-ja is infusing, and maybe around Christmastime I'll get to try it with some spicy pickled plums. Thank you for teaching me about all of this! 🎉❤

For the purpose of the video you have to be especially careful to not contaminate anything so the plums do not rot. If they do so you're hard work will be wasted in the conclusion of mould growing as you are not fermenting it.

maesilcheong is really real Korean soul food.
My mom made it annually. my grandma always also do.(For my mother)
Its really good at stomachache. When I fall in love with toilet, my mom give me maesil-cheong hot tea instead of medicine. really good work. And It is the best option to quench our thirst. Its best drink for me. Hot or cold whatever.
I hope many people try this!

Since umi are not inseason right now I got bright green hard tart "June plums" at the international supermarket. Now I need jars and sugar and I'm ready!!! I love your video: it is so clear, and I love that you get 3 products. I just had the extract/syrup for the first time in my life last week and it's SO good I MUST make it myself. See you in about 100 days... when I buy soju.

I don' think I've ever seen this plum here in Brazil before, but all of these look awesome nonetheless! I'd really like to try the pickles [before adding the hot pepper paste! Hot!] and the syrup!
Thanks for sharing this amazing and long project, Maangchi! Hope you're happy with it, because we most certainly are! You are amazing!

Brilliant! I grow lots of large juicy sweet Green Gage plums. I will try your method to make syrup, liquor and pickle. Thanks.
