When I was 10yrs old I saw this movie at the Mission Theater in SF, Ca. While shopping with Mom I saw a toy sword that looked like this one. I was in awe. We were poor at the time, but I begged for this sword. Couldn't get it. But, on Christmas day I opened this gift. And, it was my pride and joy until those fake diamonds eventually fell off. 70 now, but oh how the memories became just yesterday. Thank you, rayray ✊✌️🤙
Omg this was like a fever dream!!! I searched “by the sword” and tried to describe the French girl turning into hag scene that scarred me as a child. Crazy how I knew the credits music right away after 15+ years!!
Produced and directed by Bert I. Gordon, The Magic Sword is a beautiful tale with a beautiful story, a beautiful end, and also an epic adventure. This motion picture should be available on DVD and also in Blu-Ray. A classic movie of my childhood. The Magic Sword is part of my youth forever, for all my life.
same here , I watched this years ago and never remembered the name of this movie until finally finding it after about 45 minutes searching word combinations for the title .....first time I ever saw this movie, I was amazed
Thank you for posting this--I caught the last half hour of it on Comet TV tonight, but I won't be around when they show it again. The picture on yours is a better resolution, too!
Somethings worked and a lot of things didn't work at all back then in 1969, one couldn't admire the effort inline with today's making of movie's, but that the movie must be there appreciated in the time that it was made in, 💍 before LOTR movie's there was ✨ The Magic Sword. ✨ 😅
It would have been so cool if Sybil would have armed the six knights just like Sir George. All them with their own Magic Sword, Magic Shield, Magic clothing, a Magic horse. And they learned how fight as a team!!! They would have won every single battle with ease and each time without suffering any personal injuries!!! They would have easily defeated every single curse and the seven of them with all their powers at full strength vs one Dragon they would defeated him very quickly!!! Ha!! Ha!!! The would have beaten the tar out Sir Branton and taken the ring from him and given it to Sybil!!! Then all together they would attack Lodac all at the same time and trashed him as well!!! Lol!!! That would have been great!!! Lol!!!
How I love old movies, and I love this one. I was a young teenager when this first came out, and at the time, it only cost me .50 cents to see it, love that price….I’ve seen it a couple of times here on RUclips and every time I come across it, I watch it again….👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼. I can’t stand the way movies are being made today, too much CGI n AI garbage in them, it’s taking away from those who actually do the actual acting anymore…you might say, replacing them with technological garbage, actors/actresses are being pushed out of the acting industry and replaced with fake representations of themselves, all for profit and greed. 😩😭

Remembered watching this movie and being terrified as a kid so here I am, time to rewatch
Exactly me, the scene in the cave gave me countless sleepless nights as a kid, time to not sleep again 😌
