This is definitely my story! After many years of using the Z2300, the satellites failed. I scoured the Internet for a long time in search of suitable ones. You need speakers of 40-50 watts, 8 ohms. (the Z2300 amplifier has 60 watts per satellite channel, but you need to connect less power) As a result, I chose two satellites from the “Klipsch Black Reference Theater Pack 5.1” system. They replaced the old speakers very well and the sound was much better. It would be interesting to know who connected what speakers to this sub?
@@cosmicwind8800 I went with them because they look like they belong to the subwoofer, being silver. Some nice wooden bookshelves would probably sound better though, the KEF 100w is power handling, I think their probably around 50w nominal
I just bought a set of these for my workplace in a small kinda warehouse. Already thougth about changing the stock satellites to custom ones, but would in be possible to connect another pair of satellites? That we would have a 4.1 System? Would be easier to distribute the sound over the place. Thanks and nice Vid!
So i have had this system for 10 years now using them in my room. My friend had a house party and i brought them over as he wanted some good sounding music. Well 5 hours of running them at almost 90% volume i ended up blowing both speakers. I have found speaker to rca cables on amazon. My question is any recommendations for a replacement speaker's that are still smaller in size for portability reasons? How do i maximize performance without drawing too much power from the amp?
Да, да, я также хотел сделать, но так и не купил эти трифоники. Как нибудь таки куплю и буду слушать с колонками "Романтика" 10АС-207. Кристальных ВЧ, конечно не получу, но зато СЧ будут достойными.
The original z2300 satellites are wired in reverse, meaning if you open them you find that RED is soldered to NEGATIVE terminal of the speaker and BLACK to Positive. I wonder if this affects the aftermarket speakers connected “Correctly”
@@Techscrews Yes i have a z-2300 subwoofer and a pair of presonus eirs 5 bt (active studio monitors) i dont know if it will explode if i connect both xd
I have connected my Dali Oberon 1 to this x2300 and the sound was muddy. Amp inside the subwoofer cuts the low frequencies to the satellites. So never connect your hi-fi or any good quality speakers to this z2300 instead buy proper replacement satellites or proper amp to your hi-fi speakers.

i connected 100w rms speaker and they are loud!!
I used a pair of 100w 8ohm KEF eggs
@@bob-g3e3x These are not bad speakers, as far as I can tell. I hope the logitech will pull them out well in terms of sound.

For 4.1 need 4 identical speakers and 16ohm for paraller connection and 4ohm for serial connection
@@Techscrews Thanks for the quick answer. Will try out a few things. :)
your grandma jokes made me lol
Any idea what pins power the sub? I don't have the volume control doodad thought I'd ask before I destroy it finding out, thanks!
i use google, this one look nice - blog.jseaber.com/2010/02/27/logitech-z-2300-control-pod-disassembly/

Oooh, realy ?
@@Techscrews Yeah! Very strange because the z623 is wired “correctly”. I have both.
Hi, I also noticed the same thing with my Z-2300. Red is soldered to negative terminal and black to positive. How should I connect for aftermarket?
@@sofsolelee6888 you can try both ways and take the way, that sound for you best.
@@sofsolelee6888 I connected red to positive on my aftermarkets, sounds great!
Hi, i love your review videos, what country you from?
Thanks. I am from Europe, Baltic states, Latvia.
Sir can I connect 4 ohm 3 inch satellite speaker with z2300 sub ?
At low volume, otherwise you will fry the amp
What happen if my speakers are pre amplified? it will burn?
you mean active 2.0 stereo speakers ?
you can use Z2300 like single active subwoofer for your speakers, there is full guide how to do that - ruclips.net/video/fjEcYgASTIs/видео.html
