Aveeno needs to come out with a Calm & Restore cleansing oil and cleansing balm. As much as I love Aveeno, they are getting way behind on the oil-based cleanser front.
Right!!!!! I've been waiting on a oat cleansing balm or oil from them. The Inkey List's Oat Cleansing Balm was a HUGE fail for me.
@@mignonalverson655 Bliss just came out with a cleansing balm this year and it's amazing! Doesn't sting my eyes either which is a huge plus. You might give it a try if you haven't already.
And a really good tinted mineral sunscreen. If they come up with these products, I'd consider using the whole line, lol.. 😊

The Aveeno Oat Gel Moisturizer is one of my absolute holy grails too. I have oily acne prone skin and it works like a charm. I hope they never stop making it.
I have very oily skin and EVERY other moisturizer breaks me out and clogs my pores. This one has been a god send!
pills horribly on me--just used it all over my body to get rid of--I can wait 2 hours and put on my retin a and it pills....
I want to try this but I'm already stocked up on products that I have to use first. The Vaseline Intensive Care line has a new sensitive skin lotion that looks good too. It has colloidal oats, no fragrance and petroleum high up on the list which I like.
Every time, I tell myself this is the last product I’m going to buy.
I absolutely love the redness and relief cream. I’ve used it for about 2 months and it definitely helps with with the redness,etc. I highly recommend this product. I’m going to pick up the exfoliator next time I’m out. Can’t wait to try it and the balm.

I trend that I have recently noticed: moisturizers are just crazy expensive now. They’re almost always double the price of cleansers. I feel like they used to be comparable in price. Maybe I’m wrong. But $20 versus $10 is a huge difference for the same line

I saw someone complain about this in the reviews prior to watching this video which actually turned me away from buying it. It’s hard to justify that price for aveeno no offence

I love the Aveeno calm and restore oat gel moisturizer! It’s so soothing and hydrating. I just started tretinoin this week and it’s been a godsend!
The Calm & Restore Balm is an amazing “eye cream”. I’ve been using it that way for about a month or so and I am in love.. it leaves my under eyes very hydrated, plump and my makeup goes on so smoothly

I feel so overwhelmed recently by both aveeno and cetaphil. They’ve come out with so many new products and products lines at much higher price points that before. Often times I cannot even tell the difference between the lines and really have to analyze the ingredients to figure out the differences (thanks to dr dray for the education on ingredients). Aveeno has three to four new product lines I’ve noticed, and cetaphil has a lot of new things as well and it’s hard to distinguish why they’re new, if they’re reformulated, re packaged/marketed, and what exactly are the differences from the original product line.
All the products seems great-don’t get me wrong-dr dray seems to be doing her magic as most if not all are fragrance free- but I definitely get decision fatigue looking at everything I want to try and hope (pray!) something will work for my problematic skin. Still searching for those holy grail products tbh
Dr dray, please make a comparison video comparing these products to the originals and to the other line (ex. Exzema line, tone & texture, etc.). Also same with cetaphil-the eczema line you showed, how is it different than the original moisturizers?
My face and neck are very sensitive and I was getting rash and dry peeling skin on my face. I started using Aveeno calm + restore oat gel moisturizer and the drmtlgy tinted moisturizer spf 46 and my face is almost back to normal in 5 days. Very happy and plan on trying the other Aveeno products you suggested. Thank you!!
I love their oat gel moisturizer too, for my day moisturizer as well. And I have dry skin.

I like the Calm and Restore gel, and want to try their serum and the PHA exfoliator. My favorite thing to use on my hands is the Aveeno Eczema Therapy daily moisturizing cream.

Do you wash your face with regular cleanser before or after at all?

@@THE_K_HOUSE I double cleanse, pat dry then apply to face and leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse off with a gentle cleanser afterwards. My skin is ultra sensitive so I have to rinse off. I think you can leave on if you can tolerate it.
At 68 my sensitive skin has gotten even more sensitive. The new moisture cream is my go to cream with my very sensitive skin. I'm looking forward to trying the exfoliator.

@@DrDrayzday is it true that for Rosacea you shouldn’t wash your face with a washcloth? Just use your hands? I’m at my wits end trying to control this, I just bought all these products in your video this week and I’m pretty sure it made my skin worse. My ocular rosacea makes trying to find a moisturizer nearly impossible, my eyes seem to react to everything! Would you believe that my dermatologist told me this week to get a chemical peel for Rosacea?? I thought I was going to lose it!

I'd like to know this answer too. I just got done with a round of oral and am now on topical but stopped because it was so drying to do every night. I bought the whole line of the Calm and Restore and used it tonight for the first time. So far, no peeling and no tightness after using cleanser, serum, and moisturizer when before I was using Cetaphil cleanser and CeraVe moisturizer that did nothing for my irritation.

I have normal - slightly dry skin and this Aveeno foaming cleanser dried me out so bad! 🥴
I love Aveeno, recently I was diagnosed with Eczema on my body, psoriatic on my scalp, not to mention my acne prone skin. After suffering my entire life with extremely dry and itchy skin, a few months ago I started to use Aveeno, and it really changed my life.
Dr Dray your Aveeno recommendations saved both my mother's and my skin from periodic irritation. We have to be careful to select the Excema and Calm & Restore lines since we found that some other Aveeno products contain gluten - my mother in particular does react to wheat in skincare products.
☺️☺️☺️ YES!!! I'm an Aveeno lover since over 15 years so to me it's like Christmas already in my head. I'll go to my drugstore this weekend to see if we have them yet. So they’ve reformulated the only cleanser that has ever actually helped my skin (the ultra-calming foaming cleanser you mentioned. I think they replaced the ultra-calming line with this one because I can’t find it anymore). I’ll give this a try but I’m wary.
I absolutely love the redness relief moisturizing cream. I use it at the end of my nighttime routine and have noticed a visible difference in the plumpness of my skin.
Love the oat cleanser, but the gel moisturizer and redness cream send my rosacea bumps into overdrive. Too bad b/c the texture of the cream for me is perfect. Cetaphil redness relief night moisturizer is still the most non-irritating for my rosacea.
Try the calm and restore balm! Thicker like the cream, very few ingredients, no feverfew. I couldn't use the gel either but the balm is great.

The PHA cleanser comes half filled. I recently received two bottles, and I’m pissed about the rip off.
I already had the PHA exfoliator in my cart when I saw your review and now I can comfortably hit buy. I also love this line. Costco has been carrying the Calm and Restore moisturizer so I'm stocked up on that one too. I'm excited to give the Redness Relief cream a try as well. Thanks for the review Dr. Dray!

Aveeno has been killing the game , I just got 5 2 packs of Aveeno calm & restore oat gel moisturizer at Costco
I was excited to try the oat gel moisturizer and got the 2 pack at Costco. Unfortunately it caused some contact dermatitis for me. It’s a bummer but I tend to have issues with gel moisturizers. Idk if it’s because I use Tretinoin and my skin is very sensitive to something they use in these formulations but they all burn and then cause bumps and peeling all over the face.
Try the new moisturizer, I wasn’t a fan of the gel moisturizer and I’m loving the redness one! ☺️

I finally got around to watching this one. I was hoping the Eczema Therapy Rescue Relief Treatment Gel Cream would be included.
I've tried all of these except the foaming cleanser. I figured it was a repeat of the Ultra Calming foaming cleanser that I didn't care for, I'm not really a fan of foaming cleansers.
The PHA cleanser is OK except it's runny. It's possibly the most runny cleanser I've ever used. It would have been nice if they had made it thicker like the original Calm + Restore cleanser.
The moisturizer is nice even though you can't put it directly over hyaluronic acid serum, it gums up when you do. But so does every other Aveeno moisturizer I've tried. It's thick, but it's not thick and moisturizing enough for me. It would be hard to beat Cerave Skin Renewing Night Cream, my favorite.
I like the balm. It's not cost efficient to use on the body and won't work in some areas where I use the Cerave Healing Ointment, like my nose and lips. But it's more nourishing and less messy to use on the face. And ears, I've used it there a few times. Unfortunately, it didn't work directly over hyaluronic acid serum, as I mentioned earlier.
There's also two new PHA moisturizers, Tone + Texture Renewing Lotion and Tone + Texture Gentle Renewing Night Cream. They're for the body, but I tried the Renewing Night Cream on my face. It didn't irritate, and I have very sensitive skin. But like the Redness Relief moisturizer, it's not moisturizing enough for my face.

The oat gel moisturizer and the oat gel cleanser are the best products to touch my skin. I have never felt more hydrated and non- irritated. I have 40 year old rosacea prone skin and this combined with my prescribed creams really changed my skin for the better. I haven't had to use the prescriptions for a while and the oat gel is maintaining healthy skin and dare I say, I no longer have dry sensitive skin as it is more "normal and balanced." I had a lot of luck with the brands "Baby eczema cream" years prior.

I bought the PHA exfoliator from Aveeno. HUGE fail for me. My nose itches so bad and it gives me a migraine. Back to Wishtrend's Mandelic Acid.
It's winter in Montréal... Aveeno fragrance-free body wash and Aveeno fragrance-free moisturizing lotion will get me through!

Thanks for your helpful videos. They are well made. I hope you don't mind me leaving a long comment. I'm male in my 40s trying to find the best skin health routine. I recently tried the Aveeno calm and restore cleanser 1-2 weeks. I did not get receive good results. My skin produced more oil and pores appeared larger. I also tried CeraVe but skin went a little red and felt tight. I took a break 3-4 days and washed my face very gently with a simple Pears soap (suggested by pharmacist) then moisturised with a Derma E Vitamin E skin oil (safflower seed). My skin seems a lot better. Brighter, balanced and more youthful. People are now asking me what I am using on my skin and are surprised when I tell them that I just use Pears soap and Vitamin E oil. I would love to know if you ever tried a simple Pears soap face wash routine? It's costs effective and seems to work well as a gentle face wash. Some people don't like its pH level, but to be honest, I am confused about that detail. Curious to get your thoughts on this, if you ever have time. Maybe make a video about Pears and similar brands? Hello. I have redness on my face maybe it’s rosacea. My dermatologist prescribed me some cream which did really help with the redness however made my face so dry and cracked feeling so I stopped using it. Would this like help for redness/rosacea? I don’t have bumps on my face just redness on my cheeks, nose and chin. Also would this like to be safe to use for red light therapy? I’ve been told by my Dr not to use the prescription face cream if I’m going to do red light therapy. What would happen if I did use the prescription face cream and did the red light therapy? Thank you
The balm actually burns my face. It’s the only product in the calm & relief line that does so. But everything else works like a charm.
Any thoughts on why it might burn?

Been using Aveeno products for many years from the oatmeal bath for chicken pox for my daughter's when they had them it was between the Aveeno and baking soda baths for the chicken pox, it's good for poison ivy too, which myself and my daughter's are not allergic to, my brother and my sisters sons all get poison ivy very easily.

I use the Aveeno Baby Balm for nighttime especially for wintertime. It’s not greasy at all and just sinks right into my skin.

I've used the ultra-foaming calming cleanser with feverfew and I like it but I've had some small issues with the pump, especially when you're low on the product.

I love Aveeno especially the Calm and Restore redness relief. It also has the fever few and I have allergies to some mum's but that moisturizer is just fine for me no reactions! I have trouble with redness after using exfoliators so can't wait to that this one.

I love aveeno and I love every thing I’ve tried from this line except for the PHA cleanser i haven’t tried yet, but planing on. I even put the balm on my lips at night during these winter nights and it’s amazing. Tonight is the first night I’m trying the balm over the gel moisturizer and praying my skin loves it 🤞🏾cuz I love the feel and texture of it. I even love the packaging.

Not yet
I simply use a mixture of several organic oils as a first step. Then wipe off with a wet wash cloth prior to cleanser. It's a great alternative.
