I know your channel is dedicated mostly to educating the public... Is there any chance you would do a video on learning tips for dermatological conditions for medical students? I've watched your videos on skin signs for liver issues and it helped me so much correlate clinical signs and not just rattle off tally o Connor exam findings during my physical exams. I felt like I was actually looking for signs instead of a memorised list. We don't get very much derm teaching in med school here and I was wondering if you could speak to how you learned best!
We LOVE so many Cetaphil and Aveeno products. It’s basically all I use on myself and my kids. My older two, like myself, have eczema, and reactions to lanolin, so Cetaphil ointment has been a game changer 🙌🏻 you are also very adored by our dermatologist!
What are your favorites? I'm currently liking the maroon label by lubriderm (regular use) and also came back to cvs dupe for eucerin eczema healing. It's quite soothing and feels good on flares
My eczema is trying to come back, but prequel urea lotion is fighting it. But I wonder if I should skip the lanolin based products & my emu lotions while my skin is extra sensitive…I know lanolin has never given me problems but I hear it can start up out of nowhere…
I always appreciate and look forward to your empties videos. Last Winter, I bought several of those double packs if the large containers of Vaseline and I went through them all pretty quickly. I was putting on a thick layer after showering and then my pj's like you had suggested. Made a huge difference as my skin gets super dry in the Winter. I would usually alternate doing that and using the Gold Bond retinol cream. I recently bought the Gold Bond crepe erase formula. I've noticed a bit of crepiness on my legs so I thought I'd give it a try. Happy Monday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a lovely evening. 💚
I love gold bond crepe erase too! Nothing can erase crepey-ness ofc, but it is plumping and I noticed it contains petrolatum in addition to urea etc. I love it for anytime that Vaseline is too heavy/sticky but I need a truly protective lotion. This winter I will def be using the petroleum jelly a lot more frequently, post menopause, my skin retains no moisture on its own lol
Lol I’m right there with you! I’m glad to hear you like the Gold Bond crepe erase formula. I’m looking forward to using it along with the Vaseline this Winter. Have a wonderful day. 🙂
You are the best. Your products have worked for me for years and you changed my skin ever since I found you. I appreciate you and love your content. I used to not be able to find any lotion that would work for me even after spending tons of money. The simple products you recommended helped me stop breaking out, these drug store products are way better than the high end ones with additional fragrances. Thank you for all you do❤
♥️♥️♥️prequel!!! Once my boxycharm goodies are used up, I think I’m creating a routine from only gold bond & prequel. But I did discover that a drop of glycerin added to ANY gentle cleanser is incredible feeling & so gently hydrating. Gleanser isn’t wildly expensive & is great, but I make little blends of cleansers to extend the best smelling ones & I’ve been loving every cleanser so much with just an extra bit of vegetable glycerin, which is easily available online.
Love your channel! This summer I have been using Vaseline on my feet and legs before putting on compression socks, and it has made a world of difference. I finally have smooth, soft feet. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Dr Dray, I left your channel and got caught up with all the other you tube videos on skin care.(that were full of lies and misleading info ,not good) So now I a back with you and am loving your channel once again and will never leave. You are the best.
For the Aveeno bottle I recommend once it gets low store the bottle upside down. Then when you can't get any more out cut the bottle open, gotta get every last drop 🤩👏🏾👏🏾🤣😂
I am a older women and just have dry skin due to my age. I started using amLactin intensive healing? due to you video, am really loving it❤ I have also used Riversol 3 step system. Would love if you would take a look at riversol and give your feedback
I have bouts with dermatitis and also have rosacea. I love Aveeno products and Dove unscented bar and body wash. I hate pump bottles now, end up cutting off the top to get what’s at the bottom. I like tubes or tubs better. I use lanolin in a tube( nursing mothers use it for nipple care ) for my lips or CeraVe ointment.
I like lanolin tubes but also you gotta try liquid lanolin that you can use as an oil (a very heavy one). I love adding a few drops to face/body mist in the winter, and to all kinds of other moisturizers. Have you tried lanolips products? Spendy for the size (to me), great flavors & tints, you can get shimmery rose gold lanolin ointment (& other shades) or tinted lanolin-heavy balms. When it’s below -10F, I like to use protective makeup! I have 2 tubes of rose gold and one nude balm and they really save my face!
I love Laneige lip masks, especially the peppermint one. I just love cooking sensation on my lips, and it works for me, so…))) But I always watch your videos and you literally saved my skin 100 times! Thanks for reviewing stuff for us!! ❤🎉
Thanks, Dr. Dray, you got me using sunscreen 4 years ago. I wanted to ask if you've ever tried any Mary Kay products. I don't sell MK but like some of the products.
Oooh I just realized my arthritis gloves keep my hands pretty lol! I stocked up on protective head gear at the Patagonia outlet but might have to pick up the prequel hat with my next order. Love the redness serum, protective gel, protective balm (angry eye area loves this balm), urea lotion, & hypochlorous spray!
Dr dray you should try the cos de baha azelaic acid serum, I get it from Iherb and it is the most gentle and effective azelaic acid product i’ve used so far and with my dry skin, most products with azelaic acid dry my skin out but not with this.
Hi Dr. Dray - Request: I would love a video on your perspective of self tanners. Are they bad/damaging to the skin, especially when used regularly? Can some of the chemicals be absorbed through the skin?
I just ordered the Hydra Boost Water Cream, Dr. Shereen Idress had warned that it can dry the skin if in dry climate or not moisture over it, so I assume since it's in a cream base I'm covered, even though I live in CA. Some of these body creams are so thick you can't even get them out of the bottle unless you get a pump. Hate that. I always add a bit of glycerin and lactic acid to any basic body lotion I have.
I live in Canada and I'm postmenopausal with dry skin and I tried the Hydroboost cream and it seemed drying to me I was dissapointed because I thought it would be extra moisterizing.
I think the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel/cream is the only product that i see people actually finish using .. specially in the summer. i forgot about Vaseline...😎
Dr Dray you should try out the J Beauty product called Ceramiaid. It's a fantastic cross between ointment/cream which contains ceramides, peptides, and petrolatum. It also has a fatty acid derivative of licorice root called Stearyl glycyrrhetinate that makes this product feel incredibly soothing when you put it on. I use it to slug with as well as on my lips, cuticles, and under my nose when the skin gets dry and scaly from blowing my nose. It's also fragrance free! I HIGHLY recommend you try it as there are no comparable products IMO. Added bonus is the price which is very reasonable.
Can you review D’you Hustle serum? It is a multi active serum from vit c to resvertrol to peptides etc all packed in one. They focus on minimal skin care routine so would love your review on that
Hello Could I ask if there’s a possibility of adding hydrating serums to lipgloss? I want to try and start my own cosmetic line, I know people sell pre made lipgloss etc but I want the benefits to also be the main reason my glosses are worth it! Sorry abit of topic but if you see this msg I would appreciate a reply. Oh I love your Chanel many years here now and you are a Gods sent Thank you for all your hard work and passion for what you do, it really shows
May I ask what is more moisterizing Hyaluronic Acid or Snail Mucin? Ive never used Hyaluronic acid on its own and wondering if I should try. Thanks kindly!🥰💕
Have you heard of "Botanics the power of plants" brand? I got a gel moisturizer from them at walgreens the other day, it has snow mushroom (wich it says in the box it's an alternative to hyaluronic acid) and aloe vera and fragranse free, in my opinion it's very similar to Hydro Boost Water Gel. Seems pretty good Update 2 days later after the comment Never mind, it broke me out
Yay. ❤ Love these videos, my husband said no one could know if youtubers just squeeze the product out in the toilet to get paid to say they like this or that soooo much, but thats not your, but I have my suspicion on some other people online 🙊🧐
What is the reason for not washing your fave in the morning? When you have a night cream and or serums/ointments are they like dissolved in the morning?
The Laneige lip sleeping mask works better for me than anything else. I have tried so many other products but always come back to the Laneige. But everyone is different.
So, I’m not Dr dray obviously but I have experimented with oils lol! I make my own cleansing oil & I used to use oil only, and I did shave with it! And tore up my legs a few times. I think it might be too slick, and it destroys razors. Using pure oil blends was expensive because it would damage the razor in a way that shave products do not. But, packaged cleansing oil is a blend usually watered down, and def might work. But the cost would be much, much, much higher. I love the feeling of a product with a bit of oil paired with something foamy, but I have to get the texture just right or I cut myself up.
The hydro boost cream is one of my favorite moisturizers of all time, but I feel like it's a bit overpriced for a pretty basic moisturizer. I only buy it once or twice a year because I can't justify using it all the time.
Slugging on feet question? I have tried this so many times, but it always finds its way between my toes and I end up with fungal growth and have to use canesten and stop slugging- what is the solution for this please? I find as I’m getting older my toenails are getting thicker and my feet dry out more. After caring for my mum and mother in laws feet I really don’t want my feet to end up so tough and gross. Hi Dr Dray so excited to be here i live for this ❤️
Happy Monday!
What socks do you use after "slugging" the feet with Vaseline? 🤔
HAs timeless serum has helped anti aging and what other differences did you notice..
timeless q10 serum is also helpful for minimizing irritation
Dr. Dray, why would magnesium sprays for topical application cause a burning sensation?
Have you tried using a cleansing oil as a shave oil? I'm not sure if the texture would be quite right but it could work 🤷♀️
So, I’m not Dr dray obviously but I have experimented with oils lol!
I have a question about progeline infused cream and if it is worth all they hype. Is it a real treatment to fight wrinkles? Thanks
Another great video!
The hydro boost cream is one of my favorite moisturizers of all time, but I feel like it's a bit overpriced for a pretty basic moisturizer. I only buy it once or twice a year because I can't justify using it all the time.
Can you use the Timeless Q10 with vitamin C?

q10
Dr. Dray, have you seen L’Oréal’s new chemical peel? I was excited until in saw the horrible ingredients of coloring with the wonderful acid ingredients. Why do they add dyes and coloring to skincare? 😩
I saw Doctorly review that and gave it a side-eye, lol.
Should q10 be applied before or after the hyaluronic acid serum?
The Inky List has a Q10 for $10 what are your thoughts?
See her review of it from a few years ago.
Hi Dr. Dray, my son shaves his head, and gets ingrown hairs on the back of his neck. Any suggestions I can give him?
TendSkin. It’s great for ingrown hairs.
There are products in the baby aisle for cradle cap, that works excellent and it’s gentle! I even use it on my face as an exfoliated, lol
Dry skin girlie here - the vanicream and prequel cleansers were too stripping for me
Same. I have better luck with neutrogena gentle creamy cleanser or their hydroboost cleanser. What are your favs?
The Vanicream cleanser irritated my face - felt like I had a bit of a sunburn
Try the albolene cleanser
My favorite is the Eucerin hydrating cleansing gel. You get so much product for a good price! It's cheaper than cerave.
Oh wow, how different for me. Hope you find a good one that works for you. Vanicream is the only one that works for me.
On my second bottle of Vanicream Cleanser, third jar of BoJ Radiance Cleansing balm, and for the first time I’ve actually finished a jar of Vaseline.
Why is vit c serum overhyped..I used Ascorbic acid and became sensitive...does any form help in collagen synthesis of vit c serum...And one more thing which is more beneficial and faster result and sustainable tropical vit c serum or oral vit c serum which is effective and is 3 o ethylated Ascorbic acid effective
Do you think the BoJ radiance cleansing balm would help with sebaceous filaments?
I saw good results with benzoyl peroxide cleanser. Acnefree has a 2.5% one that's good
I might check out her video, oil gritting to remove sebaceous filaments.
The iUnik Calendula cleansing oil is great for removing sebaceous filaments. I don't find cleansing balms work as well for that purpose.
Pls do a whole review on minimalist brand. No need to buy the products but just review from their website!!
Not everyone appreciates reviews like that. Dr V tends to do that.
Can we use the cream that ingredients includes alpha arbutin 2% and licorice extract during pregnancy?
Best to check with your ob/gyn.
Every time when I use a nightcream or any thicker mouthfeel on my chin my pores get all clogged :(
Can you please suggest me a resonable sunscreen uk / usa based? Please
la roche posay has great options; also, Altruist in the UK is excellent
noooo i need the sun screen vid 😔
I thought serum was on your no longer buy list 😉❤
