We were blessed to see Second Chapter several times. They were unlike any Chrisitian music group I'd ever heard! Later, when we were expecting our daughter, she would move around a bit when she heard music, but she would dance whenever Matthew began to sing. We played his music in the delivery room, and our newborn daughter would listen intently whenever she heard Matthew sing. We still love his music and marvel at the gift of his voice.

Matthew Ward is the first male vocalist I ever realized is extraordinarilly and awesomely talented. That was in the early days… The 2nd Chapter of Acts remains my favorite gospel group.

I started listening to 2nd Chapter of Acts when i was 16, 49 yesrs ago. They came to my home town of Dayton. Did a concert at Bethel Temple. I was there. They came to my college and did a conert. I was there. Now, i listen and sing with them almost every day. Matthew and i have some wierdness in common: we both harmonized with an electric vacuum cleaner when we were kids. Different states.
Thank you to you and your sisters and Buck.

So glad I found these! Phil Keaggy, Paul Clark, The Talbot Brothers, and 2nd Chapter of Acts were and still are food to my soul. Mimicking Mathew is how I learned to harmonize. How The West Was Won is an all time favorite of mine! ❤🎼🎶🎤🎤🎤👑

I remember "Hallelujah, his blood avails for me. I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see." From the Come Together musical. I heard this breathy tenor harmony flying around in the background and it stood out from everything else. That's a gift.

Keith Green, 2nd Chapter of Acts, Larry Norman, Daniel Band, Michael Talbot, later Micheal Card & Randy Stonehill, etc, they all helped me make it through my transition from the world to a stability in Jesus, the Christ. I thank God for you and your sisters, Matthew!

2nd Chapter of Acts, Towards Eternity , Keith Green, Dallas Holm, and a whole lot more of this music line is what I listened to because I could just praise God while singing it. I still love the music to this day, but for me, the biggest influence was God's hand on me shaping my life as I read His Word and spent time with Him. Matthew Ward's voice and music, I still listen all the time though. God has blessed him and his sisters.

Matthew sang on a song called Send The Messiah written by Dan Perrin. The song is extremely powerful. Mosaic Choir and Orchestra performs the song as well. It’s Matthew though that set the standard for the vocals.

Have you ever noticed when you walk into a room with a baby sleeping (and they're awake)?
Why are they cooing, why do they smile and chatter when no one is in the room?....I will tell you why, because angels are with them.......the Holy Spirit is all present.....after my divorce I moved 1000 miles away....I walked with God and was never lonely (I was filled with wonder) that was 25 years ago....my son disowned me for 12 years.....I didn't want him back, because he was so nasty to me (yes, I missed the good old days with him.)...I stopped trying to contact him years ago....I would kindly answer any email (which was one email) ....my family despises me ( I have been very, very kind and generous to them all my life)....I don''t want to know anyone that doesn't long for Jesus first and me second!
My son came back a month ago, we have warm conversations!

Looking forward to God raising up new artists that sing, harmonize, use beautiful instruments, the whole shebang. Thankfully I have my K-Love app which I use to go back and forth between the 70’s and 80’s christian music. ❤

Truth was, back in the late 70's in my teens, I bought dozens of cassettes of Christian bands...It didn't last long (though my commitment is to this day).
Half the bands had mediocre commitments....many had lavish commitments to Jesus Christ.....2nd Chapter was one, a true worship band, real anointing!...there were others.Keith Green had a fiery commitment that seem to fade by 1980.
In the 70's, the way to hear the committed bands was live....many, and I mean thousands of young people flocked to glorify God at their concerts.....the power of God fell like the book of Acts at times.....so much so, that enumerable ministries were started because of effected souls at these live events...Matthew and his sisters are precious people (including Buck, he had the gift/the thing)!

    • @karenhensley3069

@@projectdesign4675 So true! Agree! There was def a real anointing from the Holy Spirit back then! I feel we are blessed to have experienced that! I’m not sure if that will happen again till Jesus returns now. Not that I’m discounting God here! But I know what Scripture says.

It will be teenagers with old timers like us!
