I am blown away listening to this interview! For many months I have been researching all that I could find because The Second Chapter of Acts was and still is my favorite group ever! I am 74, so they have been with me my whole life. I graduated from a Foursquare Bible College, with Jack Hayford being the one to introduce the group to me and my family. I have laughed and cried thru the whole interview, so thank you for this precious gift!

This was so powerful. My heart is stirred when I hear of how God so powerfully worked in their lives. As a 61 year old, this was my music as a young person. It was also wonderful to hear about both the Charismatic movement and the Jesus movement. It caused me to cry out to the Lord and ask Him to do this again! America needs this kind of move of the Spirit again! Thanks for sharing this.

I remember around 1975 listening to the first album in my living room and I’d be on my knees weeping, encased in the Love…Annie’s voice has a way of making me long for The Love of Jesus. And that’s all I want and need❤️. Hearing these songs today pulls at my heart. Helps me remember the Love….

"encased in the Love," is a great way to express it. Her voice, Nellie's and Matthew's blending in too. Their music was the first time I didn't look to "idolize" the artists themselves but the One to whom they were singing. Today's artists could learn much from them.

On February 28, 1987 (a Saturday), I had the wonderful opportunity to hear them in person in San Antonio, Texas. I met Annie and she was absolutely super! Nelly was also nice. I am so deeply blessed by the Lord in this interview. Annie , if you read this , I am so deeply grateful that when He saw you coming to that Shrine Theater where He showed up in power and waited for you to come forward to Him that I was one of the thousands he showed you in the vision He gave you earlier who would be blessed by what God was about to do in your life. You have likely only met a small number of those in that vision , but we are real, we have tasted the Grace of God and been touched by the Lord through your ministry to Him. I wake up every day to "He loves Me", it holds me , resets me and sustains me with increasing power in the Holy Spirit every time I hear it. I have left instructions with my family that This song must be played at my funeral one day along with "Receive" which is a match to my testimony sung by a Sister far away. Thank you and God bless you guys, please keep on singing your love songs to Him.

I first discovered the Second Chapter of Acts when I was about 12 or 13 back in 1977 or 78. I loved their music. In my high school years, I saw them twice in concert at the Denver First Church of the Nazarene. That church had a huge auditorium-like sanctuary and many Christian bands played there in concert. Annie's voice could fill that place to the rafters! Great memories.

He had gotten Covid and died from the terrible hospital protocol. After 19 days , I was allowed to be with him as he was leaving this world . I found your music on RUclips , and I played it for him during his last moments .. he loved the hallelujah song you did with the children . I couldn’t find it . But as Richard was slipping away , another version of that song came on.. it was like a God kiss in a holy moment. Thank you.

I'm a LONG-TIME fan of 2nd Chapter. I became a believer in 1972 - while in the Navy. Home ported in San Diego, I heard that Barry Maguire had become a Christian - and that he was going to appearing at a Church in San Diego (Skyline Wesleyan I think??). So a few of my friends and I went to the concert. I had never heard of 2nd Chapter of Acts before. When Barry came out and started his concert he had 2nd Chapter there as his back-up singers. It was ALL very anointed! And then... Barry let them take center stage and perform their songs.
I WAS BLOWN AWAY! I had never heard music that powerful before - I was literally in tears. Watching your 3 interviews brought back wonderful memories of my early days in the faith. What a blessing!!!

Great time of reflection and remembrance. Loved it! Always loved these guys and the tremendous impact they had on all our lives back in the day and still to this day. They would never remember me, but I actually did get to met them a few times. Thank you so much for this. Can't wait for the other ones to come.

Thank you for this. I love the interviews, and it's nice to see the Dr. Z's amplifiers and Rickenbacker bass in the studio as a musician.

Thank you! A great interview with them complimenting your interview with Matthew last year. Brought back memory of first seeing them and Barry about 50 years ago singing to a small group in Eugene Oregon. And then the memories of their music and ministry through those following years. Thanks.🙋‍♂️🏍💨❤️🙏☝️

Thank You So Much! Such A Great Healing Interview! In the 1970's I was in Lindale when Wilkerson, YWAM & Agape Force were having trainings and saw Andrea & Disciples first tour in Dallas at Bronco Bowl.

Several weeks ago, I asked the Lord what was 2nd Chapter of Acts doing now ? This was such an awesome update. If I was going to give you a new name it would be ‘Spirit-Filled’. 👏👏❤️❤️

Barry McGuire was a master speaker. Were recordings made of the stories he told? I would love an album dedicated to Barry sharing what on his heart during concerts.
