This guy is well versed in all types of music.
dude this guys is a fucking SAVAGE
What I like about this vid is that there are so many licks to steal! Some really good ones!
Ah, just like promised on the forums! Keep it up Orange, I'm liking this so far... still watching it low-res but it's sounding promising. Much more diverse that what I'd expect from an Orange-demo!
@exmag Strings on floyd-rose style guitars usually break at the bridge. Makes sense to leave some spare string at the headstock so you can feed it through when you get a break. He's also decided to leave the string-stops on, so there are no sharp/dangerous ends at the headstock.
Looks like a textbook example of the correct way for a session guy to string up a floating trem guitar!
What suprised me is that he described the thunderverbs channels as 'clean' and 'dirty' when in fact both of them go from clean to full roaring overdrive just as well as each other.
Also i should point out, although the Thunderverb might be heavier sounding the Rockerverb has more gain on tap.
love how he's playing ibanez, really love the challenger.
Hey Doug- I usually don't spend much time on checking out new gear when...basically I'm not ready "to buy just yet" - But, your slick demo here (the best I've seen yet) was just outstanding I thought on really getting to the 'quick point' of tones on the whole Orange line - with both guitar and bass- impressive! - in such a short 8 minute video - but yet covered all points. And Your playing is outstanding! You can do it all. Very classy Doug. That last bass line was sweet. Thanks!!
I know the rocker series wasn’t out yet when this demo was done. But The Rocker all tube 32 stereo combo Is a bad ass little amp!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have been waiting for a video like this
I want a Rockerverb!!!
An updated video would be great. Well done. !
AD30HTC is where it's at. Bought mine used a few years ago and can't think of using any other brand than Orange.
one of the best reviews available online for the ad30!
God, that AD30 sounded amazing. Too bad they don't make Rocker 30s anymore, I love mine ;)
This was an awesome vid. Makes me want to support the company.
This is a really nice amp, one of the best...
That playing at 5:12 is BEAST.
I love orange amps i have the or15 and its amazing !!!
Doug is the man!
awesome guitarist, very good preview.
Nice overview. Thanks!
I love your ibanez vintage guitars and your Normal ibanez guitars 😋
where is the rest of the series
@ 4:16...thats a beautiful guitar...awesome playing too! :)
Cool video.
This video is awesome and it really made me buy a Crush PiX CR50BXT. Really nice practice combo and, of course, with a built in tuner.
What kind of distortion pedals are you using during the demonstration of the Crush PiX CR50BXT and the AD 200-B Mk II? I'm lookin for a cool sound like those.
Thanks for your good work :)
Btw Mesa boogie and Marshall heads sound Great with an orange cab
Holy God you used channel 2 of an AD30 with a Gibson L4 to great effect. Have the Nobel committee reached out yet? I could probably make some back channel phone calls if not.
Glorious.
Newbie question. What is the difference between Rockerverb and Thunderverb? I use aggressive pickups in LP wannabes.
i think the guy is wrong when he says the DT has EL34s.
It has EL84s, I'm pretty sure...
I see a theme with the ibanez's here...
@Tyguy80s Yea the tuner..plug your guitar into the amp on a clean setting, pluck the low E string and listen then turn the corresponding machine head on your guitar. Follow suit for the rest and hey presto you have a tuned guitar.
Thats the way i do it ;0)
Or you can buy an aftermarket tuner as the PIX 12 as you rightly say doesn't have one.
Happy playing Dude.
It's coll how all the guitars are ibanez
5:17 the first thing that comes to mind...
Does anyone know which head's the band Graveyard uses? I am deathly in love with the tone they have.
2:05 is the best part
youre one of those.........
Is there no videos of the Crush Pix 100 Watt bass amp?
I don't get it. Some of my favorite bands supposedly use orange, but when I try them out all i get is an ac/dc classic rock sort of tone (which is fine if you're into it).
Orangeいいなぁ。
So i play zeppelin and hendrix and your typical 60's-70's rock..so sohudli get the ad30htc?
What's the guitar he uses first? The SG-like thing?
Thumbs up for vintage lawsuit ibanez guitars!
rockerverb 100
For the price, what kind of head would give me a good versatile dirty channel without being to expensive?
Does this amps r compatible with pedals?
Why is the Thunder 30 Chinese made, with Chinese made EL84's ?
Does someone recognize the brand of the bass at 7:12?
AD30 IS THE VINTAGE MONSTER!
Does Orange make a 3 Channel AMP?
+Green Meanie no i don't think so, 2 channels is the most ive seen, i use a rockerverb 50 MK II and it has 2 channels but that does more than the job ;)
ROCKERVERB
2-4 AD30R's with real Celestion 30's are lot better than the twin channel by a long shot.
What guitar is that at 4:32?
I might need to get the Thunderbird, all I play is metal XD
Someday u might want something more versatile than just metal O like metal but I also love all music
@GrandTheftRomance Damn straight!!!
I'd love a rocker verb. After getting and listening to my line 6 I officially fucking hate line 6 and digital. Also don't have the money for a rocker verb.
Cool review ... but was the camera man drinking ???? Too much focus effects !!!!!!
i wish i was as good as him...
Plz clip ur strings. Thanks.
@matrixman609 Amazing how the "pretty good players" get all the deals, and all the true virtuosos are stuck selling amps.
Maybe Doug and Guthrie and the like are not genre-specific or dedicated to their own unique thing as much because they've transcended that and so feel more like session musicians than anything else.
He says the Dual Terror has an extra pair of EL34's.. Umm, sorry it uses four EL84's. Come on Orange, if you guys can't even tell what the amp has in it, why bother? That said, Orange amps rock and I like them a lot.
Teach the camera guy to focus!
VERY good otherwise :)
