more of this please!! ...love to hear all that gear in a real world scenario and this is pretty much the vibe of a gig in a small underground venue (we need to take care of the beers and the smell ourselves though)
Since you’re asking, I’m from a little town in the west of South Africa. Been watching all your videos during lockdown. Desperately chasing the ultimate doom / drone tone and your advice has been invaluable. Keep up the brilliance! Mario
Even the crush 60 is insanely loud and awesome, especially hooked up to a 4x12 cab combo mix. With the particular drummer i played with recently the 60 never went past 3 and i would by no means call him a quiet drummer. The others in the room kept asking about the tubes and what kind i had in there and all that, they looked a little puzzled when i told them it was solid state and indeed i payed less than 500 for it haha. Nice video guys, new subscriber here and greetings from north texas!
On a side note, i keep all volume at 10 on both channels, lets the amp break up a little, and then just use the master volume for, well the volume. I usually use the clean channel with treble and bass between 7 and 9, 10 and 10 is scooped if your into that. Then an sd1 or vintage overdrive set to taste, then a violet rams head on top of that also set to taste, sprinkle some stock reverb and or delay, a cheap assed vox wah, and i can pretty much get any tone ive personally ever needed.
Great story Jason! You got a fan in NC and I dig the tech talk- you are a genius at creating some of the best sounding fuzz pedals. The song from this jam totally killed! Killer sounds and band!
@@FuzzlordEffects You oughta pull apart an old Gallen Kruger RB700. I know it's a bass amp, but those old GK sleds were some of the only ss amps where the power amp was designed to sound good pushed past it's limits. They called it the GK growl or riding the rails. Naturally they were freaking loud for their rating.
Love my Orange, but I'm stuck in a 500 square foot apartment, so am using the Rocker 15 combo. I even have to switch it down to 2.5 watts to stop getting complaints. Hah. Watching from Victoria, BC, Canada. I love Oregon. We were going to come down and visit a bunch of craft breweries in Portland, Eugene and Bend for my birthday in a couple of weeks, but COVID had different plans. Sign.
Oh yeah let me know when I can get a nazareth thank you and thank you for keeping my spirits up here in iraq I have a 1x12 marshall with a zombie 20 watt bantamp, , prs baritone , john petrucci wah , 808 overdrive , boss eq , and next to the lineup is your new nazareth , thanks again , over and out Marko
Marko, thanks for watching and commenting. The Nazareth was released and quickly sold out. However, it will be back! The easiest way to know when pedals will be released is to sign up for the email list fuzzlordeffects.com and follow the instagram page @fuzzlordeffects
To achieve that "Tube Compression" vibe, try putting a good compression pedal starting at like a 1.5 to 1 ratio in the fx loop. That should help. Cheers.
Really been looking at the CR120, mostly because of budget reasons. An Orange Omec teleport into the fx return would allow basically any configuration via plugins ie: BiasFx and the like. I got a beater 4x12 I've wired as two independent vertical 2x12's at 16ohms each side that I had an oldschool Marshall Lead 15 SS head hooked to (I tinker). It was crazy loud configured that way. I bet the CR120 hooked like that would be loud enough to raise the dead, blow speakers, or get cops to show faster than 911. Also, the 4 cable method would be great, but I feel you on that "edge of breakup" OD push you get with a proper tube amp. My first real tube amp was a USA Crate V50 (Billy Gibbons sleeper amp). Set it to ACDC, and slap it with an OD set to clean boost, and off you go. For the price and tone? The CR120 is pretty hard to beat IMO. For what you save overall on upkeep justifies buying two. Stereo Doom! Muahahaha!
Sick stuff! I love orange gear. I built a couple cabinets inspired by them. I live in/From Tacoma,WA. Originally from Killen Alabama. Noticed y'alls license plate haha. Keep up the cool stuff
Small world haha next build for a client is a 1x12 with Celestion green back. Black Tolex with purple piping w/ black and purple weave grill cloth. Ill try and post a picture!
Hi Jason! I bought that orange Crush pro 120 amp online today! I cant wait to pick it up and plug it in my 4x12 cab. I want a lot power and volume when Im dooming away. My expectations are really high, will it blow my head off? Sure hope so! You inspired me! Beautiful jam guys! Cheers! 🤘
I love my Crush Pro 120, the clean channel is amazing for pedals, I'm still fucking with the dirty channel, what is your settings for the dirty channel
@@FuzzlordEffects Thanks for making cool sounds for us. I wonder how many songs we love were inspired by sounds pedal builders created. Probably more a few. Who knows, we might not have Voodoo Child without Ivor Arbiter.
Awesome demo, I have that same head and think it sounds great, I can get just to the point of breakup and pull off some Clutch tones as well as put pedals I. Front of it. I’ve only got one fuzz pedal that it hates and it’s the KHDK Unicorn Blood Fuzz. For some reason I just get pop and hiss with that pedal but it works fine with my tube amp so I just guessed it’s some kind of compatibility issue between the two. Anyway as always great demo and smooth jam.
I just bought a CR120H and started using it in my band practice, loving it so far! Like you, still getting used to settings... need to play with it more. In using the Clean channel, how do you use the Master volume and Clean volume together?
Hi John, So I think if you want headroom keep volume a little low and master high. However I have found lately that using the gain channel with gain set fairly low, works well for pedals. I assumed that overdriving or boosting the gain channel would work better as it is designed to clip where the clean channel got a little splatty with my fuzz boxes. Cheers! Jason
How did it go???? I find I like both channels for different reasons. Likely going to run the foot switch so I can go from a great clean tone, to the gain channel that works a bit better with the medium gain overdrive type stuff. Cheers! Jason
@@FuzzlordEffects So I kept the dirty channel gain low, about 9 o'clock and the volume past noon with master way up. This had a nice driven sound, which if I used the clean channel I would use my overdrive pedal to get that effect. So I dialed down the overdrive pedal and punched in my Turbo Rat which gave a really nice distortion. Rolling back on my volume knob on the guitar gave me enough cleans for quieter parts and when I needed to get that wall of sound, I dimed the guitar volume and punched in the fuzz which really made it roar!
my crush 120 started out life as a combo amp.but dude i got it from made it into aseparate head and cab.2 twelve cab...mine dont sound good until i put my rocktron preamp out from my rocktron r50c into the effects loop in on the crush 120

On the subject of loud, solid state amps with a great clean tone (and drive tone, really) try a Marshall Mosfet Lead 100 head if you havent already. Itll getcha there
man dudes bass tone is sweet.
