Good strength all-around in the upper body, but her grip strength and the ability to hold on for so long is what really impressed me!
+Kareem Saïid wrong, men have %20 more muscle mass on the upper body than women, there's no excuse.
+Hassan dabashi I agree, there is no excuse. However grip strength to body weight ratio does scale with absolute body weight. That's why the best rock climbers in the world are pretty light. However, there also is the former bouldering world champion Jan Hojer who weighs around 80 kgs and does pull ups on ONE FINGER, so no, there is indeed no such thing as an excuse. I also disagree with the statement "thats because she doesnt weigh as much as us men". No, that's because most guys don't have the mental fortitude and training drive that this girl has.
+Kareem Saïid Did you take a look at Jan Hojer? He does carry a significant amount of muscle and IIRC he held the bouldering world chamption title recently. However, I agree with you generally, being light weight is an advantage in climbing. Never wanted to deny that. However, for most climbers, a big teres major, lattisimus dorsi and big forearm muscles are an advantage rather than a disadvantage as these muscles translate very well to climbing performance.
Jake McCoy is right but I am going to add this I actually said in my post above, that being skinny helps being a good climber as strength to weight ratio does depend on absolute body weight. The main points that I was trying to get across were:
1. Most people should not worry about it too much if they're not going to compete in a sport.
2. It doesn't take away from the achievements of lighter people (like the girl in the video).
3. Increasing the size of certain sport specific muscles can still increase your strength to body weight ratio in your sport.
+Vahva Fitness yeah, her nervous system is insanely conditioned.
That's awesome bro! She has some serious strength!
Thought she was gonna quit after 30... Now I'm wondering if you is ever gonna stop
Too strong!!!
Congratulations Irina, with hard work we achieved everything we want and you're achieving... NEVER GIVE UP!!!
No grunting, nothing, so smooth.
No one grunts when they do pull ups.
Hey I just wanted to say you and your sister are awesome. She is so damn strong! Her grip strength is phenomenal. Keep up the good work!
I wish my gf could do that !
jk I don't have a gf :*
+Vincent BG (Cheaps) I'm already on board of the feel train, care to join? Tickets are free.
On board the feels train """"
Anymore more seats available?
This should have millions of views!!! This girl is amazing!!!
This is incredible... I remember however many years ago it was when she was in your videos just starting out with pullups
+Eric O She has indeed progressed very impressively.
Simply amazing,I'm over here still working on getting 2 lol What is even more impressive is how she is able to hold on for so long and push through even though you can see she looks tired when she gets to the 20s.
Nice! Congrats to your sis, Fortress!
Very, very, very impressive! :o She had also one of the best teachers! :D
I was very weak years ago but today I can do sets of 15 pullups thanks to paul very inspiring
Impressive as hell, also put me to some shame lol
really impressive. I can only do 15 max strict form pullups. Most of the girls i know can't even do one pullup. Great training your sister man its amazing!
wow, i remember her in your videos a long time ago doing pull ups easy, awesome achievement
Awesome! I was inspired by you and follow your exercises religiously. Now i am also the fan of your Sister Irina. Congrats to her. She is very strong. Both Brother and Sister has got some serious Work Ethic. You have so many Followers in India Also. A lots of love and blessings from India. Keep Doing Hard work :)
Congratulations, you must be really proud of your sister :)
Awesome, really strong, congratulations!
Not related, sorry, but. who is playing saxophone and guitar in that backgroud recording? Thanks!
That awesome jazz in the background
Very impressive ! Congratulations to your sister.
Great jazz jam! Congratulations...
4min on the bar. Really impressive!
fortress can you do a one arm muscle up tutorial
she started struggling at 30 yet still made it to 50 impressive
What makes this more impressive is the false grip she is useing and when it slips into a cliff hanger grip.
She was on the bar for 4mins dang thats crazy impressive
Yeahh did u saw Man vs minkey
she's strong, him n his sister prolly get along well, I don't usually like watching teens workout but the title had me to a must watch
+Fortress you need to get WORLD RECORD for pullups Mann Division
AWESOME! that's really impressive, big up to both of you ;)
Very impressive. Especially without one arm cliff hangers to shake out arms
At my peak I was able to do 30 without stopping. I was only 11 though so I was light I'm 13 now and I hope to do more by spring.
do you have a video on the best method of breathing when doing pull-ups? it would be awesome if you could make one...
That's awesome! I expected no less! ;) Man, I really need to get my pullups together. I can barely do 20 of them. xD
Wow that was impressive. Congratulations to your sister Fortress!
P.S. I must also add that she is a cutie ; )
Congratulations to your sister.
wow, i'd be thrilled if i can even do 1
The problem with pullups is to get used to it. I dont have any pull up bar yet, so i cant do it daily.
I don't understand how the grip held out for so long.
congratulations irina
insane. but they cut 3 pullups off?
What song is that? I listen to jazz whilst training aswell!
Is her name Irina?
Either way, the record for most consecutive push-ups by Women was made ( probably by her ) on my Birthday ^_^
Hey bro. It's been a while. How are things? Could you do a video on how to increase your muscle up reps? Please and thanks
Wow that's impressive, is she able to perform the one arm pull up ?
Learned from the best
What!!!!! Wow you trained your sister well I better get on the ball.
respect...good bless you both
proof they are descendants of the armstrong family lol
+Kit Kat it was a joke the armstrong family is from full metal alchemist they are known for being extremely strong lol
Great work
this girl is stronger than i will ever be no matter what i do
Impressive.
I can do 30 consecutive pull-ups at the age of 66.
After watching Irina, I realize now that I should be able to do more.
Question: Does being heavy/heavier make it harder to perform pull ups? I mean, of course it does, you would think. But surely the proportion is the same. Skinny means less weight but also smaller and less strong muscles.
+Fjerid There is an optimal point for that. If you look at competitive rock climbers for instance, the vast majority is between 54-64 kg when they are in competition shape, with a few exceptions here and there. Rock climbing is a lot more complex than doing pull-ups, but those numbers give you an idea. ;-)
ClimbingCalisthenics Aaah. So being light weight does benefit calisthenics practitioners!
What if I'm a bulking dude who happens to train bodyweight only? Any tips on that? I have noticed my reps are significantly lower than before as I gained a few kg's.
+Fjerid Well, it really depends on how much weight you gain. Something like 5 lbs will not make a huge difference, even though I noticed a quite big improvment when I lost 3 kg in 3 months. A part of that was actual improvement in the skills though as I trained a lot in that time. The way I see it, you will still get way stronger if you train at a higher body weight, but you might be able to perform more pullups etc. at a lower weight. I still find it more impressive if a heavy guy can do one arm pull ups or push ups than if a slim guy can do it. Also, there are exceptions. If you look at Jan Hojer for instance, he does one-arm pull ups with one finger at 80 kgs body weight. I would personally train at the body weight you feel the most comfortable at. To me, carrying a little muscle mass and being strong in absolute numbers is a part of being comfortable, so that's that.
+ClimbingCalisthenics Well said. I shall keep gaining weight untill I achieved my goal which is 75 KGs. If thats not comfortable i'll slim it down to 72-70. Thanks for your input lad!
***** I think you're right about the typical cutting/bulking mentality working not so well for calisthenics. However, I think the main reason might be related to technique changes during a bulk and having to change technique if your weight distribution and total weight as well as psychology. If you gain weight at the same rate that you gain strength, you will not be able to do more pull-ups or push ups, so it doesn't feel like you've progressed. What I must say though is that cutting is a lot of fun when you're doing calisthenics. You suddenly feel a lot of progress in your training and you suddenly look better too... :-)
Dang ... I usually get to around 2 pull ups and have to quick
BIG-time credit!!!!
Fortress Guy, how tall are you and how much do you weigh?
congrats!
How long has she been doing pull ups for?
51! This girl is super!
Congrats.

jxcess3891 stfu
I was expecting someone to shout 'Arnold!'
Just amazing !
she is so boss! I die on 40 ish usually :( congrats, girl!
So what was the previous record?
got that rock climber grip strength.
More of a demonstration of endurance then strength.
incredible, without even kipping the legs no real jerky movements, wow
This is INSANE. Woahh
Awe...Stan Getz. My idol! One of the greatest saxophonists ever.
In Finland pull-up competition u must keep ur grip, no fixing. Different rules different results. Very impressing video.
Why not?
@@ottomanpapyrus9365 If you watch rock climbers they will often rest hanging from one hand while shaking the other out. Being allowed to shift about on the bar does something similar. I have heard numerous reasons like getting lactic acid out or blood flow going. The male pullup record is 651 pullups, he did not let go of the bar the entire time, but was allowed to hang from one hand and shake the other one out. You can see guys like Tazio doing records and he can do far less reps if the grip is kept.
What is the music?
I thought Alicia Weber held that title still. Check out her records.
when a little girl is stronger than you will ever be. :"(
What was the previous record?
Well, I did not pull up to 30 times
damn man, whats her routine like?
Thats some strong lats and forearms right there,
does she play sacsofon
Your sister is boss! Working out to slow Jazz!
At 30, was amazed. By the end, I was hoping she'd do 60+.
beastmode, I remember when she did muscle ups on a vid
Impressive.. I'm going to go to the park today and see how many I can do.
+McClean Ben How many did you do?
daironification 10 lol.. Was hoping i could do about about 20.
McClean Ben Keep trying, aim for at least 1 extra pull up per week or so. I started with chin ups which helped A LOT!
daironification I did it the next day aswell.. but today (the third day) my muscles are sore. Should I rest and then do it again the next day?
I'll PM you and tell you what I did.
This the girl we saw doing push up a couple of years ago? Or she sat on your back whilst you were doing push ups? Something like that
wasn't that his sister
Yeah that is the same one
Very impressive
