Well actually the food poisoning and too short recovery time in 2010 really fucked up his voice. In comparison Tony Kakko who according to some people in RUclips comments "can't sing power metal anymore" and is "lot worse than Timo" was able to hit the high notes of The Power of One on the Ninth Hour tour.

are you serious man? Jens was already shredding with Silver Mountain and Rising Force when Janne and Alessandro were still in their proverbial diapers! And, for what it's worth, both cite him as one of their major inspirations and influences. Heck, Janne's tone and style in his 'Salieri trilogy' instrumentals, is an unmistakable testament to that!
I strongly suggest you check Jens' solo work esp. with his brother Anders. The whole of "The Last Viking" (featuring Mike Romeo of SymphX) as well as most of "Sonic Winter" (feat. Yngwie!) truly shine as perfect examples of his skilled musicianship and talent.

Erwin Crystal I agree with you. Stratovarius are actually these fab five. The "Classic" line up is just history. The other members left for different reasons. Let's enjoy this one, is still full of power. Yes, Timo's voice isn't the same as 20 years ago, but who can do the same performance after such a long time? I appreciate his fantastic timber anyway, he still has one of the best voices of heavy metal. And I love the perseverance he always puts in every gig, even after all these years. It's not for everyone. Chapeau!

WizardLarry Matias did his best to make some new things in the band. I think he did this quite well. Of course this is not that old Stratovarius, but they still make good music.

This is a cover band. Not a single original member. You've got Timo and Jens who are the only veterans and were around during some of their best albums/years - the classic lineup. Tolkki was the primary driving force behind that and built the band but he's been gone for 10 years. This is not Stratovarius, it's a band using the name Stratovarius.
