The news of Jörg's withdrawal in September 2011 was a shock for all Stratovarius fans. To say goodbye to a friend, hero and member who characterized the band's sound for over a decade, the band headed to a 5 show spanning Farewell Tour in Finland in November. Now you're able to enjoy one of Jörg Michael's last concerts with Stratvarius!

Timo is still great, but he is getting old, and people must respect this, we've known that his voice is not the same... everyone in this world have a down or limitations , be a athlete, a singer, a fighter, etc., when the age come... the important he continues to make music, and i thank him for make part of my life for a long time, so i prefer he sing less and stay with a good voice.
Bruce Dickinson have 56 years and sing like 80' era still.

K, so first off so sad about Jörg leaving! Secondly and in response to mr Cmatiask, I must agree on the fact that the crowd is not as enthusiastic as we might expect. Being Strato and all, and being in their home country. Although I tend to think that this is also a matter of production, I was thinking of maybe, Italy or Greece, or even Argentina or Brazil, but still is a matter of costs.. And once again it's about money (crap!)... That being said I love Strato!! Jörg I'll miss you!! :(((((
Well, you see, Finland is so used to power metal bands that they are practically immune to awesomeness, so you see this is the biggest reaction these people have given since the last time they saw Stratovarius. . . In fact this is probably the only band that gets any reaction at all from them.

Have YOU ever been to a metal gig in Finland. well, I have, and plenty of them, including festivals, and I can tell you the atmosphere there is anything but "cold"!
What is for you a "great" metal atmosphere at at gig? When people do mosh pit? stage dive? Disturb everyone else with their annoying behavior? well, here's a piece of news for you. finnish crowd is a bit more mature than that.
Is there the same venue where Nightwish recorded their "From Wishes To Eternity" DVD ?

If you know SA, then you know they were going to record in Milano, but that it was to expensive. Bottom line: production costs of the show. Also, a friend of mine who was at Oulu that night told me it was quite loud (no tanto como en Latino América) but the audio mix pretty much killed the crowd for some reason. From what I hear, this mix is a bit less "killing" to the crowd's screams.

Still amazing, but they blew the solo part... doesn't give me the chills that "Live Visions" version still gives me... :( I love Strato, don't get me wrong, Matias maybe can play Tolkki's songs and solos, but he can't invoke that feeling what Tolkki can. It's just a personal opinion, but I think that this isn't Strato anymore, more of a Kotivarius or Jennyvarius.

Crowd was way better than last SA live dvd. But still sucks. My fav dvd is Sonata's first dvd in Japan, they can appreciate good music there

He can't, that's the deal :) He should just focus on the songs from Polaris and Elysium, Tolkki's songs are still outside of his reach. Also, I would like to bash the current Stratovarius, because they just DON'T sound like Stratovarius, no matter what Kotipelto says, they DON'T sound like Stratovarius. Polaris and Elysium are a lot more of a SonArctica kind of music than Strato - there is no insane guitar playing, no wild solos, it's just pure technical and precise playing, there is no SOUL...

Love the band, the song, the soloing..but not the crowd. Then again, it's in Tampere, Finland...people must be freezing their duffs off under zero temps. I suggest recording a DVD live in L.A. not under any winter skies...how about under a real flaming sun in 90 degree heat???? C'mon! I DARE YOU GUYS... :)
