- Magnus Uggla is a Swedish artist, composer, actor, and occasional radio host. He is known for his satirical lyrics. Uggla was born in Stockholm. He was the lead singer of the hard rock band JUSO before going solo in the early 1970s. This is our reaction to his performance and interpretation of Olle Ljungström's song - Jag och min far.

Sujy lost her father in a motorcycle accident when she was around 12 years old. She was raised by her grand parents, this is why she talk more about them during the reaction. Her grand dad died around 1.5 years ago, the memories are still fresh. Thank you for the amazing suggestion!
We have 12 rescue dogs, including 1 with diabetes and partial blindness. All Channel Membership and Donations (Super Chat, etc), go toward her home treatment (insulin, diet, etc).

I'm really sorry to hear about her loss
I am so sorry for her loss, sending lots of love ❤️
we had this version at my father's funeral
I am sorry to hear that. 😢
I hear you. Longing and missing is the strongest feelings I think
😥 Sad to hear of your father's passing! Fortunately, they still remain in the memories.
This is a tribute to his father. He is singing about his fathers good lessons an pass ons.
Allthough there have been so many great, beautiful, and emotional performances in the history of this show, this is certainly the most powerful one.
I can't help myself from crying each and everytime I hear it. Although my father is still alive I think of him, what he have taught me, and how we listened to music together, and taught each other about our respective favorite music and band - almost exactly as Magnus is telling us through his lyrics.
Also I want to say, I'm so sorry for your loss - my condolences ❤
I’m sorry for your lost Sujy.❤️
Thank you for your reaction.
Very sorry for the loss. During Covid, a lot of people died with no family around. My friend lost his mom that way. She went to the hospital but due to restrictions she couldn't have visitors and she died alone.
Here Magnus Uggla sings this song in his own version to the songwriter who
sits on the end of the table. Its a swedish program.
❤
I lost my hubby suddenly 13 years ago and he was 52 years old and I was 45 years old and I am still single. Our two sons were 20 and 22 years old then and now we have a granddaughter Melinda who is 3 years old. We miss him dearly. 💕 To lose people we love is so hard and to live without them.
Remember that how hard it may to lose someone dear, it is a part of life to die. (I lost my mom and dad in the same year, 2020. 9 month apart. Their ages was 88 and 84 when they died.
The TV show this is from, is a show where different Swedish singers get together for a summer and do covers of each other's songs. Each episode focuses on one singer, where the singer decides on what they will do together and in the evening the other singers perform their version of the song they've chosen from that singer. Throughout it all they talk about music and life, about personal things that's happened that has affected and/or shaped them and affected their music. It's a really nice and emotional program, and many of the covers it results in end up playing a lot on radio. I feel like lyrics and meanings to songs are very important to Swedes. The reason I say this is because when you look at what songs become popular in Sweden obviously there's the international hits and catchy pop songs, but the majority of songs sung in Swedish that become popluar are songs where the lyrics are in focus and they're often very emotional or meaningful.
Thank you for this and your story!
Olle admitted his inspiration to this song was Bruce Springsteens Fathers house. I think the song is called that
I am sorry that you have this regret Sujy. Many of us wish we had been more present before someone passed away. Try to forgive yourself. I'm sure he knew you loved him.❤
If the text you translated was Olle Ljungström's text, Magnus's version was very different. He rewrote the lyrics to suit him and his father.
It was Magnus version. So many people commented about it while suggesting the song that I made sur of it, hehe!
Im so sorry for your loss❤ i think this song resonates with alot of us(not only those who have lost their fathers) we have all lost someone whether its a family member, friend or pet and it hurts but as long as we remember them and what they gave/taught us they are never really gone, they continue living in us.
"No one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away, until the clock wound up winds down, until the wine she made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone’s life is only the core of their actual existence." -Terry Pratchett
God bless, you are not alone having those feelings. I think it´s a part of being a human being. Sometimes we make these mistakes and it haunts us ever after, but that does not mean we are bad peolpe, just human.
You should continue with James Blunt - Monster (official video) are a song like this, and its even tougher too listen too because its authentic and real which you will see of his expressions while singing. Not edited at all (its about his father was going too die from kidneydisease and he wrote the song)
I love you guys.. :)
So sad to hear about your grandfather. ❤️
I always get emotional myself hearing that song.
Some other suggestions from Så mycket bättre.

Sorry for your father's passing Sujy. I know how it feels, my dad passed away In cancer 2019. Miss him everyday. Edit: Olle's father was not dead when he wrote the song. But now Olle has been dead for A couple of years❤
We both read the Magnus Uggla lyrics version. The one where he went home and that day his dad died at the hospital. Sujy dad died when she was 12, her grand dad died 1.5 years ago.
@@MaxSujyNordenI am sorry for your losses Sujy! 😢❤
