Good question. In my opinion on these carburetors it’s easier and faster for the common home owner to just slap a new one on there. Then you have confidence knowing you have a new carburetor that the float and solenoid are working correctly. The replacement carburetors they make for these are great in my opinion. So I’d rather use my time to put a new one on and be done then mess around with the old one that may fail again on me. Thanks for the question.

Hey thanks for the question. I use to take off the engine cover and do it that way which is a fine way to do it. But in this video I wanted to show the easiest and fastest way to do it. I find this way to be that way, less bolts to take off this way. I’ve saved tons of time doing it this way now. But if it’s easier for you to do it with the plastic off then that’s great to.

Removing the engine cover would make replacing the carburetor easier and provide a better viewing experience for those watching the video.

I would have put the gas filter behind the fuel shut off just to help keep the crap out of the carb

Take the plastic cover off the motor
