Indian food is my favorite food! Those all looked so good! I was suprised willa was eating the butter chicken and liked it 😀I definitely hope to see you guys enjoying a dosa.
You 3 are awesome!! I really appreciate seeing how you make all these experiences with your adorable daughter.:-) I've just recently discovered your channel via your Switzerland videos (I'm Swiss). And I agree, the culinary options in London are awesome!!
Love your food reviews. I want to try some good Indian food now... You are so good with the details of what you are tasting. Give Willa a big hug and keep on tasting 😃. Thanks for sharing!
Many years ago in London I had "Tandoori mixed grill" the first time ever in my life (actually indian food for the first time). Since then I can die for it. On a motorcycle tour through England and Scotland in 2016 I persuaded my accompaniing friend to have Tandoori mixed grill every fu***** day of that trip. That was fun!
So pleased you enjoyed the Indian food in London. Many "Indian" restaurants in Britain are run by Bangladeshis but there are a number of excellent South Indian restaurants in London, producing some of the best vegetarian dishes. You should also try out some Nepalese food, their restaurants often run by former Gurkhas on retirement from the British Army.
If you want to enjoy authentic Indian food in London, you have to go to Southall (close to Heathrow Airport) or Wembley (Ealing Road). I also recommend visiting Neasden Temple (BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir) close to Ikea (Brent Park, North Circular Road, not too far away from Wembley). Absolutely stunning! We used to go there every so often, when we still lived in England, and took our friends from abroad to visit. Southall is more Northern Indian (mainly Punjabi). There you can also find the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, one of the biggest Sikh temples (gurdwaras) outside India. It's marvellous for shopping for 22Kt jewellery and clothes (Salwar Kameez, Saris, etc.)
I totally like Indian food in London. When I was there we had a small restaurant where barely two tables and the oven fit in right outside of our bed‘n‘breakfast. It is still the best Indian food I ate in my life. But as you mentioned there are not that many options to get Indian food in Germany. Out of the top of my head I just remember two restaurants which are 20 to 40 km away from where I‘m living. Probably in the big cities there are more options, but definitely not in some rural areas. Here you get Italian and Turkish food and that‘s fine. But some more variety would be nice.
I know that Harrod's is a bit high end but just SEEING all the zillions of food options from all over the world in that Food Hall is an amazing experience! Great that you had fun indulging in London's Indian food options. You're by no means the first Westerners to enjoy Indian food. Queen Victoria herself adored it in her last years and, the staffs in her palaces were relieved when she died because that meant they could go back to cooking ONLY English dishes! Willa sure is becoming cosmopolitan via you're showing her all these locales and cuisines! Great work!
Lol, you guys are an adorable family. BTW the dahi puri is to be eaten in one bite, that's the true spirit of that dish. Try south Indian food all day. That just might surprise you.
Ahh… you must go to Brick Lane for authentic Indian food in London. Looks like you did well and enjoyed it, but that’s the place to go. How funny (and understandable!) your reaction to Harrods! I used to live up the toad from Harrods and buy the most amazing brownies there. It’s literally the most expensive shop in London. The owner’s son is the poor man who was Diana, Princess of Wales boyfriend and who died with her. Willa was adorable, they way she was really concentrating on the cruffin. And you were so funny - I thought you were concerned about the health consequences, when you said, it’s covered in sugar, and then BAM, you took a huge bite!!! Lol!!!
Absolutely the Brick Lane area of London for the best variety and choices of different Indian food types. Plus, so many restaurants all competing with each other, you can get really good deals and 'specials'... 👍🇬🇧
my best bro & my best sis my niece so cute happy indian independence day to you 🇮🇳🇬🇧 thank you for your huge respect against cpec friendship countries lot of love from your best bro viki 💙
A Cruffin? I remember, some years ago there was a trend coming from New York to the bakeries in Hamburg and everybody wanted a Cronut (mixture of Crossaint and Donut). But it did not last very long.
The best Indian food in Germany I found so far was in Hamm. The city itself is not exactly pretty and definitely no Tourist destination, but since the early 2000s it has the 2nd largest Hindu Temple in Europe, with some very good Indian and Tamil restaurants in its vicinity.
Hmm... the wife knows her Indian food well. Hope the lovely family visits India. Beware of scams and research before you come so you are not overwhelmed
I am from Kolkata. British had a capital before the Independence in Calcutta. My grandfather had came before the partition of Bengal to Kolkata. Its fascinating you are eating Kathi roll. Awesome 👍
I hope this doesn’t sound weird, but I‘m really happy to see you having fun with the people at the pride event. 🏳️🌈 I love your channel and you seem to be such wonderful people. But as a queer and non-religious person, I wondered about your feelings towards the LGBTQ+ community when you talked about your faith. I‘m not surprised about your positive attitude, but it’s still great to know that some of my favourite RUclipsrs are queer-friendly.
Hi Sila! Thanks for the nice comment ❤️. Honestly, that was one of the highlights from our trip in London was having that small group come and poke their heads into our video! We want to show love to everyone, no matter what 😊. We’re so happy to have you here part of our online community! 🏳️🌈
when i was in Memphis the chinese restaurant didnt have sweet sour pork , weird......its like grocery store not having onions or potatoes or something :P@@OurStorytoTell
CSDs are always fun, theres so much love and peace involved wherever such a parade is happening. posi vibes! and man that dahi puri looked awesome. I never seen it in any indian restaurant... hope I will soon. or if you ever see it anywhere in germany, pls share it :D
I think the additional charge to heat up the food comes from the UK tax system which charges an additional amount for hot convenience food relative to food intended to be taken home by the buyer.
Yeah we actually don’t know statistics about how many Indian restaurants there are compared to other countries, but we 100% agree with your last statement!! We love it so much! 😋
Cruffins looked so delicious never seen them before Great video not an indian food fan ( don’t like hot spices ) But li looked tast all the same 😜 Have a great week 🥰
Why don't you try very mild, creamy style curries? So much variety and many are not 'blow your head off' hot! Most Indian restaurants will happily cater to your taste, so maybe worthwhile, just a thought...
I spent over a year in London and had a hard time finding a decent restaurant, where a customer got a decent value for his money. I found Indian restaurants not a bad choice in acountry which is known for making bad meals out of good ingredients.
I don't know when you lived in London, or Britain, but your comment on the quality of the food is no longer true. Certainly, London restaurants can be expensive but that is often the case with large cities that attract plenty of tourists.
Guess, your most critical gourmet person still count the differnt tastes into sweet, like icecream, chocolate or down to the base of tomatoes or nuddle taste. Hard to convince her for different spices. Is she already to much germanized or just only know european food in general. Please work on it so one day she also will appreciate all kind of different cuisine. Btw, the first seconds when she immediately refused to take a bite and taste from Tanner, I thought: typically german or like the german phrase: Was der Bauer nicht kennt,, das isst(frisst) er nicht :-D Unfortunately I dont have the chance to try indian food so often. Seems you felt like heaven. Good for you.
Just subbed... you are such a friendly family. But Harrods for a 'takeaway meal' - WOW! If in Central London, a well known 'secret' place to go and eat (that ALL local office workers, nurses at the nearby training hospital and similar KNOW); and has been since 1920 (but moved a few times since then, especially after being hit by a German bomb during WW2); is the Indian YMCA Restaurant. It's a 'school canteen' style, which is open to the public (for breakfast, lunch and dinner). Located on Fitzroy Street (near Fitzroy Square), the menu changes, often daily, is staffed by Indian chefs and is excellent value (as it also caters to the hotel/hostel students on budgets and is thus subsidised!). Well worth a try, if in the area and you don't mind going back to the 'grab a tray', pick your own dishes and share tables mentality. I've been popping in for many years. You can Google Indian YMCA Restaurant menus E.G. August 2022 - Set breakfast for just £6.50... and unlimited free glasses of water if you can't take the 'heat' - Yum! Yum! 😎👍 🇬🇧
Seriously you go to a very exspensive market to try indian food you need to go to a indian takeaway to experience a proper tikka masala and real nan bread sorry you need to try real english food from the takeaways not the london restaurant
We love Indian food but we cook it at home with less spicy options 😅 🙃 Hugs from a fellow family from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 🤗 ❤
