    I really enjoyed this. Especially like the last 20 seconds/last page, sounds beautiful and not of this world

    Hang on, you might be right!
    The next high note is A flat, and it sounds as if the pianist went up only one tone to play the A flat. So she did play a G flat! Weird...
    Anyway, thanks for your comment (and I apologise for replying rather rudely to your previous comment!)

    1:40 I think the ending should not be a diminuendo

    There is a white key at 1:20!!! I thought this piece was called black key. And i believe that’s the only white key in this piece

      i believe i saw many natural accidental markings throughout the piece tho

    if it wasn't for this sheet I was sure the tempo revolved around 240 bpm (or more precisely relying on the sheet 232bpm)

    i mean if you really think about it it's just eighth notes on the left hand sixteenth notes on the right

    Maybe the performer didn't want to bother to change from an E to a G and so just played the E as a G...? Or maybe her sheet music was a different edition to the one shown here (this is the Klindworth Edition (Bote & Bock issue), Vol. 2). Oh well...

  • @floppaboppa

    I don't know... It sounds different compared all the other versions I can find on youtube. And on my sheet music, the note in the 49th measure is the same b flat as in the 1st, 5th, 9th, 13th, and 53rd.

  • @quequitoAR
    @quequitoAR 4 года назад +2

    Ok, the piano doesn't have a good sound, and there's the issue of the edition (I've been told Mikulik's one is the best). But the clear, articulated execution seems exactly fit for this study, far from grandiloquent others.

  • @danedaworld

    actually its how its supposed to be played, i compared the note to the notes on the sheet music. its right =D

  • @tomekkobialka
    @tomekkobialka  15 лет назад +2

    It's actuall an E-FLAT, not an E! Yes, and it's not a G; I don't know why it's meant to be a G (flat!) anyway.

    @fwcraigslist Sadly, she is playing a pleyel from Chopins time. I find this a disgrace, being that she tries to "reproduce" the sound chopin had during his time. But I think she fails to understand that a 200 year old instrument wont sound the way it sounded 200 years ago.

    I love this piece, though.

    Terrific playing, but why does the treble sound so shallow?

  • @floppaboppa
    @floppaboppa 15 лет назад

    Haha, I definitely don't have perfect pitch. But I've been listening to the piece so many times by know that I thought I recognised a note that seemed to be completely wrong. You don't agree?

    Your edition is incorrect, it is in fact a Gb instead of the Eb shown in your edition. Performer plays it correctly.

      @@ForeverFall Shes right though. Not that it matters much but the marked tempo is 116bpm while this is around 100-105 (measures with metronom)
