Truly, very kind words Mr. Dobbs. It's been such a journey these past 6 months, the bike is almost secondary now. The number of kind hearted folk and new friends we have met from this is far more important. DGR here we come!

Hi Freddie yes I to have been watching Joe rebuild your Bonnie it will look amazing ...keep it clean dude you have are getting back a truly amazing looking bike ...I will be keeping an eye on you keeping it clean 😊
15 or more years ago I used to go down to Newquay as much as I possibly could, every holiday, every bank hol, I just loved it and wanted to get down there at every opportunity as a surfer to ride those waves. Being there was a world away from my corporate life in London and I just could not wait to be there. But life gets in the way and I didn't go for years! However in the intervening years I have become a biker! Now you have inspired me to get back down there and support Protect 83 and Ride to Defy. Thanks Freddie for some excellent ideas....oh those drunken nights in Sailors, it's all coming back to me!!! hehehe! love the channel, don't ever stop Freddie, we need you !!!!
I am watching this from my small tent in the middle of Namib Desert (riding my KTM 1190 Adv R on an Africa expedition ) and excited to see the restored Bonnie - been following The Wurx with Joe.

Another great chilled Sunday video. Project 83 looks awesome, really looking forward to the bike reveal, Joe & Emily have been doing srerliing work 👏👏👏👏
I will be there for the reveal. Traveling up on my Triumph Speedmaster from Salisbury the night before. Can’t wait to see you reunited with the Bonnie 😊
I had a VFR800 in the same colour scheme as that. Loved that bike and a real head turner, always had nice comments from other bikers and the public. When you got it over 6,800rpm it sounded glorious but you could watch the bars on the fuel gauge disappear rapidly. I called it the stormtrooper for obvious reasons 😅
Note the „Do not feed the Seagulls“ sign, very important if you‘ve never been to Cornwall. Thanks for taking us along Freddie, think I‘ll also go for a ride. Lovely weather here in Düsseldorf 😉
Wise words- the seagulls will snatch anything they can, they definitely don’t need feeding😆 I hope you had a good ride and sending my best over in Düsseldorf🤘🏼🤘🏼
Recently found your channel - stumbled across it through Joe’s channel whilst looking for some ‘hope’ with my own bonneville that had effectively ‘died’ many times in the last two years. Sadly it is no more, it hurt deeply to let it go - but a 2000 Bonnie has arrived in my possession last week and I’m ridiculously excited about it. I’m also just outside of Tamworth and have been signed up to the DGR for a while now, hopefully I can say ‘hi’ to both you and Joe and let you know in person how much I’ve enjoyed your channels in the last few weeks.
Hey Freddie....went to Pandora pub on your recommendation and food was excellent....also the twisty roads from st ives where we were staying to lands end.....just back in Lincs after 3 wet days......unfortunately the weather was not with us ...the sun must shine on the righteous I say!!! great video of Project 83........we should all aspire to create something like that place...... thanks
Best part of the week is when yourself and Joe upload, cant wait for the reveal wish I could get there. Bet your cant wait, all the best and hope your still enjoying Cornwall! As a foot note, passed my mod 1! Just the mod 2 to go in a few weeks!
Thank god your posting your stories Freddie as they have given me hours of pleasure , I love your just do it attitude and except whatever happens can happen, please keep it up.I myself have recently had a health scare and decided to do a road trip from Scotland to Spain which was always in my head for the last 30years , so come what may it’s going to happen, so if you have any tips or advice please fill me in , all the best for the future and keep up the good work
Loving the videos Freddie! Having been born and raised in Bodmin, great to see my native land from a bike, rather than a rental car! (I live in upstate New York now) PS Loved the India/Sri Lanka series - superb!
Perfect start to my grey wet Gloucestershire Sunday morning....thanks Team FD,! Btw you and M should get yourselves over to the Cotswolds soon for a short road trip...maybe pop in to Watsonian up near Moreton - in - Marsh....enjoy the return of your Bonny soon!
Looks good, I am down in Mevagissey so will give that a go, the one I go to is at the Bearded Brewery nr Newquay Airport, every Tuesday evening with live music from 6.30 to 9.30
Ohh Freddie, so looking forward to see your reaction to seeing your phoenix Bonneville so lovingly brought back from the dead by Joe & Emily! I wish I could be there for that momentous occasion ⭐️ Joe & Ems have done an incredible job bringing the Bonneville to an as new condition. I was meaning to sponsor you on the DGR, but I thought Ems was probably feeling a bit left behind 👌
It's nice to see venues for bikers to go to, I wonder what the 83 denotes?. Really looking forward to see the unveiling of the Bonneville. I've been watching Joe's progress with it, Bet you can't wait!.
83 is the year that Gillan (owner) was born, the Project part refers to the multitude of projects that are always on the go, whether it be building bikes or creating the new biker hang out.
I would have asked one those hairy bikers what that custom machine was. It looked like a cross between an old Goldwing and an industrial lawn mower, lol........
Great to see you there the other night Freddie. And my Cub made it in! Enjoy the last few days down here, mate, and can’t wait for the Bonny’s return in the next couple weeks!
We are hopefully going to be at Tamworth Triumph for the unveiling. We were subscribers of Joe before he undertook the work on your bike. It does look impressive what he's done and he also showed less impressive work done to that Bonneville engine by previous so-called mechanics. Hope Joe's shakedown run goes well and that your refreshed bike proves reliable.
I was watching Louis Theroux yesterday in the 90's thinking that I liked his jacket which is very similar to yours here. I must have one. Awesome. I will see you there at this show Freddie. Ride safe. :)
Would love to come up to Tamworth DGR, but am without bike ATM 😢 (i know right!). Might have to scrounge or borrow. Been great watching Joe's progress with the Bonnie.
Just a heads up, be VERY careful when riding a motorcycle in Cornwall. A significant number of local drivers need a guide dog as do a significant number of tourist drivers. (The death/injury rate of motorcyclists has got frankly scary. Be safe out there.)
There didn't seem to be a lot of traffic when I watched the videos?? I am surprised that is happening. I hope Freddy has a camera on the back of his bike as well.
@@Dan-xx5jq The death/accident rate of motorcyclists in Cornwall is ridiculously high for the last two years. I am in dispute with Devon and Cornwall police because they are giving the impression it is all the motorcyclists fault. I now in the height of the tourist season unless I am going to and from a motorcycle rally out of Cornwall to a motorcycle rally keep my motorcycling to a minimum. Don't think a lack of traffic makes it safe. It doesn't due to the appalling standard of driving and mad/bad drivers.
@@TheBuckspygmy I live in West Cornwall and driving standards have definitely deteriorated. Especially in the tourist season. I think it must be post pandemic syndrome. 😉
Hi Freddie, just going off the subject, what camera set up are you using. Can you do a video on the pros and cons of video motor blogging. Thanks great video as usual!
Hey Freddie I came across this while watching a motorcycle vlog the other day, a couple were stopped in Wales by the Police whilst on their bikes, in their interrogation they revealed they were vloggers, after all the checks trying to find something illegal which he did, no kite mark on the number plate he also asked about their insurance as insurance for social, domestic, and pleasure riding isn't the correct cover if you're a vlogger earning from your uploaded vlogs on RUclips, you will need insurance that includes commuting. How accurate this is I don't know but vloggers just be aware. Ride safe.
I watched this video and yes that Cop was on a mission to find something to give them a ticket for! He pulled them for riding too slow!!!! Regarding insurance for using a camera to record your travels, what about the amount of dashcam footage from cars thats uploaded every day and the police appeals for footage about incidents? As for telling the cops anything about what you are doing if you are pulled.... don`t! Just answer the questions they ask politely and dont offer any information they don`t need. Camera on board? Yep you record your travels in case of any incidents, they have no right to ask what you do with the recordings :-) As far as i can tell this falls into the Privacy and Data protection act and is not a Road Traffic Offence.
The P83 nights look like a blast, I'm definitely heading down soon. I wanted to go to the one you were at to say hi but sadly that evening it was raining over in East Cornwall where I'm at. Next time!
