Been awhile since I've really gotten into the walleye. I fish pool 9 of the Mississippi mostly and we were killing the perch but lately it's been the brown bullheads and an occasional walleye. Looked like a great day out on the boat.
Gregory Gofuckurself it’s funny how the river goes through stages throughout the spring. I have fished that a little in the past. Each system fishes a little different. Typically the Mississippi pools 8 and 9 that I have fished have a ton of current and I struggle. Good luck to you.
There are some things to run into in any part of the wisconsin river. Its hard to tell in the spring when the water is up and really pushing downstream. I was with Noah this day and he tends to follow the same path up.
Those flies worked great for you thanks for sharing all your great tips to a struggling apprentice to the walleye game! Would you say the spawn is on or over on the Wisconsin river?thanks in advance
When catch and release shouldn'tt you be careful of placing your hands in the gills?
How can I get some walleye hair jigs
I believe two separate hooks on the same rod counts as 2 lines in Wisconsin.
Wolf river rig one handle with a little more help! Is ingenious.
I see your launching at the VFW launch. I've had a few 200 walleye days there.
