I rember they recalled the first blu ray release so you didn't miss much Andrew. Lol. I owned the pocket blu version which was supposed to be better and the arrows from the fired crossbows for some reason wasn't lit with fire on the first release. It was a strange strange release
Newer films are shot digitally. Just like recording a video on your phone does not involve any actual film. Movies shot digitally have pixels, film does not, that is why movies shot with film and then transferred to 4k typically look better.
I'd rather have grain that the picture be softened by dnr. I've just ordered this following this review. Thank you.

It was cool. But the lack of real low end bass spoiled it for me The Blu-ray sounded fuller
