As with Kubrick, 4K discs really show up the beauty of Ridley Scott's films. The only sad thing about Gladiator? The last film of the great Oliver Reed.
I know that there’s going to be a gladiator 2 coming out this year and since I watch the trailer the trailer looks good and Denzel Washington is joining the cast of gladiators 2 and 1 thing where is the universal pictures logo in this sequel
Fantastic movie I remember watching this at the drive in like 6 times wen it came out I bought this on 4k wen it came out but I’m sadden to say I haven’t seen it on 4k yet but I’ll watch it tonight
The bad thing about this is it doesn't have the original 2.0 surround sound which is only on the original d.v.d release. The 3 disc d.v.d director's cut also does not have that. Just the 5.1 sound.
Do you prefer Spartacus or Gladiator? Both are enjoyable to me. I like the dialogue and plot of Spartacus a little better; Gladiator gets the benefit of modern video/audio though.
This is the first 4k movie on my Panasonic DP-UB820 that does not remembering where the Movie Stopped. It starts up the same every time. Anyway to solve this problem? I was hopping that this problem with some 1080 blurays would have been fixed on 4k disc. Never had this problem on a DVD.

Watched the extended version of the film in 4k, very good.

Gald they did the 4k disk proper, this movie was a reference DVD back in the day when having a OG DTS 5.1 track was a big deal.

I thought the 4K disc with HDR and all was very dim
Thats basically HDR, it dims the overall image with specific stuff being brightened. Watching HDR in a pitch black room is MANDATORY
