I'm definitely planning on building one of these. The quality of the parts is impressive, fits together beautifully, smooth belly. Seems to have a great balance. I don't think that it does some things as well as some of the other chassis out there, but those (such as the athos) seem to excel uphill but not down. Maybe I'm wrong, but this rig seems more balanced all around. I've definitely seen some not so great reviews on performance, and when i drove one it seemed to need a different driving style and a bit of tuning to get it right. As I've said before, i really wish they would have made the bed shorter, that annoys the crap out of me. I think I'll get one, but will end up chopping the bed off. Again, beautiful fit'n'finish, definitely will be my next build. Just finishing up a Killr chassis/X15/furi-torpedo build. Thanks for the crawl session and narration!
I'd rate the performance of this rig over the Hard Park Dementor but nowhere near as capable my Albin 24. I've only had issues with the stock CV shafts of the Super 8 axles. It's all about learning how it drives and being able to use/not use how it's weighted. That was one of the first things I noticed is how well it's balanced. It's the design, itself. In my experience in this hobby, I ignore a lot of what reviewers say in terms of personal performance expectations. Every truck has its qualities and faults. Performance reviews are subjective. Versus simple feature reviews are more direct and let you know what you're getting. They don't try and tell you, based upon some form of personal criteria, how that truck will perform in YOUR situation. Performance reviews are so dependent upon every single variable there is. Those variables don't always exist from user to user. Performance is subjective. I've seen people build these and try and sell them on the LGRP FB page after running them once, claiming they can't do anything. So, yeah. Review-watcher beware. The only problem with chopping the bed is that you lose the rear hinge function. If that doesn't matter, you can cleave that right off. I've found that the plastic bumper helps me skid it on lines but the overall length is a pain at times but not a deal breaker for me.
@@VermontScaleCustoms well said, and thank you for the excellent reply! That all made a lot of sense. Have a great week, and don't stop the great narration, always appreciated while watching.
@@VermontScaleCustomsokay, I've made up my mind, in going to have to get one of these. ATM I'm finishing my Killr chassis build, and have committed to a gooseneck trailer build (4x4 trailer with it's own ESC & 180 motor & trans, matching motor & trans on the tow-rig, a true 4x4 trailer!) using a 6x6 carbon chassis w/ all metal everything, converting that 6x6 to a trailer. Should be fun! So it's a bit before i can get to the LGRP build. Question: The Super8 have wider shock mount locations, they say it may cause issues trying to use a different set of axles on the Comp Chassis... Would there be problems putting HardPark axles on the LGRP Comp Chassis? Those HardPark axles just seem so badass, seems like it would be awesome to have those axles on this rig. What do you think?
I noticed the Hard Park shock mount points were wider which caused me to have to space the uppers all the way around. Kind of a pain. I can see making them wide but it's almost like they went wider for no reason. I think with the Comp frame and HP axles, you might need a tiny spacer but nothing too serious. Injora makes a really nice spacer kit for m1.4 and it's pretty cheap on Amazon.
Thanks! Much appreciated. Yeah, that LGRP is a sweet little truck. Those backgrounds came from Amazon. Search for reptile cage backgrounds. You can use different photography backgrounds as well but they were more expensive. Thanks for the comment!✌️
1;54 so tough that’s a chassis hanger! Man that thing looks so sick coming at the camera! You ever band your rigs…or you just tune shocks good enough to work well? I could see this beast on big steeps wanting to be to max perform…very nice driving dude!
I meant what I said about a job sounds funny, but I’m always looking….not too back breaking for masonry especially lots of nice real thin veneer in foundations and fireplaces for ultra rich people for most part. Dusty lots of rock cutting to make fit perfect. But Acadia Nat park is endless sick lines!!!
Yeah, I really like the way this thing looks on camera. I have not tried limiters on this yet. I should probably check those out some day. I like how the front end doesn't torque out on climbs, it seems to keep itself pretty planted.
Yeah, tbh, I don't really want to go back to doing electrical. It's a 10-11 year career to pack up and leave behind, though. I was doing pretty well in Vermont but I'm currently not making anything as a caregiver for my mom, so I'll definitely be needing to do something. I just have no idea when that time will come. It could be a while.
Yeah, this is a sick truck, no doubt. They'll set you back to build but they're worth it. This thing will outdo my C24 all day long. Clearly not as big but way more capable. Thanks, yeah, the course rearrangement was key.
@@VermontScaleCustoms Yea i want that scx24 next. Not real fond of the bigger scales. Biggest i would get would be the WPL B14 i think it is. 4x4 Military with open bed an Not the Flat nose one. 6x6 maybe even. My Ultimate plan would be to get scx24 Gladiator and build it but keep it some what scale like my wpl. Been want a jeep body rig hehehe
Comp24 is wider than stock SCX24. My immediate thought is that the shock towers would be too wide. I've also never tried to mount anything other than the XFactor cage and body on it so I really couldn't say for certain.

Great little machine 👍 💪🤩
Thank you! One of my top five in my collection. Sweet truck!
Hello,
I really liked your video again!👍
Greetings Seven🖖
Thank you for the never ending support, Seven!🖖😎 🥂
That backdrop makes your course look SICK 😍😍🔥🔥 Sick build too! Where did you get the backdrop? I'm building my own crawling course too.

Sweet course love your rig it’s pretty capable I’m a Toyota guy so I love the body so you get my subscription 😊🤘✌️
Definitely one of my top 2 24 scale rigs. Things are beats, for sure. Thanks for the sub!
