It's cool they did this upgraded version. I don't mind the Sandvik of the budget version. It's one of if not my favorite of the budget steels, but 20CV is definitely better steel, and I'm a fan of titanium scales. I have another $50 off reward at Knife Center so I'm considering it. I wish they had kept the hollow grind on this version though. The choice of going to a flat grind doesn't make sense to me. That was one of the best aspects of the budget versions. Just a minor nit pick though. I'm sure it's still a slicer. They do a good job on their flat grinds too.
Sandvic 14C28N is pretty much the best budget stainless steel for knives. 20CV is considered a premium stainless steel. 14C28N and 20CV are not even close to being in the same class. But, that's why knives with 14C28N cost significantly less than 20CV.
