I got a lot of nice daggers and fighting knives in my collection. I keep my OSS in my nightstand. Its a lot of blade. Very confidence inspiring. Its also a very good looking knife. Kinda looks like a small saber sword with the clip point and curved handle.

I know this is an older video, but stumbled across it. When I was in law enforcement I went through a few of the stainless body older police knives with the VG10. If you pry things, it will break! I always had full serrated version. I just recently just purchased the sprint run of the Military 2 in Carbon fiber and S90V. About the same size as the Police as well. 👍🤠

I tried 3 of these from Smoky Mountain knife works I returned two of them because everyone had problems. First one the auto latch wouldn't stay latched, the blades in two others were rubbing on the handles and not in good alignment. Also the edge grind on one was horrible. I don't think they have strict tolerance checks on these. Very disappointed as at first glance they look great. Maybe SMKW got a bad batch, but I went with a boker instead at $60 that seemed to have much better consistency that the $180 + bear song.

Well, if cheaper knives seem cheap to you, what do you expect? The problem with many knives today is not that they are affordable, but that so many are overpriced.

I own several Yojimbo 2 knives and the Microjimbo, and they are great, but the Canis is special in the hand, but the Vallotton is my EDC these days.

I was able to buy a DLT Trading Exclusive Yojimbo 2. It has a CPM-20CV blade and tan G10. If I remember correctly, that was in July or August of this year. I haven't been much attention to it but I decided to carry it today. Actually, it's been out of its' box since last night. I've been into 4" blades the last few months so even though I bought it, I haven't carried it much. Maybe I should take it with me more often.

After havein it fera year,would ya buy another one or spend yer money ona differnt edge?and I always carry at least one karambit....love it.great review,I think I need one,just not shure..

Clip makes no sense, no pocket is deep enough. Pin is also useless. I took off both.

So you want the hole exposed more for easy deployment, but deep pocket clip for harder deployment? And you said it yourself, adding a wave, or moving the hole out takes away from the thumb ramp. And it already has too little handle for you so how else do you expose the whole if you don’t take handle material away? You literally said the ergos are so good you don’t like them. Just say you have a preconceived notion not to like the knife lol. I’ve never heard so many contradictions so fast into a video.

Pepper spray and a knife is a formidable combination. If your attacker has been sprayed in the eyes and is still pressing the attack, it is almost impossible for the attacker to see the knife and block it or see to disarm you.

I recently rounded off the handle to my Frontier. Took about 30 minutes with a knife and sandpaper, followed by some wax furniture polish. It feels great now. I'm considering putting some Loctite on the screws, to prevent loosening.

Bought my Rat Bastard 4 years ago, I had them put the Copper finish on it, looks incredible! I also got the leather sheath custom made in a Dangler instead of scout carry, it's just too long for that. I live in Montana, at the time mine was in my hands in 3 weeks. I like to carry a larger size serrated pocket knife everyday, (Spartan with the green G10 handle) its great for heavier cutting chores around the yard and clearing paths or gathering material for Bushcraft. You're definitely right about it being more trouble than it's worth it to get out for every day a small tasks in a public space. You might take a look at the cold steel Lucky ,.I carry it as a companion knife with my larger one. it's a small discreet folder with a plain and a serrated blade .it's great for any tasks where you want some real cutting power but don't want a flash a attention getting knife.

I found this in a pawn shop for 13 dollars. For the price I got it for I think it is a steal.

It is very nice but the sandwiched metal on blade is like why? Its a cheap out I do hv the spyopera with thor damasteel why not use that? Its plenty hard and all one piece.

Mine just got delivered today (07/25/2024). It's a DLT Trading Exclusive. CPM-20CV with tan G10. It's still not drop-shut. I need to snap close it a little bit but it's very smooth. I noticed the Spyder hole is quite sharp. With this knife, I'll try to break it in naturally. I won't put oil on the pivot and neither will I touch the pivot screws.
