Awesome to see a VL on the northeastern line for once
Yeah it never happens these days! It ran the rice train from Deni a few times and one Apex and that's about it.
That empty grain train had the most variation of locomotives in one consist that I have ever seen!
SSR are well known for this. It's a popular train as anything and everything can turn up on it.
Another great video , I really enjoy your work
Awesome content as usual :)
Great video and information! Cheers.
Thanks Jim. Nice to hear from you!
Awesome video!!!
Thanks for having a look
Pretty fast ay. Good vid mate, keep it up💪🏼🚂🇦🇺
Fast by Australian standards anyway
@@Schony747 still pretty quick. A few of them
@@Schony747 I’m back to watch this again. I thought I’d say that I am aussie too (my comment looks very American
Love how you film the whole of each train.
The SSR loco combination (six locos) has to be pick of the bunch.
Good to see plenty of loading on the SM at the end.
SSR is always a great catch. I film the whole train but don't always include it. Depends on the video and content.
For some reason, those grain trains remind me a little of the long departed Southern Pacific sugar beet trains. Must be the horn on the lead locomotive.
The 1st train was a works train for Bunbury tunnel project , I did pilot it into and out off occupation at West footscray to nth dynon
I wondered what that was for. Thanks for looking and sharing the info. I'll see you at my regular Airport West hack spots 😀😀
Great collection of clips, first train push/pull Qube job didn't look "infrastructure" to me, container flats, ore wagons and ending with more empty container flats. Trust SSR to provide variety, cracking lash up on the grain, great catch there. Your Sony AX53 does a great job Brenden, are you using a tripod or handheld as stability is excellent? Thank you, good job.
Notice at the beginning there's one of those radar activated "Your speed is" electronic signs that seemed to be getting rather excited. I wonder if it was picking up the speed of the train? ☺
What an awesome lashup that is at 4:55!
I can't believe that you Australians are still running F-series locomotives. Here in North America, those things were retired about 35 years ago!
@@alexclement7221 The lead locomotive in that line up isn't an F-series locomotive, only the streamlined nose was based on that iconic design. As built, it was comparable to the SD40 which is of around the same vintage. They were completely rebuilt in the early 90s, with refurbished engines, upgraded electronics, and a modern cab layout.
@@alexclement7221 Waste not, Wont not.
Awesome
fast trains australia dream on
Fast freight trains by Australian standards anyway. We can dream on but you're right, it probably won't happen.
Goodday Brendan,
Great video, it seems only PN knows how to move a combo fast along those tracks everyone else seems to cruise at half the speed.
Great camera work.
Cheers
Louis 👍
I've noticed some crews do take a cautious approach over the bridge until they can see the next signal at Glenroy.
@ 6:37-> the 'Blinky Bill' on the back of that grain train doesn't appear to be working.
Nice catch mate
Nice video is that spot a popular spot for filming trains?
Popular for me not for alot of people.
Great video, wish I had a larger screen! What's the speed through the curves?
It varies but normally around 80km per hour.
These vid look great on a smart TV. Many new TVs have RUclips built in.
How do you manage to catch so many trains during daylight hours? Whenever I look up the ARTC Master Train Plan, they're all running either after sunset or before dawn, and even when there are ones scheduled during the day, they often don't show up.
Facebook tracking groups keep everyone updated. It's really handy.
What's with CLF3, i can't believe there is an old EMD still in operation. Is it fully retrofitted or something? Like just the body shell being original? I'd imagine it would have a different drive line and cabin interior by now?
CLF and CLP were rebuilt or upgraded from the CL class back in the 1990s. The GM class and S class are 70 years old and still running around with SSR as well
@@Schony747 they are gorgeous locos. Shame they were never continually upgraded elsewhere. But makes sense to do new designs i guess
Correct me if I'm wrong but this location looks like the abutments of the old road bridge.
That's correct!
I really enjoy your videos. Except for the extreme zooming that distorts the speed and size of the trains.
Thanks for letting me know! I'm always trying new things and angles so I can take the comment on board.
Awww i
So you like trains 😀😀
The blue scope train had more rolls on the last wagon then the whole of the train put together?
The consist is pretty normal as alot of the coil based product is produced here in Victoria
Fast?
By my local standards yes 😀😀
Awesome
