I love and appreciate how gentle you are with feedback. I've been working hard creating art I haven't shared in the discord for a while. I'll be posting more regularly and may submit another piece for feedback. :)
Istg you're one of the best digital art RUclipsrs out there! Your videos are always so fun and helpful!! I'll be following ur videos for my portfolio that I'll make soon to apply for animation in university once I'm done with my diploma project for my graduation :]
This is actually so helpful. You’re doing everyone a huge service! I learned a lot just by watching this, and I love how as you are changing certain things you explain why it makes sense!
Ayy fun! Thanks for fixing my piece hehe! It’s so helpful to see someone with more knowledge actually apply the changes to my art directly, instead of explaining on examples! That way I can much better pay attention to these things in future :) You did great hehe✨
The legendary classical painter Michelangelo once said: "AI can never beat the emotions evoked by a painting that's made by a man" So no, you don't suck at art as far as you see progress compared ONLY by yourself
I really liked the second one! The art style reminded me a bit of Secret of Kells or another one of the movies made by that same studio. I agreed with you pushing the brights/shadows, but I think I liked the hair better when it had less detail lol. I wanna go look at that artist's other work now!
Something I see across all of these types of videos is that people are in general very contrast blind when it comes to their own art, as well as something I also do, which is being stubborn about the ref colors and not willing to change them with the lighting/shadows (which also leads to low contrast). The thing is, when the whole palette is balanced with the lighting and follows the color theory, people will still interpret it correctly. E.g. if green hair looks a bit teal in blue lighting, but the rest of the clothes also has a blue tint, people will not think your OC has teal hair instead of green.
It’s so fun to see the simple things you can do to make your art make more sense, even though I’m in bed watching this I feel like I have learned a bunch!
I think the first one turned out too refined I think that the first version was in a way more realistic and moody but your version is like less blury and also very interesting especially the color
I am a 17 year old tradtional/digital artist trying to improve on my body anatomy. Is there any way to improve or any videos about anatomy? I love your videos by the way😊🤗
This might just get me back into drawing 💛 I love designing characters for D&D, but my interests over the years have branched out of the adventure/fantasy genres and into sci-fi. Aliens, anyone? Wait. How do I draw alien anatomy? 😭
if you watch the video she actually says more suggestions than just "your art is bad". she says why certain aspects of different pieces don't work and why. she also says to take it with a grain of salt. also, these aren't just random people that she's critiquing. they asked to be critiqued, hence the hashtag. overall, it's her opinion and suggestion and not used as a tool to humiliate the artists.
I think the second one was ok with the anathomy. The changes werent mecesary. The drawing had its own style before like a childs book drawing. With the chamges it looked a little stiff and took away all the femeninity it had
Jackie, I always wonder what takes YOU SO LONG! We love these we should be at fixing your at 10 or also another series with your art my style, we love seeing you draw! Make these faster please!
😭 please I must balance videos I love to make and videos you love to watch! I love making videos where I paint something new or learn a new process. That’s why I don’t make these vids as much :’)
16:00 fixing? Because what, art is supposed to depict only perfect people? What nonsense. You know there are people with a hunchback, too small limbs and a very short neck? And what, fictional characters can't be like that anymore, they have to be perfect? Perfection is boring :/
perfection isn't possible to begin with and the person wanted their art to be fixed, they didn't give the character a back like that as part of the character, it's just a little mistake, nobody ever said any of those features aren't good🤷♀️
There’s this thing in art called intent, if there’s an intention to have the fictional character be a hunchback, for example, there’s still certain anatomy rules that they need to adhere to make that character look accurate to what hunchback people look like in real life. There’s a difference between designing a character with a physical deformity (hopefully that’s not an offensive word to use) and not knowing proper anatomy that lead to the art making zero sense.
I love this series. And.. Finally someone who dislikes when things get too thin. It bugs me a lot in character design/having to draw these choices. You can spice it up, but are often told to make it thinner again 🥲 aaa. Let me give it some mass and volume please.
Thank you so much for picking me 💙 I touched up on my drawing after watching your video
Please post your edited painting to the Patreon discord!
Your work in the video was still really good even before the changes! I love the hair especially too!
@@JackieDroujko I did 👍🏾
@kemaniart you did her hair so nicely!
The before and after is always jaw-dropping…it’s really insane how important the little pieces are for an entire piece
It's crazy how quickly you can spot anatomy issues, sometimes I'll stare at a piece for ages not being able to see what's up 🥰
same... sometimes just looking at it knowing something is off....
or maybesome of these ''anatomical issues'' were supposed to be there?
@@AndromedaApokalipsy I thought that about some of the ones she fixed, some people don't have pouty lips and super hero hair >.

I love how u fixed their art but still kept it as the original art style I don’t rlly see a lot of fixing videos that doesn’t change the style
It's crazy how little changes to the posture makes a huge improvement. I find postures so hard to nail.

Do you take any submissions for the RUclips community tab also I like your art
On Kemani's drawing isn't the character's left eye (the eye on the right) a bit too long?
I love this already! :o
she made the punk girl thicc as hell for no reason 😂
no she didn’t
Pretty sure the 4th one is jinx from arcane or at least they used her as reference
Nope. Just because a character has teal hair doesn’t mean they’re inspired by jinx.
Hi Jackie, say hello to Brazil!
How can I join your discord channel? 😅
You have such a unique face, like it was drawn by an artist :O
I really like your paint overs and stuff, but the thumbnail was so rude? it didn't need to be that way.
Yeah, but unfortunately RUclips encourages Clickbait so much It’s sad.
Yess I like the tips but the thumbnail is just rude

How dare RUclips hide This video from me for 4 minutes???😭😭
I’m so sorry people are so nit picky about you changing the art style when that’s not the point
my show is on

how do I submit my art for these kinds of videos? /genq
You can submit your art on my discord, which you can access by joining my patreon!
jackie that thumbnail is so mean :(( even if the critiques in this video are constructive, the thumbnail is so cruel & ragebaity what the heck (ToT)

I don't like that, she just changes the person's entire drawn and style, without giving almost any advice.
