Thanks for the info this is some great knowledge I didn't know. I'm in the works of swapping my 6thgen accord with a auto j32a2 and a Acura cl 6 speed. Idk if it's for all models but mines on a budget I got no crazy money for a fueltech ECU or Aem so I reached to PJ Walters, he mention to me he's making a ECU jumper harness for anyone going with a stock ECU and should be more for budget builds, also mentioned going that route you'd need a 2001-2003 Acura TL/cl ECU (Auto ECU) and the whole harness from the automatic. A jumper harness for the transmission will have to be made if you want full functionality for the transmission (reverse lights and speedometer) plz delete post if my knowledge is wrong just passing down the info for anyone going with auto j32a2
Did my swap j swap for 3500 and my k swap for 2950 both running driving street cars like he said do you research you can do these swaps on a affordable budget if you source correct doner vehicles
What year 03? I have insane shafty but I really don't want to pay another 500+ for another set I've tried to make my own but no luck so I had to buy them want to make my next set
@Gratitude6ixty9ine there's a guy that did a mid engine J series Integra. W an extended wheelbase. Can't think of the name of their channel rn but they did a feature on them for TX2K 2024..
@Jay-sw4mc Deleted all the heater and AC stuff. As for all the lights I just connected the Civic plugs to the corresponding wires on the CL harness. Running lights turn signals ect.. you could prob do the same with the heater unit but I didn't that for 1 it was too much extra time and research for the wiring at the time and I'm trying to make my car as light as possible. If you have the money PJs Customs will make you a jumper harness to be able run everything like factory.
@alvinmckithen5140 TBH w that specific platform already being Kseries with a 6 speed id just invest in some upgrades for it as is. Unless you're really wanting a J and have the budget id say it would be cool. Or if you're getting a good deal on a rolling chassis. But for me personally if it's still K id leave it. Keep all the creature comforts. Invest in a turbo kit and a stand alone ECU.. Sometimes it sucks not having heat or AC in a budget swap like we've done. There's just too many variables to say for sure what the best route would be.
Dam bro you replied fast I was expecting like a reply in 6 years lol and I figured I've seen ppl sue them on b series no issues with the drin plug the right way just figured I'd ask I want to upgrade
@RandyLe-cb2eb all our swaps are out of 2003 TL-S. I used a 6 speed for NY red civic out of the 2003 CL-S. Yeah I know the K series 'can' make 1000 hp. But stock for stock no match for J series.
@davidcampo1522 radiator hoses. We just used the TL hoses. Kinda cut them and fitted them to the Sunoco radiator. As far as electrical, like I said we just wired up the fuel pump and lights off the TL harness.
@davidcampo1522 depends on where you're located. But as for us we just work on our own stuff for now. you can do it. Invest in some tools if you don't have what you need.
If you're using the J30 Accord as a donor. It'll be the same. Just use everything I mentioned. If it's drive by wire you'll need the gas pedal as well. And the little control box the wire goes to.. throttle control module I think it's called 🤔
