I've got a green beret knife that came out a bit before this one but very similar. Super great comfort and quality! Chris Reeve & Harsey collaborated on it and it's a dream!!
For anyone that says this knife is not available or that you can't but it. NOT true. Just did a search and found someone that has it for sale. They are hard to find and you do need to be very quick if you find one. But they are out there. FYI Price has gone up also. Many places have some type of layaway plan or you could make payments through PayPal. Lots of ways to get one if you really want one. Good luck on the search. oh I enjoyed the video by the way. Please keep them coming.
When you showed this before you actually started talking about it, I was thinking it was a ka-bar. I believe they actually make a couple models that look similar.
lovely video doc, im starting to buying fixed blades now instead of folders, currently got 2, and one in shipping but my current 2 are in sweden cause im going there for vacation so that way i have a knife there
@@FARACI1 I think they're in two different classes. This is a real workhorse field fighting knife. Just my opinion but I think it's a level above anything Esse makes. But it also is overbuilt for most thing you need a knife for. The Esse is more of a camping field craft blade.
@FARACI1......ESEE 5 is a thick THICK knife that excels at survival and shelter building (batoning, drilling, ect.) You can do this with a Chris Reeve Pacific too, but it’s not as thick. The Pacific is a combat utility knife, so I suppose it is faster for hand to hand combat.....but let’s be honest, you’ll never have to use The Pacific for combat. The Pacific if good at just about everything. It’s still very thick, razor sharp out of the box, and very ergonomic to hold. Hope this helps. Both are phenomenal knives tbh. 👍
And I love serrations! It’s a combat knife and not used for whittling. Once into the belly of an enemy, those serrations will quickly expose any internal organs you wish to eat.
Calm down a bit bro (not you Doc, but your guest). Dude is fondling the knife like he's about to lube it up and rub it off. I thought we were about to see a guy deep throat 6 inches of S35v right here on RUclips... Nice knife, my guy. "Diamonds! They're DIAMONDS!"
@@howardvarley8795 It’s basic economics. All businesses have a max capacity. Just a few years ago, it was easy to buy a CRK Pacific knife as the demand for the knife was low. CRK has stopped producing the flat dark earth (FDE) Pacific to streamline production. They are now producing all their Pacific and Green Beret knives with CPM 4V steel. I have lived in Singapore and Indonesia and CRK knives are in high demand there as they are in the USA.
@@thedetective8150 But that doesn't change my argument does it? The Pacific is Not available to buy, one version as you say isn't even made anymore.. what good is that to potential customers?? And what's the point of recommending it - bit like recommending the Alan Wood Woodlore - pointless!!
I just bought a 4V green beret. You gotta keep your eye out. Good luck with your search. Unless you are just complaining and not actually searching for this blade. Good luck with that too.
Overated knife. There are way more appropriate steels and heat treatments for that kind of knives. Ball bearing steel, Vanadis 4 Extra, CPM Cruwear, CPM 3V, all would be better choices for that type of knife. Choils on handles and blades, are mostly "marketing sale points" For example there is a reason Becker designs success and that includes the simple design, without stupid choils, that make a knife less safe and more uncomfortable. Becker BK 7 and Fallkniven A1 are both the most popular at that size for a reason. Edge and main bevel geometry, is also not that great on the Pacific, which in my opinion, it mostly targets collectors, than users market. I would go for a TRC Mille Cuori, or a GSO instead of the Pacific. That's not just my opinion, it's facts, there are a ton of better knives at that category out there.
I had Fallkniven and it easily chipped when chopping dead branches. It’s an expensive knife with meh steel. Furthermore, the Pacific and Green Beret knives for 2022 have CPM 4V steel. Becker is a heavy sharpened crowbar. By the way your opinion are not facts. 🤡
Overrated!!?? You yourself put this knife in Your top ten best military survival knives!! Seems to me you adjust your opinion to suit the way the wind is blowing. And you need to check out the difference between a FACT and an OPINION. And BTW the handle on the Bk7 is horrible and dangerous!! And Its a cheap steel too.
As per CRN website lead time for this knife is 6 years!

I would love to see that!
Just placed the order for the non-serrated version can’t wait
I'm pretty jealous!
You will get the new CPM 4V steel version of the Pacific. I placed an order for my second Pacific plain edge version.
Plan on a three years plus wait
I picked up this knife last year at a pawnshop for 150
Felt like a lucky find I was very excited about it lol
Don't know how I missed this video, I really want to try a cr fixed blade.
They’re definitely worth the price tag.
I have two Pacifics because it’s that amazing and ergonomic! 😁
that is a beautiful knife...and the handle looks amazing
Still waiting on my plain edge version! 😉😎
Smart choice.
I have both versions, serrated and straight......guess which version is easier to sharpen? 😉
@@anderseckstrand7033 Exactly! That was my thought process (have a durable nice piece that can be sharpened). 👍🏻

Just got this bad boy off eBay. Pretty damn sweet
I have a Green Beret and desperately want a Pacific with serrations, but the price is ‘difficult’. One day I’ll find one at any price.

The Spartan blades/Ka-bar collaboration knives
I love all the knives in this video and some day I will have a collection worth some thing.
That is a very nice knife.

I bought a Spartan Blades/K-Bar Damascus
Love this blade it’s next on my list. It needs a KyDEX pancake sheath. Do you know anyone that makes one?
I don't know anyone off hand but there are a lot of folks that make custom kydex. I'm sure you can find one pretty easy.

You would not want to put that in my hands you might not get it back LOL.
Great knife powder coating is great but i did notice wear above grind. Out of my league cost wise Stuart Palmer Adelaide Sth Australia
Is a esee 6 just as good and its only 150 dollars?
Northern Exposure, in Salt Lake, used to have four heavy duty strippers at night, only two during the day
Not a fan of serrations, might try to make a recurve to remove them. But since it is such a high end knife, I would probably sell/trade it

For some reason i thought mtech made a comeback
The perfect fixed blade knife is the Buck 650 Nighthawk . And not that lame version from tops with the holes in it.
