This is just... offensive, in some weird way. You're an immortal, extra-dimensional entity of pure selfish hunger. You take thousands of years, spawning generations of evil creatures and filling impassible fortresses with them. 14 minutes later with one trespasser, it's all gone.

The grenade jumps alone make this unachievable by mortals. Not to mention the perfect bunny hopping....not some bullshit half ass jumping around. Perfect speed and tempo.
A pioneer-al feat that made history. Well done! I remember watching this video quite a bit in 2011, fathoming on how fast everything was being blasted through. Looking at it now, it brings me a smile to see the true gateways that quake done quick had opened.

I saw it literally 20 ago in-game when it was possible to see this speedrun only if you download the QDQ mod and start the game with it. Holy f. Good times.
buddy this quake run is cheated. i remember my self playn sigleplayer quake with command to slow the time totally and at the same time i recorded a demo. stop playng play demo recently recorded in normal speed. my friends at the first time watchin that new quake skills was so amazed :) trst mee im speaking from my expirience. but that quake cheating was opnly for my house. and i admit to my friends after 3 games that i cheated my demos

IT'S IMPOSIBBLE.. Everything you did.... The timing, the speed, the efficiency.... it was so perfect.. You are not human -.-
that's very true. the done 100% quickest is a great example. i wonder if that has something to do with long, cold nightish seasons and not much else to do anyways.
11:52 is going to give me nightmares. It chills me to my bones to know that somewhere in the world, there exists a person who is capable of doing what I just saw.
I think you actually mean "Quake Done Quick". This is its successor, but he's not as famous or influential as the original Quake Done Quick was back in the day.
I'd set the 100% done quickest in the same level of importance maybe, since it requires a very special and different skill set, and is f*cking hard to do.
No, like someone else said, these were handmade drawings he made while playing. What people didn't know is that he did this run with the drawings with two hands behind his back.
source was built off of goldsrc, and much of the code is the same. The same goes between goldsrc and quake. It's buried under a tower of duct tape, but there's still remnants of the original code.
The quickiest trigger in the west, I mean, in Quake, LOL! Now, without seriuousness, I really enjou your ingenuity to make the levels as quick as possible!
Wow, the Hungarians really aced a good chunk of the runs, especially the second chapter. Bojler eladó amúgy, hihetetlen sok dolog körül magyarokat látni! :D
Quake done Quickest 2 is even faster! ruclips.net/video/8tTIhplSj1w/видео.html

I love watching the enemies running around on the map complete screen wondering what the hell just tore ass through there grunting ferociously.
oh bad guy, SHOOT SHOOT SHOO-- where the hell did he go?!?
Man that really sums it up...
I love how during the stats screen all the enemies are running around like sayin "what the hell just happened?"

the best thing is all the monsters in the scorescreen always running like: WHERE IS HE, I SAW HIM I KNOW I SAW HIM
Lol. Thought the same thing. Funniest parts.

11:19 When you REALLY have to go.
i love how different countries participate ... its a true international effort, bringing world piece via hell of quakes
well said.
yo imagine being chthon then some guy legit just breaks into your house then uses you as a skateboard ramp in order to electrically shock you
That poor Shambler running around at the end like ''W.. what do I do?!''
11:13 Wow, that pro use of the quad damage and the super grenade jump + skipping... legendary.

The 360 grenade jump at 4:12 coming out of the water was actual filth what a legend
So was the one at 4:25. Kind of a delayed layup to himself lol.
Quake: Are you sure you want to jump into lava? It will kill you quickly, you know.
Speedrunner: I'm sure, that's where I just chucked my grenade.

It is possible to achieve such hops, the art of the scroll wheel
Chuck Norris recorded himslef trying quake for the first time
no recording. the video was rendered from hand drawings he made while playing.

I remember after Quake came out *every* game - and loads of Doom levels - had to have a bit where you go down in a lift while monsters attack you.

I find these videos strangely hypnotic
All those monsters training their entire life only to be ran past without an opportunity to do their job.

this is a classic of the 'asmr chill beats' video genre
ROLLIN AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND

I started saying that to myself near the middle of Episode 4. Then I scrolled down and saw your comment. Something strange is going on here, brother.
So I wasn't the only one? lol
***** Maybe it's the freedom the song implies. The freedom that doesn't exist in modern shooters these days. :'(
Tarson Talon Holy Symbolism, Batman!
I love that "huh!" jumping sound. Trent Reznor did a great job with it.
Makes me want to sample it and use in my music...
I just had that idea, too.

I love how every creature that didn't die just stayed back there damned pissed .
THE OG SPEEDRUN AND STILL THE KING
Never got any fun from speed running in 21 years playing this game. Still, it is hypnotic to watch :P
I did a speedrun on Half-Life 1 once, finished it in 4 hours or so.

"You wanna come over?" "Can't I have to destroy legions of lovecraftian beasts"
"My parents aren't home"
"Be there in 10"
I'm laughning hard from shambler in the end, running in the panic, when he realized that he would die from telefrag.

Quake guy... rocketjumping his way through hell since 1995
Dodging responsibilities like:
I can't believe Chuck Norris let you record the first time he played Quake! XD
No, like someone else said, these were handmade drawings he made while playing. What people didn't know is that he did this run with the drawings with two hands behind his back.
His actual run was actually half the time of this video.

Easy to forget that this is the game that EVERY VALVE GAME is based off of, engine-wise.
well goldsource was based on quake and the first version of source too but right noe there is no connection between source and quake engine codes
source was built off of goldsrc, and much of the code is the same. The same goes between goldsrc and quake. It's buried under a tower of duct tape, but there's still remnants of the original code.
Tazo Gochitashvili In the leaked HL2 beta, there was GoldSrc and Quake code in it.
***** 4 lines
4 fcking lines which were used in about 50% of other engines i think it had something to do with the RGB color thing
Having grown up on Quake, I had the vague impression TF2 felt familiar. As it stands the Original is the only rocket launcher I'll use.

The skill is unreal, not the game lol

I can't even begin to imagine how much patience it must've taken to get this good at this game.
