You’re such a champ at explaining business operations and organization, I appreciate your hard work and sharing of knowledge to build resilient businesses!
What a fantastic video! Not only is your content amazing, but the personality, feel, and "get to the point" attitude is sublime. Thank you for existing and helping me learn.
Wow after tears and hours of trying to break a huge company structure into bitesize nuggets I FOUND THIS 🙏🤦🏻♀️YOU SAVED ME FROM BEING A HAIR SHY AWAY FROM AN INSANE ASYLUM 😝🥰THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH
Layla I want to commend you for being successfully broad. My business builds roads and bridges in Iowa, USA and I found your content relevant and helpful.
A huge realization for me as I've been bingeing your videos has been the distinction between SOPs rather than documenting processes. I think I had been thinking of it all as the same -- and all of our templates are cumbersome. The hardest part for me is putting them in a place in Clickup where people can find things.
Hey Michele! Just getting caught up on comments🙈 I'm so glad you're finding the content helpful. I hope that you've learned even more in the last year and that you're doing amazing!
Ha! It's funny how we find ourselves down these rabbit holes on RUclips, isn't it? For NEXT week, be sure to comment as you go along and share any questions you have! I'm quite active in the comments and it's always super helpful to hear from people as they go along -- what they're wondering about, enjoying, or (best of all) how things might be better on the channel! It's all SO helpful!
I feel like we are process twins separated at birth, the way you talk about processes is making my happy geeky brain so happy! Nice delivery! THANK you for sharing
In that case, it's nice to meet you again! Always love to meet fellow "process people". People think it's a boring or uncreative topic...but we know better! 😂
What an amazing video, am building SOPs for the digital marketing department in a marketing agency, and Just by using common sense I found my self following your method. The real concern I have is the intruption that can be caused by changing existing old SOPs
Hey Abdelrahim! Certainly understandable! When we update SOPs at Team ProcessDriven, we make sure to let anyone who may be involved know. This way it can updated collaboratively and everyone is on the same page.
Hi, I was looking to videos to help me to create system in my personal life and yours pop I up. This video can be re-purpose to create systems for my personal life. Your system of Map->Equip->Try is simple and very useful. I am struggling to keep up with my task every week. I will create a system to block time and get things done. Thank you so much for sharing. A big thumps up!
Thank you for your help. I pray you are taking care of yourself and may the LORD continue to use you and your pain to bring salvation to millions. One of the channels that helped me prepare for the road to wealth.
wow don't even know how I ended up here. But that was fantastic and gave me hope to make my creating processes work easier.! I think my headache went away
Thanks for sharing, Layla. (quick question below) I think this is the only video I'm seeing on systems that goes through the Templates and Tech BEFORE getting into Teams. Super helpful! Quick question for you, Layla: After you define your template, how do you go about finding the appropriate tech to meet your template requirements? Do you just Google for tools or specific keywords? Please let me know what you think. I'd really appreciate your help! Thanks so much
Phew! That’s a whole other video...! Basically, I define features I need and search from there. Usually start with broad keywords and then use my required features to narrow down the top rated options.
You ara amazing ! I’ve always loved working organized, and with workflow, even though people criticize me cus they say I want it to be too perfect. Is not that is that I believe if your unorganized, much won’t get done.
This was a great video. I love the visual map and post it notes. Im going to write down the process for RUclips videos and my live classes. And watch more of your videos. Thank you got your insights!
Love this break down! First thing I’ll break down is my on boarding process for my membership. It needs fine tuning and it’s hard to fine tune something only I see and thus don’t write down.
Same here, Patricia! 😂 I'm working on pieces of that myself! I've found the channel "Andrew & Pete" (and their paid program, Atomic) super helpful to get insights on what strategy to employ.
Hey! Just getting caught up on comments🙈 We don't offer 1:1 services, but we do have the ProcessDriven Membership! Get all of the details here: processdriven.co/services/membership
Heya! I prefer outside tools (that can be embedded or linked in if you need to) because while your ClickUp Mind Map can have "forks" in the road, you currently can't have 2 points in your Mind Map reconvene...which seems like a pretty essential function for a freestyle map! :)
@@LaylaPomper do you know if they're aware of that limitation or any plans to improve it? I would imagine that your feedback to them would carry some good weight more than just regular users chiming in! ☺️ Have you discussed this with them?
As I approach retirement (or get rid of jobs I don't want to do), I'm starting to list the jobs that I just do without thinking about it. The first list was for a breakdown of monthly bank and CC reconciliations that I do in Quickbooks. Very scary and now I know why I didn't want to think about it before. Fourteen for the store, three for another business, and five for my personal life. This doesn't count things like investment accounts that I only do yearly. The sad thing is that I can see that I probably only switch two of those accounts to a less frequent time frame with three more that will go away as I divest myself of the secondary business.
@@LaylaPomper As you can imagine, it's a slow process as there are still all the day to day jobs that need to be done. I have my daughter now starting to do invoice scanning using Filecenter (wonderful program by the way) to get rid of some boxes of documents of an aunt with dementia. I started a new set of company books at the start of my last year end to get rid of 20 years of Quickbooks data and corruption, and am now working on setting up templates for various month end processes to make data entry easier for someone else. Lots of other minor things as well like assigning ordering of products to staff who can step into the role.
I’m going to map how I write daily focus boards, weekly lesson plans and weekly newsletters. I think it will help me see how I can edit the same content for different audiences.
I think I need a baby process to start with. Seems like a pretty big elephant to tackle. I'm sure that once you get the first one done, it gets easier?
An easy one for service businesses is “onboarding” - what happens once someone wants to work with you? How do you get them ready for work? ☺️ For teams, omething like “how to hire a new team member” might help. For product businesses or creators, “how to handle failed credit card payments” for a product
