Wow man your videos are soooo good!!! Don't get me wrong I have always loved your videos but you can see all the effort you are putting in to these. I feel like I am watching a PBS show from back in the day like 3-2-1 Contact, the production value is just next level. Everything is so tight, the editing, the music, the lighting, the voice overs, the builds its really great work all around.
Indeed, though the production value of a crafsman video is far superior than anything ever shown on TV, the video production in itself is a work of art.
This means so much, y'all! (As soon as I saw "3-2-1 Contact", I *heard* it - can remember those intros like they were yesterday. Maybe because I was still not THAT young when I last saw them. LOL!)

Haven’t watched in 4 years and I’m so insanely upset I have missed so much, I’ve taken on a career in the practical effects and makeup industry and that drive to create with my hands came from your videos, I originally watched because of your relaxing voice but stayed for the creativity, at this point you’ve developed such an amazing sense of comedic timing (which has always been said to be one of the hardest skills in acting and film production), I have a road trip tomorrow where I’m going to have to binge all your videos. I truly admire how you envision what can be with all those disparate pieces to put them together into something wonderful! Some stages, to me, don't quite make sense but then as more gets added it turns into an amazingly detailed creation that's real exciting to see come alive.
First, I love watching the collab videos with some of my favorite youtubers. It's kind of like being let into your friendship inner circle. 😊 Second, the build is lovely and is really inspiring me to get into some sculpting I've had on the back burner. Third, loved seeing Trogdor!! And I loved black 5.75. Sounds extra fancy. 😂
The still-photo of the hand, the changing of gloves, you love to teas and play with our minds...love it!
Man is it good to see apoxie sculpt used where necessary inna project. So many creator are glued to their hot glue guns as the only way to attach two pieces together that i get hype anytime i see proper apoxie maling an appearance!

The diorama is so good and it definitely feels like it’s telling a story and it makes me crave watching a stop motion film about these little beadmen fighting against this fire breathing worm
Love how this video has such a different flavor to it than usual. I can see the touches of influence from Boylei and Bill making stuff just from the nature of the build alone. Always a pleasure to watch you at work. God bless, sir.

I really appreciate the incredibly wide variety of materials you use. as a very amateur artist on a tight budget I was surprised how many times I went “oh, I have that” with your supplies. Thanks again for always inspiring me.
A small hobby bench vice is a great addition to any workbench. It makes things much easier when you’re cutting or sawing, like the head bead you did. You can even get them with different face plates for use with irregular shapes or different materials.
Love it. I’m so nerdy, but I love that you guys all know each other. I really love when you show the thought processes and the figuring it out of it. Very encouraging. I haven’t respected a puppet so much since Kermit the frog. 😜

Craftsman has an uncanny ability to make something complex look simple. Crafting, video and editing.
Crafsman! I am so blown away! At first I thought that the LED wire in his mouth didn't look so great. Then a few fluffy stuff and puffs later you show the finished piece and I am incredibly impressed at how good the fire looks. It looks like a freeze frame of fire reflecting off the shield from movie or something. Very fluid motion feel. Impressive and inspiring ❤❤❤thank you for your content

Crafsman! That priming transition was buttery smooth! Amazing work
Thank you! :D I took a pencil and traced around the base while it was on the workbench, got my shot, didn't move the camera, ran outside to prime it, set it back in the spot, and picked back up filming. :) Then it's just a cross-dissolve between the two shots as my hand went down the side of the screen.

So cool! I think one of the things that stands out is how you see a lot of skills you've built over the years come together when you work on a bigger deeper project like this. It was an absolute blast to watch. And as always the music was just top notch, I remember how at 1st everyone was worried at the idea of you implementing music because we were afraid we'd get less Crafsman talking time, but you've always found a great balance, and now I can't imagine your videos without it.

This is such a cool diorama!!!! Youve really outdone yourself, the expressions on the beadbots and the big open maw on that space worm are the coolest!! :D plus, the sound effects for this episode are WONDERFUL! Youve been really stepping up the sound effect game and it adds so much to every video you put out!!
One of my favorite parts of this is the sound design; from the froggish alien gurgling language (hidden even in the beginning as foreshadowing?) to the more subtle whooshes and transitions and of course the original music. Crafsman continues to up the skill level ante' every time. Nice to see some straight up crafting again, too. Inspiring as always.
seeing a tall person in crafsman's workshop was crazy! it makes it look so small, but crafsman uses his space well :3 clearly he built it with every BODY in mind hehe

I've seen people use cotton wool for all sorts of hobby and miniature wargame applications, but you are the first I've seen felting it to give it structure, which is an excellent idea.

The levels of change the model went through from the start to your final vision was just..revelatory. This is WONDERFUL. It turned out even better than expected and I expect so much from you and you always deliver. That is so cool. I’d pay so much to have a model of that on a shelf lol.
Have you ever considered reaching out to squidmar miniatures and seeing if ya’ll could do a collab where you maybe make a monster/creature for their 40k figures and they paint up some figures for you and you can do a stop motion or a set or something? They have a very large community and their painting videos for figures and plastics are on another level. They also do WONDERS with their bases and adding such depth to their scenarios. No pressure. Just thought it would be super duper cool.

There’s so much in this video like the cabochons around the base of the worm creature’s feet or the frog face on the little bot, or the energy and life in the poses. But also? This music is AMAZING. Combined with your voice I went into a trance.
I love this diorama. The felted cotton is something I`ve never seen before in fire effects... shaped the flames beautifully. The strange bead bot bodies and alien creature in a fantasy setting reminds me of a forgotten beast from Dwarf fortress.
Now that I've watched this once I think that I could just listen to it as I fall asleep. The voice and soundscape is perfect for drifting off to sleep.
Loved this. The whole aesthetic of it is great.

Thank You! I often get frustrated/embarrassed/ashamed of my talent/skill level (or lack thereof) after watching Dr. Garuda and/or Art Chong Art, because their work is SO precise and realistic, and seems so effortless. But you and Bill Making Stuff (hi Bill) remind me that I can just make what I want with whatever I have at hand. Though because nobody but me and Kitten-Face will ever see the things I make, I (in my head) feel justified in expecting perfection and I don't have the talent my brain seems to think I must. So Thank You (and Bill. hi again Bill) for giving me another voice to argue against my brain with.

This means a lot to me (and I'm sure Bill would appreciate as well)! It's also extra reassurance. I like to show how low-tech this can be, because I talk to so many people who are intimidated by even the idea of *trying* to make something. It's disheartening, because I know how much MENTAL HEALTH benefit in particular I get from crafting, and I want other people to experience this for themselves.
So please, sincerely, know that you CAN make something: Start simple (I used to see how much I could make out of JUST aluminum foil, for example) and slowly develop both:
- Skill.
- Your own "voice" or style.
Also, I find that creative type folks often have *less grace for themselves* than they do for other artists. ie. Things we criticize about our own work might not bother us when we see it in someone else's work. (For the record, I see channels like Studson, Boylei, CCMinis, Craftastrophe, Bill Making Stuff, etc. and feel so very inadequate. Their work to me is much cleaner, more polished, witty, and better presented. But comments like yours go a lonnng way in helping me maintain some degree of confidence! Thank you so much! Stay creative!)
