You may have noticed at a later point the hands were back in "default" shape. LOL! PVC has a "memory", so once it's heated back up, it returns to the original factory molded shape. :)

@@TheCrafsManI make custom wrestling action figures. Sometimes you can heat to position as you wish then hit it with cold water to “set” it. Sometimes I’ll pin it down with a sewing needle or glue it if it’s close enough for both pieces. Love your videos and seeing the inventive ways you use techniques and products!

Crafsman, this is one of the coolest builds I've seen you make. The pilot had me confused at first, but once I saw you making room for those big bulging eyes I was like "OH! He's going for a Rat Fink look!" It turned out so cool. And using the mustard like that was brilliant.
I don't care if you put out a video every week or one every other month, I'll be here for them. They're all absolutely charming and super creative. Talk about movies or music or whatever you want. Your take on things, like Elizabeth Cotten's style of guitar playing for instance, is always inspiring.

If there was an academy awards for RUclips I'd reward this creation with awards for best original score, best cinematography, best visual effects, best editing and best picture.

      @Skinnamarink. 5 месяцев назад +1

IF there was an awards system for youtube, RUclips would make sure that only bad people like jake/logan paul, xqc, mr beast, or that guy that goes around harassing people in public, get the award, not actual good creatures, like TheCrafsMan.
But if it were up to us, then yes, he'd win! for sure!

I'm the worst person to give input on content since I'm here no matter what, and face the same struggles on RUclips- but looking forward to whatever works well for you going forward! Also, that mustard made me do a double take, I was sure it was a bit involving yellow paint, but nope, never heard of it as a mask before! Love the Ratfink inspiration, and the biggest fan of your scratch build content always! Really cool to see your personal visual style come through even when starting with prebuilt character's pieces.

I think you got it spot on yourself, CM - the ol' school videos were varied and informed and didn't need to be super long (though I'll always take a 20-minute-plus video).
Maybe shop logs/behind-the-scenes/film and music chat could verge on the longer side?
I swear, cutting so many montages to music is part of the thing that's adding so much time to your production, so returning to a more direct approach couldn't hurt.

I work in the printing bidnezz and back in the prior century we used to cut amberlith and rubylith with X-Actos, but we used a little sharpening stone by the light table to extend the blade life. One elder gentleman there, who got his start working as a steady draughtsman at B0eing, would sharpen those edges to the nub, because he hadn't learned to waste time on the new world wide web.

I'm also shocked the glue gun's plastic didn't just explode (brittleness). As always, this was a stress balm that I needed. Since I can't get TCM in pill form! I'll take videos as often as he makes them! (And with the back catalog, often re-re-rewatching old videos, I get my stress helper more often!) Thank you, Crafsman & family!

Your local dollar tree with its high ceilings reminds me of the dollar tree my grandma would take me to when i was little- only if i was good, because going to dollar tree meant i could pick out a toy. She also had a big winter village and had tons of those winter miniatures you showed. And shed always make a fuss about not being able to show off her village to the whole family since we all lived far away. She passed very unexpectedly this past september, and i hate to sound too terribly emotional, but just those brief clips brought me back to nice memories.

Not every video has to be a classic that will be immortalized in song and verse for millennia to come. This is RUclips. They don't take their own platform all that seriously. Why should you?
As to the content slowdown, consider breaking long videos like this into smaller chunks. This video could probably be transformed into three ten-minute videos with minimal padding. The process videos where you discuss the how and why of what you are doing are some of your best. You are an entertaining person, and your crafting insights are valuable. People aren't going to complain about an extra minute or two of your thoughts.

Really appreciate seeing things like how to cut and hold the knife safely and how to sand safely. Basics, but some of us still need to learn those 🙂

We visited my husband's parents this last weekend and described you and your videos as the Bob Ross of crafting. Your voice and demeanor are always very pleasant and soothing and really most any video you want to produce would be enjoyable. We hope you and your family have had a happy holiday season and wish you the best start to 2024 possible.

Crafsman, I will watch anything you put out. There have been videos in the past that weren't quite matching my personal interests, BUT, I still loved them and learned things, and it broadened my horizons. So, you do you. Scratch bash, make music, design new toys, make molds, dioramas, or anything else you want. I'd watch you read the phone book, if that is what you wanted to do, (but only once, because that might get boring).

That was amazing, watching the glue gun disappear, and the speeder appear.

That's an outstanding design and build, Crafsman! This wouldn't look out of place alongside any Ed Roth designs.

We haven't even talked about Bigfoot, Crafsman.
You could read an old catalog and I'd love it.

I want to watch any videos that contain at least one Crafsman. Literally any topic will do. You are a darn treasure.

I'd love to see you do a series or video where you talk about one of your favorite movie/tv shows/books and make a kit bash/craft to match it. You are such an awesome creator though so I am happy with whatever videos you make! Thank you for being so awesome Crafsman!

As much as I love your main content, the outtakes with you muttering to yourself are some of my favorite bits. Also points for mentioning Yogi Berra and his malapropisms.

I love the pilot. Reminds me of Rat Fink and the old Weird-Oh's model kit characters.

Crafsman, if you have a video idea that gets you excited, do that! If it's a quick thing, or if you want to talk about something, or if there's some longer project (akin to this video), or whatever, do THAT! I'm always glad to watch your videos!
Point being, we all love you and we want you to make whatever kind of video makes you happy when you're making it!
Happy New Year, and thank you for all that you do, sincerely!
