My dad used to build RC model airplanes. When I was a kid, he built an F-35 fighter jet and to make the air hoses that connect to the pilots masks, he wrapped a round black twisty tie wire (like a solid core wire that stayed bent) around a straight piece of the same wire to make it look like a flexible hose and as a kid, that blew my mind because it looked like a perfectly scaled hose. 20 years later I feel like I’m having my mind blown all over again for the same reason…
A good trick for any left over green stuff is to roll it into balls. Over time you can amass quite a collection in a range of sizes and they can be quite useful. Steady Craftin sir!
These videos are genuinely really helpful and inspiring! I have been crafting little stopmotion robot puppets, and have been needing tutorials just like this! Thank you crafsman!
FACT: You can never have too many hoses or commercial oxygen. I love the way that your character looks! That hose tool is too cool for hose school. This was fun. Nice work!
Great project video Crafsman! Love your humor and positive vibes, your videos make me smile. Also, please never stop saying "I love y'all" I think we all need to hear that more in our lives. Thanks for just being you
I use this tool a lot for warhammer. A tip I have is to cover a paper clip section in GS and roll it. Now the cable has a steel core and when bent to shape it stays there. With a few mm paper clip exposed from the GS cable it can be attached more securely to the model, with a pin vice hole. Bending into shapes that hold at one end is possible. And can support some weight like putting plugs / claws on the end of the hose.
Wow the lighting and detail is SO good in that last shot I totally buy it as a real person in a space suit. It's just snapped and it looked real all the sudden. Great video as always Crafsman
I see lots of possibilities here! First, Freerange Chicken could get a hose upgrade! Secondly, in addition to doing corrugated hoses, there's great possibilities for worms, centipeded and snake creatures! Lots and lots of potential! Thanks, Crafsman! Also, you recently gave Toy Polloi a shout out on RUclips! Like you, Dave is a great RUclipsr worthy of notice! Thank you for that too!
I've used the comb method in the past, and what I've found is that they're more consistent if you glue them to a rigid backing so that the "teeth" stay evenly spaced and don't flex. Also nit/flea combs have the finest teeth. Great vid as always Crafsman :)
I expect people will be 3Dprinting "combs" (with the teeth at the end joined for consistency, but out-of-plane) for various dimensions/shapes of coils.
Excellent tip about the bends in the hoses. The Crafstronaut turned out awesome. That track at 5 minutes had me singing Sir Mix A Lot songs……my posse’s on broadway!!!! Thank you Crafsman.
I just wanted to say thank you Crafsman! I have a really hard time laughing, but your sense of humour really gets me. I end up chuckling at least once an episode. Thank you for the joy! 😊
Came out so great. It's actually interesting that if you color them red they really look like insides.. which could be used in some horror projects as well.
your videos are super calming and im very happy i found your channel, its so nice to have videos too watch that arent super loud and bright, that also are educational and entertaining
I agree - their overall form is so aesthetically pleasing - nicely stylized! (P.S. I think often about the possibility of adding articulation to figures like those or even knee+elbow joints to 5POA figures. That'd be a fun challenge, I bet. :D) Thanks for watching!
Love this technique you’ve shared! Makes the hoses look interesting and life like. Your figure is properly hosed!! Ready for all apocalyptic scenarios.
I had that sandtrooper figure as a kid, always one of my favorites in my star wars collection. Love how you used it on your figure! Love your figure! Love these rollers! Love this video!
Wonderful! It was actually in my efforts to learn how to create miniature hose that I first started looking for videos on kitbashing and scratchbuilding. As it happens, you were one of the first channels I found here, and I have been following you since!
I could watch Crafsman craf all day
Me too!!❤. Love this vid
Lol im a few videos behind, but I've watched literally every single craf man video on this channel 😂
I agree 100%
lol I have done 😂
I read this in CrafsMan’s voice 😂
Your videos are like a PBS show from an alternate dimension where PBS picked up awesome crafting shows
U R magical.
Dust mask song! It has a permanent place in the soundtrack of my life. Love it.
Mr Crafsman, you could 3D print roller plates with different sized grooves and thicker spacers to make a more varied selection of tubes.
Slick idea!!!

This channel and creator deserves a shout out by Adam Savage from Tested.
Crafsman needs more exposure.
That figure is pretty awesome to be fair.
Crafsman you fill a void in this world of ours. Thank you
It's pretty amazing that your figure could be so bulky looking yet still have decent articulation! Really neat looking too!
These videos are genuinely really helpful and inspiring! I have been crafting little stopmotion robot puppets, and have been needing tutorials just like this!
Thank you crafsman!
Actually, could you do a video on stop motion puppets?
Kinda looks like a space janitor or something. 👍
Looks great!!
I kinda want to see how something like this would 3D print. Could probably make even wilder patterns.

really love the stylized proportions of your kitbashed figure!
Even though it's just parts from existing figures it's got that Crafsman style!

Good craftip, good Sir!
Crafsman your videos never fail to entertain and impress! Hope all is well!

This was really fun to watch! Thank you for providing the diy version!
Wow the lighting and detail is SO good in that last shot I totally buy it as a real person in a space suit. It's just snapped and it looked real all the sudden. Great video as always Crafsman
Using the flat side, brilliant!
I absolutely love that custom figure

His love of hobbies…
As always a pleasure watching what you are getting into.
That example figure is absolutely stunning!
Brilliant as usual, that 45 degree turn broke my mind a little!
Came out so great. It's actually interesting that if you color them red they really look like insides.. which could be used in some horror projects as well.

That grey action figure is awesome!!
I've been looking for an easier, more uniformed resulting process to make custom hoses. The comb idea is bloody brilliant!
Thanks, good sir!
Ooooooweeee! OTO-7 is such a daredevil! Gotta keep an eye on ‘em!
Quel homme, quel geek incroyable !
Always appreciate your vids CM! Especially the use of cattywampus, 80s throwback stuff and the groovin drum beats are on point! 😊
Somehow I find your videos very relaxing
TheCrafsMan is a real hoser.
Your creativity to Kit-Bash so many pieces into an amazing figure is so impressive, I hope you have a Great Week sir.
So bright 🎉😊
That's why I love this channel you are always introducing me to new tools and methods.
Dang, I would have really enjoyed watching you build that articulated figure
I love all of your videos and watch every single one but the one's I like the most are the one's where you use your hands to make stuff.
Crafsman, you really need to get a PO Box so people could send you stuff. I have some things here that I know you would like!
I always thought those Disney infinity guys were such a missed opportunity. I loved the design of them, if only they had been articulated.
I agree - their overall form is so aesthetically pleasing - nicely stylized!

Making cables beautiful
I wish I could hang out with the Crafsman, I guess these awesome videos are as close as I’ll get.

Excellent work.
crafsman lets all the worries of the day melt away

that Mando is awesomely steampunk.
Watching all of your videos makes me want to try making molds from my Monsters in my Pockets I still have
Excellent video Crafsman!
😊😊😊😊baby corn, knurled night sticks.
Crafsman it'd be real easy to make new plates in blender to have custom corrugation sizes. You could even make a knurling roller.
Lovely video!
Crafsman uploads and I’m immediately in my happy place.
Also, thanks for teaching us how to spell beaucoup.
It rubs the jelly on its skin or else it sticks the hose again. Wonderful!
Oh no - his entrails are extrails!! Just kidding - he looks great, CrafsMan! Love that you included the comb alternative for the budget conscious.
A reprisal of "don't forget to wear your dust mask"! And I just love OTO7, keep trying buddy you'll get there. :)
Great video crafsman!

Another great job sir!!
THanks for the great content. I love your channel.
Man this is going to be so useful for remaking tubing for zakus
Such skills!!
In CrafsMan We Trust
Luv ya Crafsman ❤
I make cables with elastic hair ties doped with CYA glue. They cure hard as a rock almost instantly.
You can open up a garden store for miniatures with all them hoses crafsman😂 thank you for the comb trick I'll have to try that out sometime 😀
Good stuff! Thank you.
I never witnessed someone else apologising to inanimate objects! Youre content makes me so damn happy 😂
I enjoyed this video and structure of the edit. It flowed really well and had a great payoff at the end, love it!

That’s a lot of hoses, crafsman
Kool figure craftsman 😮

Nifty tips!
Fantastic video. My wife and I loved it. (Oh, and I would watched a whole video on you putting the figure together. Just sayin’.)
