And she built a soap dispenser from KiwiCo and spoke about the importance of washing your hands...
She was trying to warn us. Even did her own haircut before it was cool!
Missed the date until this comment. Yeah at least one month in 2020 was good.
i love how she lost the hair from the glue, not from the fire, like she literally set all those matches on fire and came out fine, but it's the glue that makes her lose her hair LMAO
Also she burned a hole in her clothes, not from the fire, but from her angle grinder
It's refreshing watching a youtuber wearing all the safety gear when cutting and welding etc.
To bad she still set fire to herself.

Her: casually makes a table out of matches
Also her: casually sets a lit candle on said table
My anxiety: 📈📈📈📈
It's on a £90 brass circle drawing coaster too
I mean whats gonna happen the matches arent even "explosive" anymore
Phosphorous is all used up, there's an apoxy on the top. If a heat gun was used to get the bubbles out and that didn't ignite anything or burn the handles, the candle won't do a damn thing.
Your anxiety is invalid, you need to pay attention.
Yes. Match sticks are well known for not being flammable as soon as the head is burnt...
@Dani Masterson hes not wrong tho
My favorite part was the, "Oh, epoxy in my hair? Screw it, trim it off, and back to work!" I've always loved the spirit of craftsmen. I'm subscribing because you seem really cool.
I was like “oh she should keep it green” and then i realised how much of a fire hazard that would be.
Covering them in epoxy likely wouldve neutralized them anyways.
Silent Slayer still, better safe then sorry
@@MemyselfandIliketobealone Is it not flammable when it's half burnt?
Ryan Tsui it is still flammable, but (I assume) less so since the match heads are designed to light and the already burnt matches are basically just wood
I guess in theory she could have just painted them with some green spray paint after burning them but with the finished edges it looks better this way, I think. that shade of green and the creative shape of it would have ended up looking a little less modern and a little more mod

Don’t you just LOVE how your most anxious driven and maybe slightly physically challenging projects end up being your favorite? I’ve been working on a glitter painting for over a year now and it’s been incredibly challenging and obviously time consuming. I also had no clue how much mod podge I would need for it. I’ve spent close to $400 in materials (including the burden on my energy bill and replacing two hair dryers) and it’s been incredibly rewarding watching something I first drafted coming into form. I’m not done yet, I have a lot of down time waiting on layers to cure so that I can see what it actually looks like between layers, because as you work with mod podge it isn’t actually clear while painting…so there is a LOT of “trust the process” moments lol. I’m terrified of the final layer because then I have to decided if I’m going to use a final layer with resin or if I’m going to do a final 3cm mod podge layer. The board it’s on is already pushing 50lbs and I’m going to have to make a metal case for displaying since the foam board can’t be used to put hardware on just to mount as it is.
Anyways, I just happened upon this in my recommendations and I’m really glad I watched it. Seeing someone else experience all the stages of grief with a project just encouraged me to hang in there.

when she said “it’s been a good month” my heart went 💞💞💞💞
Me too!
My grandma's first job was packing matches in LA. She said everyone had a tiny fire extinguisher by their standing station and she got really good at quick draws. She said nothing major happened, it was just if you swooped up your 100 too fast it would catch a spark and a couple would catch fire. Ya know, nothing major in a factory full of them.
reminds me of my current job - I'm a welder, and we use rags soaked in lacquer thinner to clean parts before welding them. lacquer thinner is extremely flammable and about once a month someone will leave their bottle and rag a little too close while they're mig welding and one will go up. Almost nothing else in the shop is flammable though so we just toss the burning rags onto the floor and wait for them to go out or stamp them out. If the bottle goes up, though, that's when the fire extinguisher becomes necessary.
@@comradegarrett1202 Ooo thanks for the insider welder knowledge. I oil paint, and I didn't understand why you are supposed to keep your rags out of the sun and away from glass cups. I never started a fire, but I singed a towel and never forgot it.

That's an exciting gig! I'm envious. As for making things being a man's domain...that's rubbish. It's an outdated and certainly invalid mode of thinking.
