something I find amusing is to use a baltic country in a custom map and just rule the world with it because of how small and overlooked they always are
Vatican city/san marino are incredibly easy to play as due to italy, let me explain. Italy starts out at war with Ethiopia, due to the AI being relatively incompetent they will send their entire military to Ethiopia. when they move their troops out of Italy you can invade them and quickly build a fleet to keep them from coming back to the main land. I've not tried this strategy in multiplayer, but in singleplayer it is quite easy.
As a Spanish,is difficult too because u are in war with the other Spain (I always choose the weak one,the republican one, don´t ask why) soo its mid basically, but if France or Portugal are players(and are not in war before) you are screwed.
andorra is actually extremely op, you can easily take advantage of the civil war in spain even if there is a player, then you can colonize central(south america and build up a massive economy
the hardest countries to play as in my 1942 map vs the easiest: hardest: Japanese Burma: you might get attacked by Japan if it's a player or conquered by British Burma, the only advantage is you're allies with japan and then can help you defeat british burma Portugal: the same but will most likely get attacked by Spain, the only advantage being it's colonies and the fact that spain is rarely a player atleast in my map British Burma: it has no troops, however if you're lucky india may send troops to help you or resources if they're a player Nationalist China: only 2 tiles in my map, plus you're at war with Japan so you're basically screwed unless they make peace with you, although if it's an AI.. yea good luck Communist China: same as your explanation (you're screwed if japan is a player and/or possibly nationalist china although it's a higher chance of japan doing it) Bohemia: you have a extremely high chance of getting invaded by Germany (aka the Fanta Empire lol) R.K Ostland: you'll most likely get invaded by the Soviets or the Germans if they decide to have no mercy Egypt: unless the british help you, you're screwed due to war with italy Dutch East Indies: you have like an 80% chance of getting invaded by the Japanese, and you only have 2 tiles, East Timor and Java, if Japan is an AI... good luck. now on to the easiest: easiest: United Kingdom: you have alot of colonies, the only disadvantage is that you're at war with Germany and Japan, however you have alot of cities and allies AND TROOPS Germany: same note except no colony and you're at war with all of the allied powers but you're really strong and also have alot of allies and 1 very strong, Japan i'm too lazy to continue
This is something I've encountered very rarely. Most of the time, the UK and France would ally with Germany (even if they are supposed to be at war). Its funny and ironic, especially this is what pretty much happened during the actual Interwar period
@@EnderGrad it is only sometimes that germany uk and france will ally together and it is because they border each other having the similar amount of troops so if someone get invade the invader will be attack by 2 countries and get splited
As a Spanish/Argentine the most difficcult is uruguay because if a player is Argentina or Brazil you are dead or any country of south america that doesnt have city and any country of central america
What about Xibei San Ma? It has no place to train soldiers so you need to pay for that. And you have VERY strong neighbours which means you cant expand that much.
Poland is very fun to play: Get a ship, sail to Brazil, take over Brazil, build an empire, and by the time you reconquer Poland you'll be one of the strongest nations on the map as long as you dont get followed. Build several fleets and have many small colonies to remain alive, and if all else fails, naval raids can stall in time for you to A. Get nuclear weapons, B. Wait for the collapse of your enemies, or C. the oppertunity to win a naval battle, sink the enemy's troops, and retake Polska. This strat works for literally any nation.
If there is no Ussr and you are germany invadeing Poland is a bad decision because you loose half of your army or you can be invaded by major powers like Germany uk or france or Italy
Invading Poland is generally a bad idea. In iron assault, a smart player will expand for 3 reasons 1:Getting an easy city 2:For more land if theirs is already filled 3:Taking out a threat (Like a german player invading the USSR because he’s scared if he merges all of his troops he’ll sweep Europe) Out of all of these, there is no logical options justifying invading Poland For the first reason:Getting an easy city consist of attacking players or AI that have a small amount of troops to expand your economy, Poland only has 1 city and 31 troops if they merge all of their troops and buy +10. And as a rule of thumb if taking over a country with a single city cost 10 troops or more it’s usually not worth it. 2 reasons:Russia is one of the largest country in the game and there are far better choices of expansions for Germany than Poland. Not to mention Poland can act as a buffer between you and the soviets 3:Poland most of the time is barely a threat. Germany has around 2 times more troops than Poland And The soviets in a default map starts with enough troops to solo both Poland and Germany combined.

Dude i actually got Italy's Golden City as Vatican City
every time im am playing as a france then i take luxemburg
As a iron assault player i got to disagree with the last one malta is good as it borders tunisia and u can expand quick
The thing is Malta does not exist on the 1936 world, I would not put it in a modern map tho
You should give Monaco an edge over the rest as Monaco has sea access
Danzig also has sea access but kinda gets screwed over by location

Malta is the best Micro-Nation because it is an island, and can spam ships since 99% of iron assault players don't know how navies work.
