I wouldn't count on a V coming out. I think Sony wants to concentrate on their entry level interchangeable lens cameras which the RX10 MK5 might cannibalize.
What is the benefit of the sony rx10 vs coolpix 1000 when trying to take a photo of an owl 200 feet away? 300 feet?
What do you think of handheld cameras, like the Canon SX 720/740?
How about P950? And RX10 III has lower zoom for double the price.
