I've only done a few cars, but so far the Amazon one has worked fine.

Looks good enough to do one simple job. Dont need a 100 dollar tool to simply roll fenders

I have used both and I can tell you that your premonition about the jack screw is correct. the Amazon hardware including the jack screw is much cheaper metal and it gets unusable over time. especially if it's used a lot. I bought an Eastwood to his in last time and notic we don't definitely adjusts and works better. However of you only need to use it once or twice the Amazon will do just fine. To be fair I did not lube the Amazon jack screw. I loaned it to several people. by the time I got it back it was unusable. with lube it might last longer. But it's not the welds or the thickness of the metal that matters it's the hardware. you could probably upgrade the hardware on the Amazon one but you'd be close to the price of the Eastwood by that point anyway. Great video!

Have the same one as the amazon one, paid 30$ for it.
Needed it once on a car with VERY thick quarter panels, with one that was baconed and dented, so it didn't just need to roll the fender I needed to pull it and straighten the damaged parts.
It did fine, even when reefing on that handle, only issue I ever had was that lock nut that goes on the end of the jack screw, it got loose twice on me before I tack welded it on. It's a design fault that the eastwood also has, whole jack screw is spinning so obviously it wants to loosen the nut. Should have a cotter pin or something, nylon lock nut doesn't suffice.
I would get the nicer one if I had a business or something but for personal use, it's one of those tools that only gets used once every few years on which you can cheap out IMO

They don't all come from the same factory, but in my experience there's still only a few, or at least if they're not from the same factory they are made following the same blueprints and BOM.
As far as I've seen there's Eastwood which is the original design that most other copied because it's been around for decades, then there's Parts Shop Max, Stance, then there's a few random brands that aren't very popular. All there is left is generic ones which are all following the same design and similar quality as the amazon one shown here.

I just ordered one off eBay was looking into the Eastwood one but 130 for the combo pack after shipping compare to $70 for heat n roller *SOLD* wish me luck guys!

With enough heat you will get the same results. More then likely the only trouble will be time but if you’re experienced won’t be much at all

Does the thickness of the metal really matter? I haven't tried this yet so im not sure the amount of force applied. The jack screw and welds are the most important

Similar response……….yeah, if I were doing dozens or hundreds of fenders, I would go with the Eastwood, but, im taking the chance and going for the Amazon one. I only have to do the rear fenders as I went with wider tires and dont want to chance cutting them on the track. Im sure it will do fine if i take my time like the other videos say to do………..

Never gonna say the amazon one was better though eh. At the end of the day it doesnt matter how good the welds are or thinner metal because to roll an arch you shouldnt be applying tons of force unless you plan on destroying your arches.
Ultimately, get the amazon one. Will do the same job.

I’m bending a fender, not a steel rod. I could care less about the thickness. As long as it does the same task

Tried the 50 dollar amazon roller, and one of the nuts was welded crooked. I couldn't use it, but Amazon refunded my money and let me keep the roller. Worth a shot i guess. Ended up buying an eastwoood anyways.
